Bothans ARE in the core rulebook. Do you have the OCR (orginial core rulebook) or the RCRB (revised -blah blah blah). You'll know by the cover. The RCRB has characters from EP2 on it, and even says Revised Core Rulebook, plus the pages are bluish, instead of the OCR white pages.

I would post a quick stat block of the race, but its against the copyright laws. Talk to brandon if you want a copy of the RCRB, Starships of the Galaxy, Darkside and Rebellion sourcebook.

oooh....this Thread almost fell off the page. I'll have to revive it. For those of you who are going to be involved in the RPG, I have just recently purchased the Ultimate Alien Anthology. It features over 180 playable species (and yes Jawas are in it, but I'll get to that later. Please post your'e intended race here and I will post some game information on that race. I already know that Megan wants a Jawa, and that Court will be playing a Twi-lek, so I'll start with those. Everyone else, please post you're race now.

Jawas are intelligent scavengers of short stature. Found in seemingly every dark nook and cranny of Tatooine, Jawas survive by scrounging for scrap, which forms the basis of their economy, and hiding from the planet?s terrible predators.
Although not advanced technologically, Jawas have a gift for discovering unusual ways to make things work ? at least for a little while. Though most people despise Jawas for their underhanded practices (and unpleasant odor), they also realize that Jawas occasionally lay their hands on priceless treasures.
Jawas prowl the deserts and rocky basins of their homeworld in enormous tracked vehicles called sand-crawlers. These vehicles also contain workshops and storage chambers cluttered with treasure or junk, depending on how one views scrap.
Personality: Jawas are opportunistic and cowardly. They have a well-deserved reputation as thieves and swindlers, although they would hardly consider these words insults. Jawas are proud of their ability to acquire what others obviously no longer need and sell things that require frequent maintenance and costly replacement parts.
Physical Description: Jawas stand 1 meter tall on average. They wear dark-hooded robes that cover all but their glowing eyes. Xenobiologists speculate that Jawas evolved from cave-dwelling rodents, and few other species that have dealt with Jawas would disagree.
Homeworld: Tatooine, located in the Outer Rim.
Language: Jawas have a complex language incomprehensible and unteachable to non-Jawas. It consists of almost meaningless syllables that only make sense when combined with pheromonally produced emphasis. (Even when a Jawa isn?t actively coversing, his scent can tell others his mood.) When bargaining with non-Jawas, they use a simplified form of their native tongue known as Jawa Trade Language.
Although they can learn to understand other languages, Jawas lack the vocal capability to speak any language but their own.
Example Names: Aved Luun, Dathcha, Eet Ptaa, Jek Nkik, Jik?tal, Het Nkik, Hrar Kkak, Rkik Dnec, Tteel Kkak.
Age in Years: Child 1-10; young adult 11-15; adult 16-36; middle age 37-52; old 53-64; venerable 65+.
Adventurers: Jawas have little understanding of the galaxy at large. Their fear of the unknown keeps them firmly grounded on Tatooine. A Jawa is typically a scout, scoundrel, or tech specialist.

    Species Traits:
Ability Modifiers: -4 Strength, +2 Dexterity, -2 Charisma.

Small: As Small creatures, Jawas gain a +1 size bonus to their Defense, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, and a +4 size bonus on Hide checks. They must use smaller weapons than Medium-size beings use, and their lifting and carrying limits are three-quarters those of Medium-size characters.

Speed: Jawa base speed is 6 meters.

Primitive: Jawas with heroic or professional classes receive the bonus feats Weapon Group Proficiency (primitive weapons) and Weapon Group Proficiency (simple weapons) instead of the usual Weapon Group Proficiency bonus feats.

Darkvision: Jawas possess darkvision (20 meters). Darkvision is black and white only but otherwise functions as normal sight.

Skill Bonus: Jawas receive a +2 species bonus to Survival checks.

Free Language Skills: Read/Write and Speak Jawa and Speak Jawa Trade Language.

It's a bit difficult to explain, but its similar to acting, you create a character and you play the part of that character. There is one person called a Game Master, who basically writes the script of the game. It's like one big improv game with rules. I'll be bringing the books to the meeting this sunday and I'll give a quick demonstration to those that are interested.

Twi?leks are tall, thin humaniods native to the Ryloth star system in the Outer Rim. The species includes a variety of distinct subraces, but are all instantly recognizable by the tentacular ?head-tails? that protrude from the backs of their heads. Their native technology is primitive by the galactic standards, and while they haven?t developed their own means of space travel, they are common sights on many Outer Rim planets.
Sly, cunning beings, Twi?leks frequently consort with people from various ?walks of life,? including legitimate merchants, temperamental mercenaries, dangerous pirates, and wanted slavers. Their entrepreneurial spirit frequently leads them to positions of influence, and Twi?lek corporate executives and ambassadors are no less common than unscrupulous Twi?lek freighter captains and crime lords.

