Welcome RPers and those who love Star Wars. This is a game for everyone to play in. It is a playground for all those who want to take a first step into the world of Star Wars Post-by-Post RPing and those who want to dwell into the depth of their favourite characters alike. A long time ago, in a galaxy that no longer is what its used to be . . . [/link]

[image=http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/b/bd/Jedi_Temple_sunset.jpg]

Many of those who awoke had never seen that planet. Some did not recognize it, some were confused by its many changes. For some this could not be Coruscant, for Coruscant had been nothing but a legend. But it was. And they were there. They did not know what had brought them to the planet. Nor did they know why they had been transported there. They had no memory of arriving. Or leaving.

And there was nobody there to ask. Because for strange reasons, nobody seemed to remain on Coruscant, except them. The planet was empty. Abandoned, or probably never populated in the first place. Maybe it was not even Coruscant at all. Although it could hardly be imitated in it´s complex city-structure, how could billions be brought away.

The confusion would become worse when many of them realized they were not even in their time. It was a Coruscant of another age. But before the riddle could be solved, they realized painfully that they were not alone . . .

The characters of Silent Cities of Coruscant are from all times and ages. They are transported to the timeless Coruscant by mysterious means and wake up somewhere inside the giant structures of the planet alone and only with those things with them, they had on their body the moment they vanished in their own time. To play a character in this, only two prerequisites is needed. You need to play 1. a canon-character who is 2. not yet taken. You can take the same canon character as another player though, if he is from another age. So the young Anakin Skywalker might meet the late Darth Vader. HK-47 might meet his reconstructed self of later centuries. And so on . . . only the same character of the same time is not allowed.

How do you join?

Simple thing. There is a list and you simply add your name to it, the character you play and the time/era he is from. We will never stop to accept players, so feel free to add even more than one, if you like to. For the beginning we will limit every player to three characters, though. Only Star Wars characters are allowed. If you want to add a link to your character-entry from wookieepedia, you are encouraged to do so.

There will always be new characters arriving on Coruscant. Therefore the game will always be open.

You can see the list with my character below. To add, only hit the "quote" button and add your own.

For those who have a longer history on this board, there is another way to join. You may resurrect an old character of yours, as long as he does fit into the nature of this game. Then you´ll need a CS, though. Therefore, you might resurrect a role you are known for around the boards. This will only be possible with characters you played in games over 300 posts long - if you submit a character sheet that will be approved and only one such old character of yours. I reserve the right to not approve such characters, or only approve them as second characters, if I fear they´ll unbalance the game.

How do you play?

This game will have two purposes in one.

First, you might experience and explore your character to any depth you like. This game will largely be done between players with the GM only throwing in some events and riddles and hints to the players who will most likely have enough to do by themselves. It is a game of exploration and investigation, surely. But more it i

If you want to join, look what characters are still available, add them to the list and simply write yourself awakening wherever you want to as long as it is on Coruscant. Your character will have no memory or recollection how he got there and he might have been anywhere before he wakes up.

You should consider that awakening somewhere too creative, but far away from everybody else could make interaction a little hard.
Post as often as you see fit and do not let the speed of others pressure you. Also if you have problems finding the right group to join, please PM me and the GM will move you towards one through mysterious ways. ;)

Anakin Skywalker
Apartment above Coruscant

The sun woke him up. A new day. And a cool one. Anakin smiled. "At least the heat-wave is over." He smiled and sat up, opening his eyes carefully. As he usually did. Expecting the bright twin-suns of Tatooine to blind him immediately. They didn´t. And as he felt his hand looking for his glass of water next to his bed, he missed that one, too. Not the glass. but the end of the bed, actually. As he was lying a much larger one. A breath and the smell of metal and oil filled his nose.

This is not Tatooine.

Shocked he looked around, saw a door. An enormous bed, which he was in. A deactivated console nearby. And outside the window an enormous city. Much, much larger than Mos Espa. Larger than Mos Eisley even. It was the hugest thing he had ever seen in his life. Had Watto sold him? Where was he?

"Mom! MOM!" He yelled out and leaped out of the bed. The floor was cold. It was of metal. And as he neared the door it opened automatically. Only Hutts had such doors. But he did not think this was a Hutt place. "Hello!?" He yelled into the empty apartment and slowly stepped out of the bedroom. "Is anybody here?" He asked, now not yelling anymore.

Anakin had this bad feeling deep in his heart there actually was nobody there. And with wide eyes he looked around. "Where is everybody?" He asked. And felt tears come to his eyes. "What did you do to my Mommy!"

Modigal Glave
Streets

He knew the planet. He knew the place. Downtown. Nightclub District. Coruscant. Or as he preferred to call it . . . The Imperial Center. But there were no signs of the Empire. No insignia could be found on the walls and somehow it all looked different. Even though it also looked the same. And the Imperial Palace, it was not there. And that was when Modigal Glave realized something was not right around here. Well, the lack of any other living creature could have been considered a hint, too.

