Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox, my American League team. Shame my #1 team couldn't put up a fight though...ah well. Boston, you deserve this. Next year when you play the Yankees, chant "2004" at them.

I would much more prefer that we open the season against them at home and have them watch us raise the banner and such in front of them

The Cards didn't put up much of a fight but the Sox were just to strong.
Congrats to the Sox!

 

Geez, what happened to the Cards? It's like they completely fell apart. How disgusting.

At least we lost to a good team like the Sox, not the Yankees. An underdog won.

 

I'm so proud of StL being happy for the Sox. Stinks we lost, but at least we're gracious losers.

So we lost the bet, what'll it be Sox fans? We need a new banner ::Sob:: and a new sig line for Chiss and me ::double sob::

Anyway, great series. I just wish for your sakes it was more competitive. And the last links to "The Curse", for those not paying attention, were that Edgar Renteria (#3, Babe Ruth's old number) made the last out and that Gabe Kapler and Johnny Damon (#19 and #18) were hugging in the outfield.

Yup. I sure am. In fact, short of doing the style sheet, curve and side images, it's just about done. Hope to have it all finished either tonight or midday tomorrow.
