The **Official** Modesto Charity Premiere Thread

I'm surprised none of you 501st folks have done serious bragging about being able to attend the screening tomorrow night here. Come on, guys, brag to the Fresno folks!

I would figure, at the very least, you guys would be psyched about meeting the softest of the Jedi scum, Puke Jobwalker, aka Mark Hamill. It will probably be an honor to see Puke, and shake hands with the Jedi who exposed Vader as the sellout he is.

Any thoughts, guys? Nothing has changed, right....you guys are still going?

 

We, at the 501st remain ever so humble.... So as not to brag!!

Meeting Mark could be fun, but really the treat is interacting with the fans. Seeing the movie a week early would be very nice too!!

We are still slated to go, all of us should be up there by 4:00pm.

My only other concern is getting plenty of good pics. Obviously were not allowed to do that while in armor, but supposedly someone will be taking pics on our behalf.... Im not sure how thats gonna work....

 

Yes, we of the 501st do not brag or gloat.

I know this event looks pretty big to the new people that have just recently joined, and it is, but I have done a few other events with the 501st that I think still top this one. But then again this hasn't happened yet, so who knows.

 

It's not really that I'm stoked for it or anything (Since I'm not in the 501st), I just figured you guys would be more talkative about it.

You guys aren't braggarts, and you consider yourselves servants of the Empire? Lord Palpatine is very, very disappointed. Servants of the Empire are supposed to brag of their dominance over lesser forms.

 

Well actually most all of the events that we do with LFL and it's associates are usually a hush-hush kind of thing until after the event. At times we even have to sign a none-disclosure form, so we can't even talk about it afterwards.

This event is not the case as it is a very public event and we want as many people to come out to the support the charity and such.

But if you want some bragging then I will go wake up the Elvis Trooper and let him have at it. As that guy does nothing but talk about himself and who he knows and who he hangs out with at events.

I'm mostly just joking with you guys. I just know I'd be happy as all Hell if I was going to this charity premiere. Hell, you're getting to see the movie 6 days before the general public!

Regardless, enjoy guys, even though you're all in Modesto already, no doubt.

Man what a great time! This probably ranks up there in about my number 3 spot for 501st event.

And yes, feel free to gloat, ummmm....I mean tell everyone here your take on all the fun that was had.

Also, yes we saw the movie, and it rocks! In fact they basically gave us our own theater to watch it in.

It's good to see Mark was interacting with the masses, and signing, too. Too many times at events do stars act "holier than thou", and keep themselves away. Either that, or they are kept away by the event coordinator.

Man, were there Secret Services dudes there? Those dudes look like they were there to protect Mark from an assassin.

 

I actually give a lot of props to Mark for the kind of guy he is. And he earned whatever it is that they paid him for coming that night, as he signed for everyone that was able to get close to him or wait for him to come their way.

 

Yep, Mark was all over the place, in fact he was a little OVER interactive causing the whole theater to wait an extra hour to see the movie!! GEEEZ!!!