He sighed as he stood up. Still wearing a stormtrooper armour, but no helmet. His rifle was not there. But he still had his sidearm. So he drew it, checked it and then looked around in the street. Empty. Nobody was there. What had happened? And why wasn´t he in the Ishanna System? A weapon test? The force, maybe? he had heard the Jedi of old were capable of the most devilish wizardry. Had they found a way to kill everyone on this planet? Everyone?

Glave sighed, closed his eyes and then smirked. Protocol. If a soldier did not know what to do, he would need to follow protocol. He needed to activate the emergency beacon and try to contact Imperials anywhere else. He opened his eyes again and looked around. He was not familiar with the planet. He had visited it only a couple of times. But the ISB bureau seemed to be not too far away. A day walking, probably. If he found no working vessel, actually.

Glave began walking through the streets, his pistol in the iron grip of his right hand and an aim before his eyes. Inside he hoped he would meet one of these filthy Jedi or rebels who had done this. He would teach them a lesson of fooling around with the Galactic Empire!

Jaina Solo
Streets

It was the sound of dripping water that woke her. Slowly Jaina opened her eyes and stared upward along the lean facade of one of many tall buildings that surrounded her. A frown appeared on her forehead when she sat up and took a quick look around.

She didn't recognize this part of Coruscant. That fact didn't bother as much as the silence, though. She could hear absolutely nothing of the city she was so used to.

Jaina rubbed her eyes and shook her head. Last thing she remembered was laying down to take a nap. But waking up in the middle of nowhere -- by herself as it seemed -- hadn't been in her plans for the day.

"What in the name of the Force is going on?" She wondered aloud.

Yusanis
High Rise apartment

These were not the foretold silver spires of the afterlife, nor were they the majestic towers of Echan. It had only been recently that he had Challenged the betrayer Revan to a duel, a duel which he was to partake in the next day. So when Yusanis had a woken and found himself neither in his home, nor in any place he knew, he suspected some foul play on the behalf of the Sith. A possibility that still stood, for alive as he was, he was nowhere near his home, thus he would be unable to make the duel. A foul plot, Revan would win be default, and Yusanis dishonored, no this could not stand.

Standing upon the balcony of the apartment the Echani's silver eyes gazed upon the cityscape before him. It was like Coruscant, the City that never weeps, but it was also not like Coruscant. No, as a Senator Yusanis had been to Coruscant many times, he even held a place at 500 Republica. But this was not 500 Republica, this was not his apartment, these were not the spires he had come to know, this could not be Coruscant. Where were the air speeders? The foot traffic on the walkways? Where were the city's people?

Gripping his trusted brand in hand Yusanis swore unto himself that he would find the cause of this devilry, Revan or otherwise. Turning the former General made his way from the apartment. One could not find answers by doing nothing. Stepping out into the abandoned hallways of the apartment structure Yusanis chose the path to the right and set out to find his answers.

IC: Galen Marek
Location: Starship Landing Pad

Galen Marek, the man who used to be the secret apprentice of Darth Vader, stood atop building in what must have been an empty city. It couldn't have been Coruscant; he knew that city to be something else. Coruscant was decidedly alive; speeders flew in all directions; voices could be heard everywhere; life flourished on Coruscant. That city was not this city. This city was dead. Very dead.

Something was wrong. This place had every defining feature of Coruscant that wasn't life. The soaring skyline, the phallic structures, the industrial smell, it had everything. He tried to focus, to understand the situation. Not a moment ago he was charging headlong into battle with Darth Sidious, the emperor of the galaxy. It was a foolish thing to do... but it needed doing. His friends had been in danger, and in stead of taking a final stroke of revenge upon the master who had betrayed him, he decided he would do battle with the most powerful Sith Lord the galaxy had ever seen.

Truthfully, and in spite of the fact that his friends likely still needed him, he was relieved. A battle with Palpatine meant almost certain death and he was glad that he would live to fight another day.

When he was done surveying his surroundings he concluded that this was Coruscant, but the one he knew. Something had happened here, and in order to find out what it was, he meditated. After less than a minute of doing so, he detected something he knew to be impossible. It was the presence of his former master. The presence of Darth Vader. But something was wrong... he couldn't put his finger on it but he knew it was him regardless. He picked up his lightsaber and began his trek in the direction he felt was the right one. He would confront his former master once again.

IC: Han Solo
Streets, Coruscant

A dull ache, starting at the nape of his neck and traveling down the length of his spine, is what ultimately roused Han Solo from a restless slumber. With a tired groan, he forced his eyes to open, only to be greeted with the skewed visage of an abandoned street. Maybe he was still dreaming. Closing his eyes, he tried it again, but it hardly made a difference. He was met with the exact same scene as the first time and he unleashed another pathetic grumble from the back of his throat.

Well, that would explain why his back hurt. The only problem was, he hadn't remembered falling asleep - much less out in the middle of the street. Unless this was a result of another bad night of binging, which seemed to be the norm more often than Han would like to admit over the past six months, but he had resigned from that way of life and since put it behind him. Chewie's memorial on Kashyyyk several days earlier had been the catalyst for such a change.

Chewie's memorial...

