Return of Clue ~ RPF Edition! -- feedback needed!!

The classic detective game, now with a roleplaying twist!

There will be six players; each representing one of these colors:

Yellow Green Red Blue White Purple

I will be your host.



MURDER AT THE MANSION:
Mr. Boddy has been killed. Your characters are all suspects and all want to know what really happened.

OBJECTIVE 1: Find out who killed Mr. Boddy, with what weapon and in what room.
OBJECTIVE 2: Play your character in an entertaining thematic way that gets you votes from the other players.

Suspects: one of the six characters on the roster corresponding to yellow, green, red, blue, white and purple.
Weapons: Knife, Candlestick, Revolver, Rope, Lead Pipe and Wrench.
Rooms: Hall, Lounge, Dining Room, Kitchen, Ballroom, Conservatory, Billiard Room, Library and Study.


Starting the Game:
Once we have all six player slots filled, I will post an official "START GAME!" Post.
Each player will get sent a list of clues. You each know three weapons/rooms/suspects that were NOT involved.
A player's first suggestion/accusation post should introduce their "character" to the group.


Making a Suggestion:
Players should post once per day with a suggestion as to who killed Mr. Boddy, with what weapon, and in which room. Only one such suggestion post is allowed per day per player; a player not making a suggestion in a 24 hr period gets a demerit which may be used against him/her at the end of the game.

Players may make as many posts as they like in a day, but only one suggestion per day.


Proving a Suggestion True or False:
After 24 hours are up, or after all players have made a suggestion, I will post a list of all the suggestions and who disproved each. I will then PM the players, telling them which part of their suggestion was disproved.

Note that you will only be disproved by one player (the next player on the roster who has one of the cards used in your suggestion), and if that player has more than one possible card, I will only show you one.




Winners:
The player to suggest the right people, using the right weapon and in the right room wins the DETECTIVE award. I will check these all at once each day. If two players make the same suggestion, the player with the fewest demerits wins. If two players make the same suggestion and have the same number of demerits, both win.

Once that winner has been declared, it will be time to vote for the QUALITY POSTER award. The players will vote for the player they thought posted THE VERY BEST MOST ENTERTAINING AND ENJOYABLE posts of the game by sending me a private message to that effect. In the case of a tie, myself or one of the mods will break the tie.

Both winners will get colors for 24 hours. NOTE: a player can win both the DETECTIVE and QUALITY POSTER award; they then get colors for 48 hours.

Part of your character's name needs to be related to the color you chose, so Ms. Jag will not work. If you want to add a purple-themed word to it, it will be fine.

Just for clarification: Once the game starts we're basically going to be acting as the character we created right? Kind of like roleplaying? And we're pretty much making in-game chitchat?

 

Yes, you are role playing as the character you create. You will need to make one role-play post with each suggestion. You may role play further with the other players if you wish.

"One of you is a murderer!" Sheriff Black thundered, surveying the six suspects gathered in the hall. "Mr. Boddy was killed last night by one of the people in this room! If you can discover who the murderer is, the rest of you will be allowed to leave. Otherwise I will have to arrest all of you." Black scowled around the room. Murders were messy, nasty businesses. He hoped this would get resolved quickly, so he could move onto something nicer. Maybe a pleasant, peaceful burglary would come up to take his mind off this nasty matter.

Miss. Daisy glared at Sheriff Black, because she was absolutely appalled that SHE was potentially being accused of murder. As if! She always thought that Mr. Boddy was a peculiar fellow and she was surprised or sympathetic that he was dead. But that didn't mean that she would've even been interested in killing such a loser. Other things required more attention, like the pedicure she had scheduled in just an hour. Miss. Daisy realized that this whole scenario could end up taking a long time, so she decided to speak.

"I've generally made it a point to avoid Mr. Boddy, but I did happen to see Dr. Ivory speaking to him yesterday in the library. And the doctor was carrying a candlestick at the time." Miss. Daisy explained.

My accusation: DR. IVORY, CANDLESTICK, and LIBRARY

 

Missed it. Oh I love this game. I'm not sure if anybody defeated me last time around. Have fun everybody!!
