Ever since "Mistery Men" I can no longer take seriously "reversed sentence pearls of wisdom", such as this latest fortune cookie.

"In the middle of a routine shopping trip on Coruscant..." Yeah, way to start off the episode with a bang!! Reminds me of ROTS :p

I hope that Bane's mere presence can turn this episode into something really cool, cause just the premise itself is not doing much for me.

I know, the shopping trip doesn't inspire much confidence in me.

However, Brian Kalin O'Connel directed my all-time favorite episode, and I have only disliked one of the episodes he directed. I suppose I'll try this episode if it's in his capable hands. :p

Sounds like a prequel to Hostage Crisis

It's already been established that it is a prequel to Hostage Crisis, just like last week's.

I can't wait for it. Bane is my favorite Bounty Hunter right behind Jango Fett, so seeing him makes it all the more better. And I don't see all the fuss with the "routine shopping trip" part. I'm pretty sure that it won't be as bad as it sounds. It'll probably just open with Threepio and Artoo in a market for a mere minute or two before Bane strikes.

Huh, I really think about C-3PO shopping when I hear the words "Clone Wars".

    For da love of...

On the subject of the episode, I'l be watching for Cad Bane. Well to be more precise I'll be watching just to hear the sheer awesomeness that is his voice.
And truthfully I'd rather they'd just have R2 in this one, 3PO has never been amusing to me, unlike say the shows take on Jar Jar, but R2's got spunk and moxie.

Honestly, when you hear the words Clone Wars, what is the first thing that pops into your mind? Clones, and Wars, d'oh! How exactly will this help broaden the universe when the outcome is already predetermined? We know that Bane will get the Senate plans, and we know that 3PO and R2 will escape. There is no tension, and absolutely no reason for this episode to exist.

They've gotta give Bane something better to do with his time.

I thought they mentioned earlier this season that they were going to talk about C-3PO first owner...

Not interesting cast, but I'll watch it before I judge.

Yea I thought they mentioned that as well, maybe they changed it to this? Or it could be that we'll get to that story as well somewhere done the line this season.

Wouldn't it be easier to download C-3PO's memory than torture him? I mean, that's what they did in Hidden Enemy.

Could be as a bounty hunter Bane just doesn't have accesses to that sort of tech and therefor as to settle with a more primitive method of doing it, and besides torturing is fun! Especially when it 3PO.[face_devil]

Cad Bane alone will be worth it for this episode. We haven't seen him since "Children of the Force."

Care to elaborate... at all? I mean what exactly has you so worried that your entire thoughts on an episode can be summed up using an emotcon? *Shrugs* Simply curious is all really. [face_thinking]

Perhaps as a protocol droid in the service of Naboo (not to mention being 'pimped out' by Anakin himself), Threepio has redundancies, firewalls, and security measures for his information.

Or maybe downloading it would leave a trail that his users could pick up on and say 'hey, something's up', and if Threepio was missing for too long, it could be a potential security breach.

I think that it is time for C-3PO to shine. He really needs his own episode and this one might be it. Sure galactic shopping is not the best reason for having R2 and C-3PO on the streets of Coruscant but let's all face it, the best chemistry that we've seen between C-3PO and R2 since ROTJ are those UK commercials with them at Walmart.

[face_blush] sorry my bad...in short this episode will determine if I'll continue watching the Series...so far it looks good but that doesn't guarantee anything. The last two episodes left me really aggravated.

You didn't like Assassin? I thought it was one of the strongest episodes of S3 next to the two premire "Clone Cadets" and "Arc Troopers".

    Maybe.

But droids can't feel pain, so that leaves torture right out.

Or they did program droids to feel pain, in which case droid programmers are sick, sick people.

    I thought women liked shopping...
Then what were those droids in Jabba's palace in RotJ screaming about?

You need to see the ROTJ audio commentary. Lucas choice that for some emotion. Droids can't think or feel anything, since they're machines.

I was actually pretty excited about this when they originally said that Threepio had a previous owner and Bane needed to get some esoteric information (something about the Outer Rim?) out of him.

Nice to explore Threepio's life pre-Anakin.

    Now this, another lame sequel.

I don't want to offend anyone but I don't get this at all. We have a slow start to Season 3 and people say "oh this episode will make it or break it for me."

When all reality most if not everyone who says that will come back anyway.

Seriously, what the hell is going on this season? What's next, Chuchi gets a massage? All this mundane stuff, some things I would rather just stay a mystery, like how Padme gets her groceries, maybe there are more important things you can show us about the clone wars?
