    Vjun, The Sewers

"That has yet to be determined," he replied, lowering his blade to his side. "Always in motion the future is, you of all people should know that, Saya."

He was uncertain as to how he would regret leaving the woman's apprentice alive, but at this moment it did not matter. What mattered was completing the task he was entrusted with and that was slaying this traitor. Still it did bother him what the fallen apprentice had said. Was the reason this war persisted because of Jedi like himself? If so then that meant the Jedi Protectorate was wrong. Despite his doubts of the Potentium philosophy, he still believed that the Protectorate was following the Will of the Force and that will currently required him to slay this Seer.

Setting aside his doubts to sift through later, Erian held up his emerald blade. "You have two choices, Saya, accept your fate and die swiftly and painlessly or resist and make your death more agonizing than necessary. Which will it be?"

Callista shook her head and continued on not even minding the explosion up until her new found ‘friend’ came rushing up beside her half covered in dust and finally introduced himself. “Toben huh,” she shook his hand for a moment before moving forward again. “Just call me Callista.” It was a quick and easy introduction, which considering the situation was more than most could ask for.

The conversation after that was practically non-existent, up until they arrived at the cavern, and that on its own, was a breath taking moment. Well, if Callista had to breathe anyway. This was not on any of her records, any of them, and it made her mentally course her lack of intelligence. She would need to rectify that in the future, if they had a future.

She glanced around at the comings and goings, the equipment, despite their earlier seemingly frightened appearances, the overall group of these people seemed more organized more, professional. “So,” Callista thought to herself. “They’re either really organized smugglers, paramilitary, or true military.” That last option didn’t sit well with here. Sure they could have been any number of Anti-Jedi military forces saving kids, or they could be Sith military, she held about as much love for the Sith as she did Jedi.

She had to play along though, so she looked over at Toben and smiled. “Looks like I was wrong, you guys have a rather well together operation here.” She stepped up beside the loader they were ushering the kids onto and placed a hand on it. “So, once we’re out of here, what’s the plan? There are still Jedi ships in orbit, I assume you have some sort of plan for getting past them? Then what? I’ve got no choice but to come along for the ride, I might as well be useful for while I’m around.”

    Terryn Kae
    Nesron Battlefield

Even though he was fully intune with the battle, Terryn noticed the absence of Lora Skywalker, whose presence was felt almost immediately when she was near. He would admit that her Force thumbprint was large and wide, but her actual calm and temperament was too erratic for a Jedi Master. He would even admit that at times he lost control, one of those examples being now, but he was just a Knight, and didn't want to be a master until he had mastered that trait.

With her disappearance came a whole slew of problems. The Sith forces had surrounded all of those who were guarding the Atlas landing zone, and Terryn noticed many Imbued dropping like flies. He tried to block out that the thoughts of what would happen if they lost this fight, instead focusing all of his worry and anger on the opponents. A slash to the face, swing to the chest, jab to the stomach. Would the line of Sith ever end?

And in the distance, he saw the tall figure. White mask, red lightsaber swooshing back and forth at Imbued. Terryn knew him as one name: The Slayer. He'd heard of the warriors almost flawless reputation.

"Hold!" His ally, Jedi Knight Lousea, shouted to some of her Imbued soldiers. "Hold the line!" Her voice carried, and Terryn made eye contact with her before looking back to the Slayer. None of them could face him alone. Not a one, or they'd die rather easily. And of course the Chosen One abandons them right when he gets near.

"Knight Lou!" Terryn hollered at his fellow member as he did so. "Focus your soldiers on the Slayer! Rally a few more Jedi! We can take him on together!" It might be hopeless anyway, but he would have to be taken out before this battle could begin to end.

"The Yellow King, that´s what happened here. That´s what they call it at least. A plague only affecting the Selonians. Makes them suffocate slowly without anything we can do about it." He smirked and then looked down to the child. "for now we got a few hundred patients, but if this isn´t contained soon, this might wipe out selonians on Corellia. Don´t even make me think what it may do to Selonia itself, if quarantine failed." Looking at the Jedi he nodded. "but you are probably looking for Cilarn, are you? A little Jedi to Jedi chat? I got no big love for you guys and your war, but Cilarn, he is doing incredible work here."

