Reference The RPF Opinion Poll: What Do You Want To Do This Summer?

I know summer's already started (or winter, for the Aussies), but hey, better late than never, right?

Summer Challenge: A series of mini-challenges on topics ranging from character design, game design, RPing philosophy and others. Every week brings a new challenge, and the person who wins the most challenges at the end of summer is crowned the Summer Challenge Champion. Imperial_Hammer started this last year and it was a lot of fun, though we might change the format a bit so it's less full-on - say 10 days for each challenge, 4 days for judging, so new challenges are announced on a fortnightly basis rather than weekly.

Scavenger Hunt: Basically how this works is you'll be given a list of Things To Find in the RPF (this can be perhaps pictures/smileys/passages, and can be things that are already in posts or things we edit in specifically for this challenge), and clues thereof, and the person who finds the most things by the end of summer is crowned the Scavenger Hunt Champion.

Inter-Forum Game/Competition: Something along the lines of the NSW Fanfic Competition we ran earlier this year. It might be a bit late to organise something like this, but we can work something out, I'm sure. [EDIT: Oh, and if you vote for this one, please let us know what sort of competition and with what forum, too.]

RPF Trivia Contest: If you've ever played Trivial Pursuit, that's basically what this would be. You'll be asked questions, the first person to answer each question correctly gets points, and the person with most points at the end of summer is crowned the Trivia Contest Champion.

I'd like to combine two options. I think a scavenger hunt is a fun idea, but I also think that you should invite the SWC and the EUC to play as well.

Summer Challenge II - The Reckoning

 

SCII:TR sounds good. I would actually defend my title with everything I GOT! Except a lot of time. Well, would love to see Summer Challenge II anyway.

 

I really want to write some fiction. But I don't want to have to be partnered with anyone.

I have characters, setting, but no plot.

 

Hm, there's an idea actually, Sithy. Right now it looks like the Summer Challenge is winning out, but we could include a vignette challenge in there somewhere too.