Personality: Twi?leks are calculating, pragmatic, and charismatic people. Generally speaking, they try to avoid being swept up in other beings? troubles, preferring instead to duck into the shadows and wait out large conflicts. From a safe hiding place, they can observe, plan, and prepare to profit from the outcome.

Physical Description: Humanoid, with long tapered head-tails, called Lekku. The average Twi?lek stands between 1.6 and 2.1 meters tall. Skin tones include shades of blue, white, and green.

Homeworld: Ryloth, a storm-swept Outer Rim planet.

Language: In addition to their native spoken language (Ryl) and Basic, all Twi?leks know a head-tail languages called Lekku. This silent, gestural language requires the use of a Twi?leks lekku and cannot be effectively ?spoken? by other species. Many Twi?leks learn to speak Huttese as well.

Example Names: Abdi Badawzi, Arali Dil, Bib Fortuna, Cesi Eirris, Con Varra, Dahz Thulaka, Deel Surool, Dia Passik, Esm Arkhee, Firith Olan, Gida Luroon, Hid Toqema, Jelahan Sirar, Klyto Sygnus, Koyi Komad, Monsula Mora, Nawara Ven, Nolaa Tarkona, Orn Free Taa, Pratari Cinn, Aalya Secura (this one is for you Court), Ree Shala, Sil Vaturha, Skawn Bonduna, Slar-dan Ti Gardi, Tavri, Tru?eb Cholakk.

Age in Years: Child 1-12; young adult 13-15; adult 16-44; middle age 45-59; old 60-79; venerable 80+.

Adventurers: Twi?leks can belong to any heroic class. Twi?lek adventurers typically leave Ryloth to explore the Outer Rim and seek fame and fortune. They prefer to work behind the scenes. Few Twi?leks can stand the regimented lifestyle of the soldier; many wind up in business (whether legal or illegal), performing as entertainers, or even serving diplomats. The Force is strong in this species, and some Twi?lek gravitate toward Jedi studies.

    TWI?LEK SPECIES TRAITS
Ability Modifiers: -2 Wisdom, +2 Charisma.

Medium-size: As Medium-size creatures, Twi?leks have no special modifiers due to their size.

Speed: Twi?lek base speed is 10 meters.

Resilient: Twi?leks are naturally resistant to toxins and illness and gain a +1 species bonus on Fortitude saves.

Low-Light Vision: Twi?leks can see twice as far as normal in dim light (such as moonlight), and they retain the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.

Free Language Skills: Read/Write and Speak Basic and Ryl, and Speak Lekku (head-tail language).

    Nam: Marcus Antalus
    Race: Human(but may change)
    Class: Lots, and Noble
    Bald, 5' 8"
Marcus is a Noble of some sort (I dont know enough about the era to give you much more on that) from the planet Ariat who for the most part tries to talk his way aout of any and every situation (but is also willing to kick some butt if need be).
I'd also like to run a protacal droid as his assistant (C7-Q3) if that is all right with Bandon.

ok, WE are currently set to run the Thrawn Triolgy, so the New Republic era, but there are still almost no Jedi. Good, we may need a Noble in the group. Will you be at the meeting? I will be showing the group a few things about the game and I have my UAA book with over 180 species.

I regretfully anounce that the RPG campaign is full. We have a list of players and a waiting list. Those that are on the waiting list will be notified and called to "active duty" when other players either leave or die. We will be PMing everybody individually letting you know if you are on the waiting list or on the play list.

I'm apologize to anyone that is dissapointed but we have more players than availability. If anyone has ever played a RPG before, you will know that to have more than 6 players SERIOUSLY slows the game down.

Yes as Carl has said, unfortunately to run a successful game we must keep the gamers to a minimum, so I really do apologize if this disappoints anyone. Carl is bringing the new book?s and we will be showing everyone what the Core rule book looks like so that they can go and pick it up at there local hobby shop or comic book store. We are also going to except players to (if they don?t already have them) pick up some role playing dice ;)

The Old Core Rulebook is very different from the RCRB. The classes have changed, and they have added a new class, the Tech Specialist. It might be a good Idea for some people to shell out $40 and buy it. If this isn't possible then I know that we will have at least two copies available once brandon buys his own and stops stealing mine. :) But it gets hard to share two books with 8 people and especially hard when the GM constantly needs to look at his.

Also dont' forget to enter you're character concept in the Character Creation Thread. We want to get a running tally of who is going to be what, we will be limiting the amount of some classes.

For those of you who have no idea what you want to play in the game, after the meeting you should at least have a rough idea. Remember there are over 200 playable species available. Anything you've seen in the movies, is available to play. The character classes are Fringer, Noble, Scout, Scoundrel, Soldier, Tech Specialist, Force Adept, Jedi Consular, and Jedi Guardian.