"Spare me your memorized lessons aboutthe future being in motion, Jedi. You know nothing about the future." Saya slowly sdiestepped and her lightsaber rised, still not activated. She had time, obviously, being in no hurry to begin the duel as her former apprentice had been. She gave the Esian a smile, that was almost generous, if not pitiful.

"And there is a third alternative how this can end, Jedi Knight. I could kill you. Or are you so sure of your abilities that you have not considered why the call you a knight and me a Master." And finally her golden blade hissed into existence. "For I have foreseen this duel and I assure you, you will not kill me." She added with a smirk and patiently and with all the cinfidence of someone knowing what was about to happen, she slowly began to approach her opponent.

"Well, when we gathered those children we had no idea half the Jedi fleet would hsow up here, so we had to improvise a little on that." Torben sighed and his concern showed. A man passed him telling him the children were almost ready now. He caalled him a General and torben only nodded. "We were militia on Vjun. We decided to abandon our post when the Jedi demanded our loved ones." He explained to the mysterious woman. "But one of us stayed behind. When we get to the ship he will activate orbital def and also it won´t buy us enough time probably, we will have a few minutes the Jedi fleet might be stuck in a fight. Three, four at best. We will run for hyerspace and hope the force is with us and our children today. Not a perfect plan, but let´s hope a sufficent one." The men now boarded the vehicle. "After you." He waved to the giant metal behemoth and smirked again at her. "Welcome to the newborn Vjun resistance."

    Urijah
    Corellia, Tunnels

He looked at the TRMC solider skeptically giving a half hearted laugh, "Ah yes, the war, well I'm not exactly in favor of it either."

No Urijah was not in favor of the war, he probably hated it more than all of Corellia combined. Witnessing the Jedi doing horrible things to innocent people who stood in their way of the Sith made him sick. Though they were still doing their best to preserve justice and freedom, Urijah knew there was a better way. Knowing he could probably not doing anything to change the Jedi Protectorate's minds he decided he would do simply what he thought was the right thing to do. He wondered who this "Cilarn" was. The name was not familiar but then again, Urijah did not exactly love talking to other Jedi when he was around. Still, it would be nice to see another Jedi after some six years who could fill him in on the situation.

Looking at the sickly Selonian child he decided the disturbance he felt could wait until he met Cilarn and investigated the Yellow King further. Turning his attention back to the TRMC solider he asked, "Where could I find Cilarn here?"

    Serith Hayon
    Corellia, Tunnels

The stench down here was horrific, and Serith was about to plug his nose before he caught the attention of nearby personnel. He decided that may not be the most cordial plan of action, and instead shoved both hands into the pockets of his hooded jacket. A lady approached in a medical uniform.

He smiled politely as she tried to make light of the situation.

“Ha, no you're absolutely correct! Though I've always believed my mother was the hive mind of our family, perhaps we do share some similarities in cultures?” he answered with a chuckle.

“I was interested in locating Cilarn, I've heard he is part of the operation here and I am looking to help him.”

It was believable, at least in his mind. This Cilarn was undoubtedly his mark, but how would he go about capturing this man if he was so embroiled within this welfare task? At least if Serith offered to help, maybe to earn Cilarn's trust, he would have done a good deed to offset the bad. He wasn't devoid of a conscience; he knew what he was doing was despicable in the eyes of many. To him though, this was his calling. He would make it as a big shot bounty hunter one way or another, and would hold the reputation for not killing any of his marks to go along with it.

He scowled, the barb stung. It reminded him of his failure as a master. It reminded him of her, his apprentice, the one he had been entrusted to teach and guide and grow into a Jedi Knight. An apprentice that never made it to Knighthood because of him. "Titles mean little," he unwittingly snarled back and gritted his teeth. He called upon his teachings to release the burst of anger and regret into the Force. He would not let this traitor get under his skin.

He pointed his lightsaber at her and mockingly replied, "You could be a master of foolery for all I care and know."

Battle of Nesron, Near Western Line
    Hope.
Longstar could sense a shift in the morale of the Republic soldiers on this part of the battlefield. The wild attack was working, and as he and his valiant troopers stabbed, tackled, and hacked their way into the disrupted enemy mob, he could feel that victory - at least over this force of Sith - was near. He could sense the Imbued Hertstrom at his side; he and his command staff had caught up with the attack and were helping to fell a number of enemy warriors and warbeasts as the detached half of Atlas plowed ahead.

