Does anyone know who she was or why she got up there? On the last day in the Digital Theater during the 3rd season preview, and after Dave Filoni had the clonetrooper-outfitted kid on stage, a woman possibly in her forties took advantage of the distracting moment and got up there, sat in his chair and said something to the LucasArts guy hosting the panel. Security and staffers escorted her off stage and appeared to confiscate her camera even though she didn't take pictures when on the stage. After that, as the panel continued, security in the room was beefed up.

Yeah, I saw that too. When she first got up on stage I thought she was the kid's mom, but then she sat down and... well, yeah. I didn't see them take her camera, but I'm pretty sure she was escorted out. At the very least, she was escorted to the back of the room.

Wish I had seen that! In general, Star Wars fans are pretty respectful of the celebrities and special guests we are lucky to see at Celebration (and other shows) so you don't usually see things like this. But I'm honestly surprised we don't see it more often. I'm glad we don't, but figured we would see more of it.

A Trekkie who paid a noticeable chunk of money to go to a SW convention? More likely she'd just had a few drinks or something like that.

She got wasted at the Ice Bar!

Haha, yeah I saw this too, I was in the first few rows for that panel, the last thing I did at CV, and I thought she was the kid's mom... but then was just generally confused what the heck she was doing up there!

It WAS very near the ice bar. Anyway...I saw a woman who was checking her makeup and all all through the interview near the back. What did this lady look like?

Good point on the bar. I was actually surprised to see them with a room selling booze all day at something they call a family-friendly event. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good drink or several, but there's a time and place for it and the middle of the afternoon at a Star Wars convention isn't it.
I was even more surprised to see that they let people take their drinks OUT of the Ice Bar area.
Pretty much every session I went to in the Digital Stage I saw someone wandering in with a drink in their hand.

I thought it was awesome, that is exactly what was missing from the past Celebrations -- booze! No celebration is complete without booze. And the drinks were really good, too, the custom drinks like the Death Stick were amazing. I got a drink one day at like noon exactly, it was fantastic. Just what that day called for. I hope they do it again at CVI.

It should be family-friendly, but let's be honest it's 90% adults, so it's not a bad thing to have a place like that.

I'm pretty sure the only time the drinking was inappropriate was when the couple who brought in a bottle of wine and some crappy TAAKA vodka were sloshed at the TFN party... stay classy, San Diego.

If you're referring to the couple that had the chick in the pink bra, they were taken care of.

Ah yes. The guy who looked like the bass guitarist from Slaughter with the girl in the pajama pants. I saw them getting escorted out.

I sat and watched them for a minute wondering who that was.....I was too tired to realize they didn't have wrist bands or I would have said something. They were chugging straight booze. But they did add color to an already unforgettable party.

What about the lady who snuck onstage at the Main Event? I think she was a little tipsy. Not wasted...just not all there.

    ...

    ...oh yeah. That was Carrie.

That woman just looked like a 40-something year old cheerful-looking mom in a printed dress or something. Good point about the alcohol though; that might have been it. Yes, they escorted her to the back and kept looking and saw the camera taken from her and saw staffers walking back to the front with that camera.
After that I saw staffers (is that the right name for them?) go up to a kid in the front-right area and escort him out too. I couldn't tell if they were just keeping people from doing video or any photography during that panel.

Dude, I'm supposed to be the one here who takes a giant leap over the previously established "don't go there" lines. ;)

Was the woman who got up on stage a somewhat larger woman with dark brown or black hair by chance? There was a woman like that who was going around the autograph hall and rambling on to some of the guests for 15-30 minutes before then asking the guests for a free autograph. John Coppinger and his wife told me about her as she was at CIV and did the same thing there. This time she was doing this to a very irritated Richard Bonehill (the guy who played many of the Stormtroopers in all of the films) until someone else came up for his autograph and she then moved on to the next guest to do the same thing to again. No idea if it was her who walked up on stage, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was her or one of the few other "unbalanced" types I encountered while volunteering for Official Pix.

OK, wasn't sure if it was her or not. There were several people I ran into there who didn't quite seem to be "there" if you get my drift. Not that they can't enjoy the show as the rest of us can, but they can make things interesting at times.

What do you mean she wasn't in costume as a slave Leia? It would have been SO EASY for her to change into something considered 100% appropriate to wear to a con!

The same lady (i was at both of these panels) also ran up on stage on Saturday in the Chaplin Theater after the Robot Chicken Panel. As Seth Green and the gang walked off the stage, she stood on the end as she tried to get their attention. I remember Seth Green looking at her for a second and then looking away fast and running off. She had on an american shirt that day. I couldn't believe it when I then saw her again on Sunday jump up on stage again at the Digital Theater.

    Bizarre.
