Does all this activity mean I've been replaced as resident toy geek?

I don't remember you being the official 'toy geek'. I still love my toys even if I don't buy them all.

Back on topic though, I love the Pepe. Actually I love all the Muppets figures. I wasn't overly impressed with the Predator/Alien stuff though.

    Sorry. :(

I liked the lion from the wizard of oz thingy. Detail on these figures is amazing.

As it just so happens, and of course it quite often does, with all things constant maybe, but that depends what it is......

I visited COMICS ETC yesterday and I saw that they had The Alien Vs Predator McFarlane toy box set. $150 it was. No one buy that it's mine! :p

And what of Grieyls? I wonder why he left that job. Should have given it to me :D That place is Geek heaven. ;) Maybe it had to do with wage rates.......

I always thought comics ect was pretty pissy and $150 is a rip off!

Now that I don't work there I can say this, everything in Comics Etc is largely overpriced. Nine times out of ten you will be able to get it cheaper if you order over the net. This is the case cause the owner is a doctor and you know what they say about doctors and business sense. That is they make the worst kind of discissions and trust me he does. Needless to say the last one finally pissed me off so much that I just walked out, and that as they say is that.

Moral, it matters not what type of job it is if the boss is a bastard the work will always be terrible.

Been trying to convince him that he needs to lower his prices to a more realistic level, but I was always quoted shipping costs and all that sort of stuff... Sat down and worked out myself once and you will never guess what I found... Egads! That store could lower it's prices by half and still make a profit, so much for that theory...

$150 for that set (if it's the one I'm thinking of) is really offensive.

I was going to rely on Comics Etc to supply me with other toy lines that aren't neccessarily readily available in Australia, but those kind of prices would definitely stop me doing so.

That set costs US$25, which you could pay AU$60 for including shipping if you bought it online. Didn't TRU get it though?

That's a better price, he's a nice fella, that bloke who runs Toyworld Cannon Hill and Capalaba. But it's still a little steep. I can see the toy collecting will drop off a bit when I go home. Is that where you get your Muppets, luigi? Or are they readily available elsewhere (read: regular retail)?