A hundred or so meters beyond the Sith that stood in their way, Arek could hear the loud report of a concentrated Republic blaster firing position. Apparently the 115th was still holding its own on this part of the battlefield. The Sith here yet held the advantage in numbers, but Longstar’s men were evening the odds with every step forward they took.

Just then, he locked eyes with a black robed warrior who must have been the commander of this enemy force. It was near-human, but that’s where the similarities ended. It was absent a nose and its sickeningly-oversize grin made its intent clear: he and his soldiers were fighting to the end. Reaching out momentarily within the Force, Arek knew immediately that the being, Vibre it called itself, welcomed the very real possibility of death here and now.

Vibre’s line was desperately trying to find its footing under a torrent of blaster fire and melee attacks, as the encirclers were now the encircled. Arek noticed a Sith step from the crowd of Imbued as if to move on him and his command team, a purple saber staff in his hands. The Sith, a Nautolan with tattooed tentacles, would have made a decent show of force, had he not tripped over a falling enemy Imbued as he advanced. Arek saw his opportunity to take on Vibre, who was still moving forward.

"Hertstrom to me!” Longstar yelled as he ran toward the falling Nautolan, bisecting the being’s staff with a swift downward windmill strike from his own single blade. He brought it over his head as he came abreast of this enemy, sending the misguided soul to the Force with a fierce stab into its back.

Using his right hand to direct, he telekinetically gripped the two still-activated saber staff ends, and hurled them like lances at the approaching Vibre. Not about to give an enemy duelist a second chance to kill him today, he charged directly at the Sith commander intending to unleash a flurry of quick high-low strikes. He kept his guard up to the point that if his opponent sent the staff pieces back at him, he would be ready.

The rest of his portion of Atlas surged ahead as well, determined to finish things as the battlefield quickly began to resemble something out of an ancient holovid.

The Imbued did surround him and eyed them. Hard to say what they had been before they had been “given” the force but from the tone their leader might as well have been security of sorts. “Sure. On leave you say? So you wanted back to the starport, right? To your ship?”

He eyed the other Imbued and exchanged nods. “Mind an escort?”

„They´re coming! They are coming!” The young man with his blaster came yelling and waving, just as crew was doneppreparing the bulky freighter they would use to ship the children off-world. But the Jedi are still above. We counted five ships up there.” He was catching his breath as Morne clapped his shoulder. “Prepare the old Lady to leave, Myrah, get ready! We can wait not a second longer than necessary once our kids are here!” And he left for the children, soon arriving at the rising metal westgate that locked the tunnels leading to this old run-down and rusty station hidden in the mountains.

But Myrah felt more. It wasn´t just a trembling, but more like a nervous tickling in the force. Imbued. Artificially made force-users. And they were very near.

“That´s a lie. You do all for your masters. You do not question, you simply obey. You believe what they tell you to believe. You murder who they want to see dead. And now they send you here to kill me. Did they even care to tell you a lie why they want me to die? Probably not.”
She raised her lightsaber before her face and then slowly allowed it to slide next to her body, the tip of it pointing to the ground.
And turning sidewards she expected his attack. “Ready when you are, Inquisitor.”

Corellia, Coronet City, The Selonian Tunnels

The TRMC trooper looked at Urijah and then nodded into the direction of the deeper caverns of the tunnel complex. “He is where the really bad cases are treated. Eastern tunnel. We call it the hole. You will find few other living things on their feets there except him, so he is is kinda hard to miss.”

The trooper returned to his duties, leaving the Jedi alone. And as Urijah entered the tunnels before him, he was indeed alone with manycdying, feverish Selonians. The small tunnel was warm from the heat of dying bodies alone. Their heavy breath fighting in the dark for every bit of oxygen they could get. And among them, between them was indeed a young man in grey robes. He wasn´t much older than Urijah, maybe in his early thirties and he was lowering his hands on the heads of the dying. “Welcome, brother.” He said without looking up.

Serith Hayon saw those two figures among the dying Selonians from outside. “The man in grey, that is Cilarn the merciful.” The woman smiled and returned to her place, leaving Serith alone with the first sight of his target and the first complication. An armed Jedi who had come to visit his target, obviously.

