We are working on the forum right now. It's currently a private board and we will open it up to everyone once it's completed (complete meaning all the "official" stuff has been posted and proofread.) We've created brand-new incarnations of the RPF Community Center, RPG Discussion Thread, and RPG Introduction Service, plus a few more threads.

 

That is...good news. I await it's arrival.

And uh, I am sorry for my absence...will not happen again.

 

Once it's ready, this forum will be undergoing a bit of change, too, as we'll get rid of most of the sticky threads and move some of the other threads, like the Adoptions.

 

I think that this forum could use a new banner as well.

Can we please have a link directly into the Non SW RPF from here and vice versa? Just realised I'm getting sick of bouncing back and forth into Role-Playing just to get into one or other of the forums.

Even though I don't have the problem that Sith does, I still agree with what he said. And also a link to the Resource once it's up.

I'm more of a Cricket ball?once I'm hit I stay hit.

Good news on the resource forum. I've been keeping a track of this, and there's not much else for me to say.

 

I don't have direct control over the links in the header. I'm terrible at explaining how it works (mostly since I don't understand it myself) but few forums have header links that are actually manager-controlled. They aren't stored in the on-site admin control panel with the other stuff because there's a character limit that would only allow one or two links. We have to get help from the FF or JC tech admin to change header links.

So yes, links will be changed/added, but not now. I am going to wait until the Resource forum, with all the informational threads, is open so we only have to change things once.

Out of curiosity, how long will the scrolling text stay on for?

 

Why, is it annoying?

 

I have a JavaScript book, that, while it does teach you how to put scrolling messages in the status line at the bottom of your screen, it does warn that they are cordially hated by Bet users. Whether this is the same for marquee scrollers like the one we have here I don't know, but the idea of it being annoying shouldn't be dismissed.

So... when does the Resource Forum open up? I know it's being kept under wraps at the moment, as some topics seem to have been absorbed into it, but when do we get to see?
