    Hardly the player's fault if their is a really good goalkeeper.
    Isn't missing the penalty punishment enough?

    I'm in favour of a sin-bin type of thing for football, a payer isn't off for the whole game, but if players know some of them can be sent off the pitch for 15minutes of the game and how it will affect the team they may think twice about behaving the way they do.

    Ah, the joys of posting out of context!

    This was in regards to a defender being sent off for committing a "Denying an obvious scoring opportunity". If the penalty is scored, then the opportunity isn't denied cos they score.

    So book the player for the foul, and only send him off if the subsequent penalty is missed