"I am not some blind, obedient Imbued!" he snapped and against his better judgement, attacked the blind Jedi with a forward, high cleave of his emerald lightsaber. Erian pressed his advance against Saya as he continued to argue with her, though why he even bothered he was uncertain. A part of him, he supposed, did not want what she had said to go unchallenged. "Do not presume you know anything about me, traitor! Or why I serve the Protectorate faithfully. I have sacrificed much and lost equally as much!"

His ranting gave him focus, the blind anger dissipating into determination and his choppy attacks regained the fineness he was known for. Erian backed off in his assault and twirled his blade around before pointing the tip down at the ground beside him in the traditional Makashi en garde. "I do not take any assignment because I'm told to. I take what the Force wills me to. I kill because the Force wills it." He pointed the blade at her. "And I am here because of that Will. Now, enough talk. Show me what skill you have, Seer. Let's see if your premonitions can keep you alive."

Saya brought her blade up just in time and blocked every one of his attack with perfect elegance and a flawless technique. She allowed him to talk, concentrating in defending herself against his furious attack, as she danced around him. Not once she striked out at him, not once she used any opportunity to gain the initiative. As they departed her blade turned to the side in her own Makashin stance and she did not even breathe heavy. In the force her calmness radiated into the scene like a wall imprisoning his anger. "But the force spring from life, it brings forth life and in the end it cherishes life. The force is all living and it does not demand death. Never."

She nodded, as if agreeing to another round. "Only the Dark Side wishes to end all things living. Only the Dark Side hungers for war and destruction." She attacked herself with a single precise stab, but retreated into defense immediately. "And that makes you many things, but not a Jedi." Her words came out with a certainty. It was not taunting him. This was a simple judgment.

The dance began anew and she gave herself fully to it, never showing a weakness in her defense. Never attacking the enemy, but always keeping his two lightsabers at bay as they tried to kill her and end all Saya was.

    Vencin Dermun
    Battle of Nesron

The lightsaber that Ven had streaking towards the Sith Lord's legs was deflected and the Padawan found his weapon going wide due to the powerful block, leaving him wide open. In a moment of clarity he knew exactly what would happen as he lay helpless: the Sith Lord would bring his second lightsaber down, impaling him through the chest, and he would die when the red blade vaporized what flesh and organs it came into contact with. All that Ven had done, all this effort, was nothing more then staving off the inevitable.

But at least I didn't give up-

A green flash, certainly not part of the scenario that Ven had predicted, came across his vision. In that instant he felt something die, taken away, just like that. But it hadn't been him. For a few seconds Ven could only stare up at his executioner and a silly thought entered his mind: Where'd his head go?

Then Lorka's headless body toppled to the ground and Ven understood everything.

With a start, Ven picked himself up from the ground and turned towards where he saw the green flash vanish to. Specifically, where he felt a new presence suddenly enter the area. Powerful was the first thing that came to Ven's mind when his tuned senses took note of the presence. Moreso then even the now-deceased Lorka, the newcomer had power that made Ven feel like an ant in comparison. When the Padawan finally saw his rescuer though, he realized why that was. Any Jedi would be able to recognize the Lora Skywalker that was now right there next to him.

The Padawan's eyes widened upon spotting her, his jaw dropping a good inch. To think that he was actually looking upon who had to be the Republic's greatest hero-

    Less gawking, battle going on!

Current events immediately came rushing back and the Padawan reorganized his thoughts. Janus! The last he saw of his fellow Jedi was the sight of him dropping to his knees while suffocating...

"Janus!" Ven still had the other man's lightsaber. After a thought, Ven reached out and summoned his own lightsaber to his other free hand while he looked to Janus, hoping that the other Jedi was alright and prepared to toss him his lightsaber so that he may rearm.

After that...well...guess there was just going to be more fighting.

Corellia, Coronet City, The Selonian Tunnels

    "Brother"

The term caught Urijah off guard. That was not the term Urijah expected from the first Jedi to see him in over 6 years. He expected something more along the lines of traitor, coward, or even an insult regarding his status as a bastard child of the Sith. At least this Jedi, Cilarn, looked more reasonable than the past Jedi he'd dealt with. Maybe he could even help him with figuring out the disturbance he had felt earlier.

Giving a slight bow, "Master Cilarn, it is a pleasure to meet you. I am hoping you could answer a few questions for me and in return I could help in any way possible with this "Yellow King" epidemic." Urijah winced as he finished the sentence. The smell of death was over powering and the sounds of Selonian's fighting for air was not the most pleasant sound.

