Looking like the garrison will be down for Kids Day. Not sure what, if anything other than that is planned. I'll keep poking around periodically and relay any news I hear back and see if anyone's up for coordinating something.

We're still up in the air, John. I haven't checked the dates, and I still wanna go to Bubonicon, and stuff. I think Bubonicon is a month before, right? Lemme check the dates. I'd also like to get a Scout for the wearably friendliness -- I don't wanna trot around in the sun in my TK with a backapack again.

That backapack dang near killed me.

 

It is actually the same day as Bubonicon again this year. We are going to try and remember that for next year and try to plan so we can hit both events next year. Anyway you are welcome since I think your nemisis won't be there.

 

Argh. But I wanted to go to Bubonicon. LOL. Dewback Ridge and the Mos Alba FF will be there. A few Klingons, too, I think. Lionel, for sure, and he's a bad influence on me.

Yeah, we're trying to get the Starfleet and Klingons to get along with Bubonicon this year! We're making headway!

Welllll...in a manner of speaking, yes. But even Klingons are not without drama and backstabbing sometimes.

Yeah, I guess so. Romulans are known for that. But the duty as first officer on a Klingon ship is to always plot to kill the captain -- it keeps the captain on his toes, and it helps make the first officer careful enough to someday be captain. LOL.

 

As the first officer of our ship, I KNOW I am always plotting to kill the captain.

 

And she is, too. Almost succeeded a couple times. Rather than going for a direct approach with firearms or a bladed weapon, she goes for the INdirect "let's see if I can drive him crazy enough to kill himself" approach.

 

Zoom - Have the lights been getting dimmer???

 

There are so many ways I could answer that...

If you mean, have I not been noticing that she has to turn on every single light in the house...no. I'm still walking behind her turning them off.

If you mean...are things seeming dimmer because I'm always squinting at her while I'm plotting her demise. Yes.

And if you mean...if life in general gettign dimmer...yes.

LOL.

 

HEY! I turned off a light. Probably last week. I think it was the ones in the kitchen. Not like I NEVER turn off lights. And I left the one in the kitchen on yesterday morning because the ewok was wandering around. (Yeah, that sounds good and convincing.)

Zoom, there is a classic black and white movie or maybe it was a twilight zone where the wife is trying to get rid of the husband. He is injured or something and is confined to the house so she dims the lights a little at a time and makes him think that only he can see it. Eventually she drives him insane and has him committed...

 

Ahhh... So Kaety has revealed her evil plot... That explains much!

I shall counter her by turning the lights out before she can dim them!!!

(People didn't need much of a plot back in the B&W days, did they?)

BTW Zoom - I suspect that the tendency to leave lights on is an attribute of double X chromosones.

 

Our neighbors put flickering rope lights up outside my bedroom window... I think they are trying to drive me insane...
