Lg.Is, NY RENA OWEN....IMAX....AND AFTERWARDS

Hello all,

I just wanted to say that yesterday was a complete 100% success for Docking Bay 516 and it's members. The day started a little slow but as the time passed the day got better.

First, Rena is a lovely, gracious, and totally awesome woman. She was nothing but friendly and nice to everyone. Hanging out and talking to her at dinner was a pure joy. Anytime Rena is in the area I'm sure DB516 members will be clamoring to be there.

Secondly, Thanks to all the DB516'ers who were able to make it. Despite the weather everyone had a great time. We'll be doing more stuff like this...so be ready.

Orin and Triss get a special thanks for showing up in thier killer Jedi costumes. They both looked awesome and were great additons to the day.

Some Highlights:

1. The "mob" of Children at Ollie's. I now know how Han felt when he met the Ewoks
2. All the lovely ladies who came up and wanted to express their fondness for the helmeted one
3. Doing my own "Fett - Singing in the Rain" routine.
4. The Dinner
5. The get-together afterwards.
6. The car ride home "Jay, can you reach my lightsaber?""Yeah...sure...right-away"
7. Most importantly HAVING DINNER WITH RENA OWEN

Yeah, they'll be up soon I hope. I was busy in the costume so I didn't get to take many pics, but other's did. The links will be posted as soon as they're up.

 

Yeah I had a great time also & thank everyone who helped,plus getting a big hug &thanks from Rena was worth all those hours in the rain.

 

I couldn't have said any of that better myself Jay. It was an amazing day. The event went above and beyond what I expected it to be like. I had a lot of fun. Ms. Owen is such a wonderful and nice woman. I look forward to seeing her again someday.