Hearing foot steps behind him, Urijah craned his neck around to see a hooded man walking into the cave he and Cilarn were in. Something did not feel completely right about him, but Urijah dismissed this being more concerned with the matter at hand.

Ah yes, now it was making more sense. Not everybody took kindly to the Jedi’s mass indoctrination of children into their ranks. There had been incidents, people killed, towns destroyed, lives torn asunder in the Jedi’s warmongering, and people fought back. Resistance movements like Toben’s here weren’t uncommon, they were in fact, her primary source of employment the past few years, but she hadn’t heard of one daring enough to perform a mass exodus like Toben was doing. Which as unexpected as it was might actually work.

“Well then,” She stepped up onto the loader, the metal flooring giving a loud clank with the weight of her armor’s boots. “I can’t say it was my intention to join up with any resistance movement today but opportunity provides.” She placed a hand on a guard rail in preparation for the massive machine to get moving. “Can say I won’t stick around, but I’ll do all I can to help get off planet. After all, I don’t wanna be stuck down here anymore than you do.”

He parried her stab with a riposte of his own and pressed the attack once more. But he did not assault her with the same fury he had started out with. He had regained his calm and his strikes were precise and elegant, his footwork graceful. "Than neither are you," he retorted calmly. "You betrayed your fellow Seers. You murdered them in cold blood. You say I am not a Jedi? At least I have not dishonored myself with mass murder."

Erian's green blade pressed her own gold one to the ground, forcing a lock and as he held the weapon there he met her gaze accusingly. "You preach the Force is life and death is the Darkside, yet you took lives as easily as a Sith. Your hands are red with blood and your soul just as dark, Saya. You are a hypocrite. Do not speak to me as if you know what the Force Wills."

He was growing tired of this conversation and duel. With a flick of his left hand, he coalesced the Force into a telekinetic push at the blind Seer with the intent of knocking her off her feet or at least unbalancing her enough for him to get in a strike.

"Questions?" The Jedi said that, as if hte word had some psecial meaning to him. Then he seemed to wipe the though from his mind and smiled towards the fellow Jedi. It was a bitter smile. "Nothing I can do against the Yellow King and neither can you. A harmless virus for Togorian and through the war it spreads, it mutates, it reaches Corellia and it turns out very deadly for the Selonians. We isolate them, ease their pain and wait until they die. then we burn them to contain the virus. so far it has not reached Selonia, only corellia´s population of Selonians is affected. But it has already killed a few thousand."

Cilarn smiled and closed the eyes of another Selonian. He was dead. "How can I help you Jedi friend? You said you have questions. I have not been very invovled with our order lately, but I´ll try to answer any of your questions to the best of my abilities.

Just as he had been informed of Cilarn's location, another Jedi walked up to greet his target. A wave of panic came over him; he was not prepared to handle two Jedi. Serith stopped dead in his tracks, but continued after building up the courage to do so. It wasn't as though they suspected him of anything, and he was not bold or stupid enough to attempt to seize Cilarn in the presence of this other man. He would do so when the time was right, and that was not now.

“Sorry to interrupt,” the hunter stated, standing before the two Jedi who had introduced themselves to each other almost ceremonially. Serith's upper class dialect had probably taken them both by surprise, as like most people, they likely expected to hear a sinister voice from beneath his dark hood.

“Greetings. My name is Serith Hayon. I am here to assist in any way that I can. I am newly arrived from Coruscant, so I have very little understanding of what has transpired, but I am eager to get started.”

He looked only at Cilarn, and with a short bow of his head as he finished. They would doubt him at first, but that was part of the plan.

    Myrah

    "They're coming! They are coming!"

Myrah spun herself around from her viewpoint to the city, noticing the young man who came running with his blaster in hand. For a moment, Myrah didn't know if he was speaking of the last group of children or something else. No matter, the transport freighter they were using to transport the kids had just finished repairs. Meaning time was very much of the essence.

"But the Jedi are still above. We counted five ships above." He confirmed her fears, and yet they couldn't wait. Obviously Vjun had become the hotspot for war and turmoil. Somehow, Myrah always had the lucky position of being right smack dab in the middle of it. As her mind whirled with options as to what to do, Morne hand landed on her shoulder.

