It is the opinion of many people in the general public that instead of putting a stupid camera on Mars to take pictures of dirt you should work on inventing a transporter so that people who miss their friends can see them and not have to pay stupid airfares, get crammed into a tin can like a sardine, get airsick, arrive sore and not have enough time with their friends and loved ones!

They have made a transporter.Nasa was able to "transport" a single ion from florida to texas.But it wasnt a real tranpost, they simple created an identicle ion from the data.
and the reason a transpoter is impossible.(info taken from the physics of star terk) A matter transported would take the energy of 1000 1 million megaton nukes to take apart the matter, and then the same energy to reassemble it.Plus the matter would fuse with anything it touched during the reassembly process.Not to mention the eletrical energy would be not be tranfered ,so your brain waves would be gone.essentialy you would have a hunk of flesh.
