No, that would get too complicated. If you do that, then you have to up the needed to win.

You could just have a third tally 'kills' or something.

Interesting game. Obviously I can't participate in this go-round, but I'd love to play next time. Are reservations okay?;)

As for commentary on the current game, I have to say that there's going to be some serious bloodshed when someone chooses to launch an invasion. Sooner would be better than later, I'd say, because those fortresses are only going to get bigger. Nobody appears to be in an exceptionally good position for an attack, so someone's going to have to roll the dice and hope that the other guy moves, too. *Gulp* It's space chicken.

I'm quite certain there is an error in that combat update. As there was an error in the previous update. Of which I brought to your attention in the combat PM I sent. I should still have 100 armies on the board. Because otherwise they just magically disappeared and I don't recall any of my units making deals with Mephisto. You say that I have 317, yet I have none on the actual board and only 217 in transit. My combat order still stands, by the way.

Opinions wanted from anyone on the future of this game and what could be possible for the now. If all players involved in the current game could just post something, that would be good. I want to know how many of you stuck around.

Risk seems to be the best model for message-board war game, since anything more complicated is probably too intricate for the format unless highly regulated and sophisticated. Risk is a simple, but fun game that could easily be transferred to this format. Just set it up so that certain planets can only reach other planets (Tatooine can only reach Naboo and Geonosis, for example), have the GM roll dice based on the number of armies, and you've got a game.

I'm not a player, but that's my two cents.

I'm still here. And I think that this game would've gone fine if not for a few...hindrances.

Sorry if I sound a little harsh here, but I'm going to speak my mind and I'm sorry if I come off sounding like a jerk. But 21st had several instances where he didn't follow orders the way they were written. I know a few times some people had to correct him. I also corrected him at least twice, once he took away 100 of my units. Now, this didn't affect my own strategy as I knew I had them on the planet. But it may have made someone choose a different planet or something. I also had problem with him accepting that I was correct when I told him about his mistake. He replied as if I was talking about units in transit when I had specifically stated that I was talking about 100 missing fleets that never moved. Maybe it was my fault for employing a difficult strategy of unit moves or something. Even now, as the board stands, there is an error in orders that I gave him. They just benefitted me so I didn't tell him about it. Yet who knows how many times that has happened? Also, when Chim(and others) were having problems understanding the way 21st updated, he never really explained it to him or anyone. So, simply put, this was a good idea and I had a lot of fun with it. I just don't think 21st was the right person for the job at all. With a better host we'd probably be done with this and talking about how much of a success it was.