"Prepare the old Lady to leave, Myrah, get ready." She had been in this place many times before, and his words of common sense seemed to calm her. "We can not wait a second longer than necessary once our kids are here!" With that he ran off to complete the task of getting that last group up. Myrah leaped into action, hurrying to Yaka. The young boy was telling many of the children a story while massaging his lekku. Myrah tapped him on the shoulder, and he turned to her.

"Gather the kids and start getting them onboard." Her eyes showed him how much emergency this depended upon. He nodded once, having felt the same tension in the air. Myrah then made her way into the cockpit, where she readied the ship. Checked all the stats, made sure just about everything was working.

All the while, in the back of her mind, Myrah could feel that peculiar tingling. Imbued. A bunch of them, coming. They were very near. She checked the last bit of stats and sat back in her seat for a moment.

A few slow breaths and her heart rate calmed a little. She always needed that technique before piloting.

    Especially past five Jedi ships.

The pack had sensed it, had drawn it into their bones the echo that echoed within them. The death of a powerful force user, especially a Sith with unbound chains was like a calling card of death, and an invitation. All three pack turned and as one muttered the idea that this brought to mind, "Worthy prey." They could see this killer of a powerful Sith general well now as one pair of eyes viewed the scene, and then two pairs, and then three pairs, and more and more gathered until all of the three packs were rapidly clawing their way to see. . .her.

The woman was a Jedi, through and through which meant more skin exposed and less armor. The padawan's of differing species would have to be worthless, but she had saved them? From the general Lorka? Why them? Reasons meant little but there was the question and the only answer was that this worthy prey had a weakness for fellow Jedi of the line. Should he toy with her? Torture her? Mutilate the padawans and make sure she saw them as they died moments before he killed her?

"Yesssssss." They hissed as one as they moved, Sith went around them, and only those desiring death stayed in their way as they charged across the line. A pack for the padawan, another for the other padawan, and one for the woman that was worthy prey and the true choice food of this banquet that his father had given him. First was to array himselves in a staggard battle formation using diamond groups that broke the packs into subgroups of four and then to leave just enough space between each gropu that a jump attack would not allow a solid kill strike on two groups at the same time.

"Yesssss!" They shouted as they parted the last true lines between them and their worthy prey. She would soon be hirs to enjoy.

    Urijah
Corellia, Coronet City, The Selonian Tunnels

Urijah looked at the new man skeptically. His voice did not match his attire at all. His voice sounded like that of a man who would spend more time gossiping about the latest goings on than in a death ridden Corellian tunnel. He was not sure that this man had just come to "help", but still, any offered would surely be appreciated by Cilarn.

"Pardon me, Master Cilarn, I have forgotten to introduce myself to you. My name is Urijah, I've been in Wild Space and Unknown Regions for the past 5 or so years and I was hoping you could help fill me on the state of things. Maybe you could help fill me in as well," Urijah said looking in Serith's direction. Urijah leaned in closer to Cilarn so his voice was barely audible to Serith, "Have you felt it too? Coming into the city and wandering through the residencies and the government I was over come by a very dark sensation, but it started to fade when I was about half way through the market place. Then it just ended when I got to these tunnels."

    Lora Skywalker
    Battle of Nesron

She gritted her teeth and soaked in air. It stank on the battlefield. Burned flesh, death spreading like a cloud. Ignoring the impressed Padawan Lora eyed the incoming danger. Beasts. New beasts unlike she had seen any before. And if their power was up with their hunger, they were trouble. They were big trouble.

Her lightblade changed hands and she looked over to the Sith lines storming to take their defenses, then the Jedi´s second defense line.

"Padawan, take your friend and retreat. I will take care of the dogs." She did not suggest this, she ordered it. The Padawan had been chosen by the force to be saved, she needed to keep him out of this.

And then she turned to the three nearing beasts. They split, they preyed for all three of them. And letting out her breath she summoned the force, soaked it in, tapping into the power on the field of battle, the fear, the terror, the unity and strength that slowly faded into he force wih every dead solder Jedi or Sith. "Now." She hissed to the Padawan and turned her full attention to the approaching beasts. The force would tell her when to unleash her power, the force would show her the way.

"Come and get me, and you shall know fear!" She yelled at the beasts and her hands raised, each of them spreading the index and middle finger up and slowly concentrating the summoned force.

And you shall know my power.

She thought ot herself and showed the beasts a wild grin.

