Got this off the SWNZ website for those in Auckland or surrounding regions who can drive

    "
STAR WARS and Sci-Fi collectibles Swap Meet - UPDATE

The booking at the Grey Lynn Community Centre (474 Great North Road, Grey Lynn) is confirmed for October 12th. Entry will be free for buyers, and there will be a small fee for sellers ($5-10, depending on table space required, in order to offset the hall hireage cost). Sellers can set up from 1pm, and buyers can enter from 1:30pm.

It is still a few weeks away yet, but any sellers/dealers who would like to book their space in advance can email either Rob or Matt G.

We already have a number of enthusiastic sellers signed up, and some fantastic collectible and hard-to-find merchandise lined up. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements, and visit our friends over at Stella Nova, who have been gracious with their assistance and support! "

    >Buzz not doing his job

Oi! I represent that remark! :p

Besides, I'm not the North Island CR. :)

I did see that on the SWNZ website a few days ago, but ran out of online time to post it here that night ... and then forgot about it. :(

I don't think I'll be going - I've spent too much money last two months: the car needed both it's WoF and Registration this month! :(

What do loose vintage figures (some with accessories, some without) go for these days on average?

Nothing too rare, except maybe an Anakin Skywalker, and a promo Ghost Ben.

I need a new PC, and wonder if my loose figure collection (80 odd vintage figures, Tauntaun, Falcon w/ instructions but no saber ball, AT-ST, Jabba, couple of beat up die casts) could help finance it...

If any one goes to one of these swap meets and sees any sw:ccg cards im interested

Thing is I would use a new PC daily. I use my scummy old P2 daily. But I can't even play Jedi Knight 2 and I'm the Games Moderator. :(

My vintage figures? They've been in a box in the attic for 3 years. I might as well translate those hunks of plastic into something I actually appreciate & use. Oh yeah. I also have a Vintage landspeeder, speeder bike, ewok glider, & smashed x-wing (good for parts like the laser guns, landing gear & cockpit & decals) too.

At ~$25 / figure I could potentially get two grand, more than enough for a new P4 2GHz box. And that's not counting the vehicles / Jabba etc...

the bar and sheep are that way

    (Jedi mind trick stops)

    Now pray that it works

Gee, someone's been busy organising. :)

Maybe it should be noted that the Auckland Swap Meet isn't just for Star Wars - it's for sci-fi and fantasy as well (I think). :)

Do we actually have an official SWNZ christchurch chapter now? If so I guess I have to inform the RSA to post it as an event on the fan force boards.

What the HELL are you thinking JP?

In another 10 years of those figures sitting in your box - they'll be twice as valuable!

Then think of the computer you could get.

I don't give a crap about buying SW stuff, Farmboy, quite frankly. You're welcome to them, and the sheep you put aside for me. :p

    Damn Chch swap meet.

JP, I'd be very keen for the Max Rebo Band. I only collect a few star wars things, stuff thats kinda obscure in the pop culture sense.

How much are you willing to sell it for?

P.S. I've just come into a Giant Tie Fighter, I have no idea what model or make it is as its missing a license plate :D . You can fit a figurine in it. Its in good knick, & I'm told its form the original trilogy relaese back in the day.(that day being some horrible 80's flashback).

Anyone keen? I hav no idea how much its worth, I'll try & find a pic of it somewhere online.
