New Jersey Smallville Discussion Thread - Warning Spoilers

I taped it. Yeah... you know you love me! But... if it's anything like my OTHER two favorite shows, it's taking a "break" in March. Pffffffffffft.

I hate to rain on your parade but according to Kryptonsite the next new episode isn't slated to air until April.

 

You know, I dealt with this crap from the WB in previous seasons of Smallville AND Dawson's Creek. I'm about to bust some heads.

And yeah, the WB sucks with the breaks they take! A lot of stations are doing that, I'm without OTH, Smallville, and Lost for a big chunk of time now. grr.

I hate when WB does this. I forget what always happens the last episode they aired. Good thing they're running this season again.....I missed a few episodes, and if I'm home at 8pm, I can watch them Clark. Yum.

I missed a few too... but the best was catching last week's when Lionel was Clark. hellooooo evil Clark. Why is it that the badass boys are so goood? (Hi, Hayden as Darth for example)

 

I love when Clark's got the red kryptonite. Then again, I love when Clark's just Clark.

Nothing beats Lex, though, when he's in meanie mode!

 

Smallville will be returning in two weeks and there are some pretty interesting updates on the Kryptonsite about the next few episodes including the season finale in May. Can't wait for it to return.

 

Tonight is double Smallville night!! I can catch up!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

 

I thought this weeks episode was pretty interesting. I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but I think what happens to Lionel Luthor by the end is pretty significant. I'm glad it's back to new episodes again. Michael Rosenbaum(Lex) is lucky. George Lucas' daughters watch Smallville and sometimes make him watch. George invited him to the ranch for a screening of ROTS recently. Read that at TVguide.com.

It seems like it's been a long time since there was a new Smallville episode. I hate the mid-season breaks . The next episode does look like a good one.

Smallville - April 20th, 2005 - "Spirit"

The show starts off a little different then ever before. It starts with a few minutes from the end of the show, with Chloe in her prom dress with mascara running down her face and a tiara on her head. She leaves the dance and makes her way down to the boiler room, knocking Jonathan Kent out with an axe handle in the process. Once she gets down there she hits a shutoff valve with the axe, which starts to pour out oil. She then takes a mop and sets it on fire, turns to throw it onto the oil, then... the show's typical intro and theme music start .
Now on to the real beginning of the show.

It starts with Lana and Chloe walking the halls as students are getting ready for the prom, decorating the school. As they are talking the bossy, stuck-up, beauty queen (named Dawn) storms over to Chloe to tear into her for an article she wrote about the prom and homecoming (I missed a few minutes here so I don't know what the article was about but it really got Dawn mad). As she is about to storm off she mentions something about how she will see her at the dance and that she will "beat her". A stunned Chloe asks what Dawn is talking about then turns around to see her picture on a poster for homecoming queen, someone has entered Chloe into the race (I don't know who, another little thing that I missed ). A stunned Chloe and Lana walk away.

Next thing we see is Luthor mansion, Lex is in a wooded area of the property along with some of his security guards where they find a dead body. Jason walks in on the seen unexpectedly and panics, Lex on the other hand is very calm. One of the guards find a wallet and learn that the ID inside is that of Dr. Crosby, Dr. Swann's assistant (you never actually see the dead woman's face so we are led to assume it is her). Jason urges Lex to call the police but Lex has other plans and has his security escort Jason to his car.

Then it's back to town where Dawn and her two friends walk into the Talon and Dawn catches her boyfriend talking to another girl. Dawn scares that other girl away and proceeds to tear into the boyfriend. He is tired of her crap and dumps her right there, the day before the prom.

Over to the Kent farm where Clark and Martha are talking about the dance and how Martha wished that Clark was going, but he has decided against it.

Back to Dawn who is driving in her car, talking on her cell phone, completely NOT paying attention to the road, trying to find a date for the prom. While flipping through the yearbook she comes across Clark's picture and asks her friend (orders is more like it) for the phone number. While writing the number down she takes her eyes off of the road and crashes through a barrier and her car hurdles down the valley, crashing at the bottom. The camera moves down to the bottom where the car is upsidedown and surrounded by meteor rocks, which start to glow and then make the area around the driver seat start to glow a green haze.

It's now after dark and we see Dawn making her way back up to the road that she was driving down when she crashed. She gets to the top and see some headlights coming her way. She steps out to flag the person down but they can't see her... she's a ghost, turns out the person driving is Martha. Dawn is standing right in the middle of the road and Martha runs right through her, except since she's a ghost Dawn posesses Martha's body (hence her new power, she's a free moving spirit that can inhabit the body of anyone she comes in contact with).

Now over to the farm where Clark walks in to find Martha singing out loud, dancing and eating icecream out of the carton . Clark asks what's for dinner and a quick-thinking Dawn hands Clark the ice cream and tells him to have that. She then starts to ask him about the prom and Clark mentions that he's not going, at this point he brings up something about not wanting to go because of his feelings for Lana. Dawn tells him that he has to go or he'll regret it, even if he has to take her (remember at this poi

And I'm home for it! Last week's was pretty interesting. I just really wish that Chloe and Clark would get together, but we all know how that's gonna end up.

 

I almost missed the show last night... that was too close. Things just keep heating up with the search for the stones. Jason working with his mother the whole time, I never saw that one coming. Speaking of the stones, does anyone know how many have been found so far? I thought that there were only two, the crystal that Clark has and the one that Lana has. Am I missing something ?

Anyway, next week is the season finale and with the extended time slot it should be a good one! Plus there's going to be the 10 minutes of previews from Batman-Begins .

 

Yesssssssssssssss! I haven't received my schedule yet, but if I am closing on Wednesday, I will not be able to see it. I do plan on switching with someone so I can be home for it! Then, I'll be off to see ROTS at midnight!

There were only two stones found. I'm almost sure of it.

Did anyone see the symbolism in Chloe running after Clark & Lana?

 

I kinda wish they'd just get over the whole Chloe & Clark thing. They do such a good job of showing how hard it is for Chloe to be near Clark all the time knowing that he doesn't have those same feelings for her that it's just hard to watch.

So they're definately going to do a 6th season and possibly a 7th, but that will be it . Unfortunately there were a lot of "no comments" in that interview but at least they were able to comment on their thoughts of more DC characters to be making an appearance on the show, but of course wouldn't hint as to who .

OCTOBER ?!?!? We have to wait that long before the next season starts? This cliffhanger is worse than when Clark destroyed his spaceship and left Smallville.

You've got another meteor shower lighting up Smallville, not only is Jason not dead but he's got Jonathan and Martha hostage, Lana crawls out of a helicopter after it crashed to the ground to find a spaceship in a field (and actually sees a door opening), and Clark has disappeared to a frozen tundra to follow the floating crystal that transported him there (not that we don't know what that means).