The Jedi smiled at Urijah and it was a smile as if he talked to a child. “Of course I have felt it, how could any Jedi miss it. Yet it is not a trembling from the present. It´s the future revealing itself in a warning.” He nodded and turned to the new arrival. “Indeed any help is welcome, also I wonder why you came down here to the tunnels, when up there in the administrator´s office was a so much more comfortable place to sign up? If you want to help, you should learn to take any comfort you can get. It won´t be a lot anyway, you know?” Looking from one of his two visitors to the other he shook his head, laughing to himself and then turned to the recently died Selonian.

    Vjun, Hideout

The mining vehicle began to move and they were shaken a bit. The children cried and their men of the militia tried to comfort them, all but the General. Torben stayed next to Callista and watched them. “I guess the Vjun resistance will not last much longer than we need to get the children out, anyway.” He smiled at himself. “After all, we do this to avoid the war, not to become part of it.”

They drove for ten to fifteen minutes until they arrived in the caves used by the smugglers.

Myrah saw the huge, bulky mining vehicle come through a giant hole they had burned into the rock. The crew that had prepared the three outdated freighters in the hangar was yelling out in joy, celebrating their arrival. Morne stepped next to Myrah and lay his hand on her shoulder. “There they are, you take them and you go last. General Torben will be with you, he is the guy organizing all of this.”

    Sewers

The Seer blocked, dodged and then she was suddenly not there anymore. In a perfectly timed move she had summoned the force and catapulted herself into the air, just at the moment Erian released the force wave, she had jumped up. The wave hit the wall which had been behind her a second ago and the concrete cracked from the impact, sending debris into the dark of the sewers.

It had been to fast, to perfectly timed. Only someone who had already known what was going to happen could have dodged the attack. But Erian had probably not enough time to realize that, as a burning sensation send waves of pain through his leg, as he felt it give away. At landing with a single, perfectly placed stroke Saya had cut through his muscle. She could easily had severed his leg or any other part of his body, but she had simply cut through the muscle, weakening him, making it more unlikely than ever before he could win the duel anymore with only one working leg, but leaving him alive.

She stepped back and allowed Erian to turn, instead of simply killing him with a second stroke.

“Enough killing, certainly there is not time left for us to do enough talking.” She said with a calm smile. “And you should not speak to me as if you know what I did or did not do. Because you don´t. Do you? You never saw it with your eyes, never been to the scene of death. You have seen no proof, not even a conclusive reconstruction of the events on Tython, have you?” She began to circle him. “Tell me Jedi, what does your beloved Jedi-code say about ignorance? Hm?” Her blade raised, pointing at him. “Isn´t it revealing that is a line you did not quote yet?”

    Erian Serenni

    Vjun, Sewers

In the second it took him to blink his surprise when she disappeared before him and the walls of the sewer cracked from the impact of his attack, he came to realize that perhaps he should not have come alone after all. The burning sensation in his leg confirmed that conclusion and the younger Jedi gritted his teeth as his leg gave out from under him. He refused to give the Seer the satisfaction of him crying out his pain.

Slowly his pride had him turn on his good leg, wondering why he had not been slain. He was weakened, vulnerable. She could easily kill him and then get away. He stared at her in confusion as she spoke to him, his emerald blade held up before him like a shield that was as useless as his now injured leg. It gave him assurance that he at least would not die easily.

His anger wanted to rise up at being told he was ignorant of the truth, but reason and the quiet whisper of the Force quelled the fire inside him. He was ignorant of the facts. He had taken the word of his superiors and the files of the case as truth and fact without looking into it himself. Saya was behaving more like the Jedi Master she claimed to be than some murderous traitor the Protectorate accused her of being.

Erian scowled from where he was kneeling, exhausted and hurting both physically and spiritually. He had not wanted to question the accepted truth simply because he would have questioned himself again. Like he had done when he had watched his padawan kill without a second thought and glee and which led to him slaying her. Had he erred with his apprentice like he was erring now? Or was this Jedi simply playing mind tricks with him, to make him doubt everything and unbalance him?

Yet Saya had laid bare the blindness and ignorance of everything he fought for and believed in by simply twisting his words back at him and pointing out that he had left out one key piece of wisdom of the Jedi Code. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. You are ignorant of the truth, Erian. She is right, you accept your tasks without question, kill without remorse, and follow the will of what? The Force or the Darkside? Your apprentice died because you followed the will of the Protectorate rather than try and change her path.

