Dont worry Runner happens here all the time where I'm at. The local news even dedicates an entire newscast to blowing it out of proportion when there is only a 30% chance of snow

 

The news around here barely mentions a 30% chance. We're all like, ehhhh.

 

Hey one mention of flurries and my news people freak out about it. And we usually end up with absolutely nothing

 

Well no reason to get salt all over your car if it's not even going to snow. Besides the definition of snow showers is that the snow doesn't even stick.

 

Oh well. I just want one good dumping of snow where I live then I can say heck with winter, bring on the tornadoes of spring

 

National forecast is threatening it in the West, some of it heavy, tonight and tomorrow (my niece might see some where she is) allegedly heading my way during the afternoon; but the local phone forecast just says rain.

Runner, they do that here too! Probably because they've been badly caught out so many times!

JM77, you can keep those tornadoes, I'd rather have the snow as the lesser of two weevils!

 

Well I live in northwestern Missouri and in the past two years I bet we've barely ten inches of snow total

 

I live in Southern UK, JM77, we've had some heavish snow (about six inches each time) for two of the past three years -- the first year I had to drive half the width of the country in what we call a blizzard; amusing to see all the cars going up the road sideways....not!

 

We get real snow here once every 15 years or so. By real snow I mean more than a foot at once. Usually we get a few 2-6 inch showings. Last year we got none, year before that only once. Year before that we got three storms that each contained a foot or more. I remember Tony Kornheiser complaining that he didn't remember moving to Greenland.

 

I remember like 3 years ago we had so much snow I was out of school for almost 2 weeks at a time just for snow days