He lowered his lightsaber as he replied warily, "I... do what I must to protect the galaxy." There was no conviction in his voice as he spoke. After a moment Erian lowered his gaze from her, finding it difficult to meet her eyes as a quiet, shamed whisper came from him. "Where have I gone wrong to ignore such wisdom?"

    IC: Thom Stett
    Coronet City, Corellia

It was done and Thom could not dismiss the disquiet feeling that filled the room in Tane's wake. It was as if this entire sector of Coronet had taken a collective breath and stopped in their tracks to scrutinize him. Of course, they would do that no matter what he did, but this felt different somehow. This, by far, had been the most controversial decision he had made during his term. Now came the hard part of trying to make them understand that it was the only decision he could make. It was the only way to achieve true equality.

The awkward silence continued to bear down on him as he started to pace the office. Several passes later, he realized, with some concern, that this particular silence sliced much deeper than he initially thought. It wasn't all in his mind. His security detail had become unnaturally quiet and his secretary had failed to raise the chime, alerting him of any further meetings. Even his bodyguard, Calem Hale, had slipped from the room unnoticed. That was odd; very odd.

Thom stopped his pacing and turned to look around, his brow furrowed with a wariness that was all too common these days. That's when he saw the shadows moving discreetly outside his office door. There were three of them and they certainly weren't his security detail. If so, they would have alerted him by now.

Instincts took over as he reached a hand into his pocket, keying a remote with his thumb that would alert every security officer in the building. He continued to depress the device over and over again as he backpedaled to his desk and pulled open the bottom drawer. Inside, buried beneath heaps of flimsies and other documents, was a small hold-out blaster. Having been a military man at one point in his career, he was not afraid and would not hesitate to use it.

Taking the familiar grip into his hand, he moved to the perimeter of the room and watched the office door closely and waited.

    The Battle of Nesron

Arek Longstar saw the Sith drop back and then drop back again, while from both sides the republic troops seemed to hit them hard. On this small part of the field the battle looked as if the Jedi were winning. But they were not. The first line had been overrun and it had cost them many of their greatest warriors.

Yet for such thoughts Arek hardly any opportunity, as he approached the elder Sith on the field. A grin was on vibre´s face as he wiped the staff away with a single aggressive gesture and leaned forward, bringing his lightsaber up before his body. Then, in the last moment he leaped forward and met his enemy. The Sith looked like he was in his fifites, maybe even older, but he moved like a young man, powerful and energized as their blades met. Patiently the Sith blocked strike after strike, turning, changing forms and methods, while not allowing a single strike to unbalance him.
“Is that all, Master Jedi?” He mocked Arek and turned, just as a young Jedi of the Atlas group was about to stab him from behind. He beheaded him as if nothing had happened and then returned his full attention back to Arek.

Farther behind the Slayer began to approach the Jedi´s line. Louesa next to him had summoned half a dozen of her best warriors around her. Imbued, most of them. But even artificial force users had the force as their ally and the Imbued were often veterans of many battles, before receiving the honor to get the force bestowed on them. “For THE ONE!” Louesa yelled and charged towards the tall Sith, her group following her, wielding lightsaber staffs and sabers. She expected Terryn to follow her, and probably he did. But while the slayer had not even managed to reach their lines yet, Terryn saw their left sides defense vaporate under the onslaught of a red-faced Sith warrior. To the left a grenade ripped another hole into their defense. They were only here to buy time, their survival had never been part of the plan . . . but they were falling to quickly.

The Slayer raised his blade awaiting his enemies, as to Terryn´s left the Redface broke through, cutting down two Chiss and five regular soldiers, making his way into the center of the formation.

    Corellia, Office

The moment he turned, with his hold out prepared, the doors suddenly exploded and the heavy metal doors were hurled into the room. They crashed into his huge desk, destroying the priceless antiquity. And then the Prime Minister could see why no bodyguards were present. They lay on the floor before his door, dead. Even Cale. And slowly, with humming red blades, three armored men entered the office, looking to all sides. As their leader spotted him, he raised the lightsaber and his heavy breath hissed through the mask of his armor.

“Prime Minister, this can be quick and easy for you or we can do it . . . our way.” He hissed and slowly came closer.

Zara saw the three from above, the strange inverted feel of their presence hinting at their Imbued background.