Slowly, the painful memories came flooding back, starting with that fateful day on Sernpidal and continuing all the way up to the current events that had transpired on the Jubilee Wheel and beyond. He had been with Roa on a personal quest to hunt down a traitor, Reck Desh, who had thrown his allegiances in with the Peace Brigade and their employers, the Yuuzhan Vong. Han had been successful in confronting Desh and putting the man in his place, but not without a cost - everything seemed to come at a cost these days. Roa, and his friend Fasgo, had been sucked up in some sort of Yuuzhan Vong 'dread weapon', along with thousands of other refugees that were aboard the Jubilee Wheel at the time. Han and his new Ryn partner, Droma, had somehow managed to escape and now Han was determined to rescue Roa and enact vengeance on the Vong for both what they did to Roa and for bringing a moon down on Chewie.

With that in mind, Han gingerly straightened his back and pushed himself up into a sitting position. If all that were true, then he couldn't have fallen asleep. He had been with Droma, prepping the Falcon for the long journey ahead. But where was Droma now and how had he ended up out here on the street?

Glancing around, Han took notice of the towering spirals of the buildings rising above him towards the sky - a sky, he quickly realized, that was devoid of any kind of speeder craft. A frown creased his forehead and he rose fully to his feet, a sinking feeling starting to form in the pit of his stomach. Slowly, the pieces of the puzzle started to fall into place: Droma - and everyone else, for that matter - was gone and he was alone, the skylanes were dead and he had been thrown out into the streets, presumably far away from the landing platform he had been working on earlier. Only a Vong attack made any kind of sense.

And was he the lone survivor? Or maybe...he had already died and this was hell.

A sharp intake of breath brought him back to his senses and somehow did the trick to ease his mind about the latter. He was alive, but what about the former? He couldn't be the only one, could he? There had to be someone else out there, right? A shaky hand came up and traced a path over his face, fingers brushing against the new growth of beard adorning his chin. He needed to find answers; he needed to know what happened. And the thing that struck him as odd about the whole thing? There was no damage - nothing at all.

Setting his jaw, he pressed his lips into a thin line and checked the charge on the DL-44 strapped to his thigh. When he was satisfied that everything was in working order, he started down the empty street at a brisk pace. He would try Eastport first. The Falcon should still be docked there and with any luck, Droma, Leia or someone else would still be alive to provide some answers.

Ben!

He opened his eyes and the words of his friend and mentor had burned themselves into his mind. Dagobah. Yoda. He had to find Master Yoda!

First he had to survive the ice-desert of Hoth. But once he had . . .

Luke blinked with his eyes and realized he was not freezing. He was not on Hoth. Somehow he knew he was not on Hoth. This was somewhere else. Had he been brought here to . . . ?

No, he had not been brought to a hospital. He was lying on a floor somewhere inside a building. And it was totally silent. A spacestation? Slowly he raised up and checked his gear. He was still in full snow gear. And it became terribly hot, now. His rations for a few days, his DL-18, his lightsaber. It was all there. He ripped the jacket open and looked around. Where was he? How did he got there?

A window was nearby and he slowly stepped to it. His jaw dropped in awe, as he saw the giant structures before his eyes. Coruscant. He was in the Imperial Center? Was he a prisoner? His hand grabbed for his gun, but he immediately realized, that could not be. He was weaponed. And he was alone. What kind of prison would that be? Maybe a trick. A trap to lure him to the Dark Side, as Ben Kenobi had warned him. It seemed to make little sense. Something was odd. And then it hit him. He turned to the window again. He had never been to Coruscant. But he had seen holos about it. He had read about it. He had even dreamt about it. And one thing he knew. It was a very crowded place. Where was everybody? The city looked empty. Totally empty.

Shaking his head he calmed himself. Hopefully Han and Leia were alright. And Chewie and the Droids and the whole Rebellion. He had to get somewhere where he could find out, what had happened.

He went to the elevator and was relieved to see, it still worked. That was the moment he heard steps, nearby. Slowly turning his head, prepared for everything.

*kaarrr-couhhhhhh*

Vader suddenly became aware of his surroundings.
Or rather, he became aware that he hadn't been aware of them before.
Or maybe, even, that they were different.
He already knew he was not on The Executor. There was no scurrying lesser beings with their fearful force signatures. There was very little life here. He could sense beings, some further, some closer. But they were currently insignificant to his purposes, although he kept their presence at the back of his mind for further use.
Firstly...
He opened his eyes.

*karrr-couhhhhhh*

He was standing in a large hall, which he recognized instantly. The anti-chamber of The Emperor's court. He didn't need to turn his head, he already knew that the huge guilt double doors nearest to him would take him out into the (too) extravagant throne room of his Master. And the smaller doors at the far end would lead down the endless front steps and into one of the 'rich' districts, where overpaid and under worked officials resided. Fools.
But they weren't here...no-one was here.

The place was devoid of life, the guilt walls of the place bare, only the golden leaf betraying the wealth of the beings who once resided inside.
This was not 'his' Couracant. Possibly not even his universe. A different planet, drawn up as Couracant.
It suited his hypothesis for now. But to prove the theory, he would need to get outside...

Making sure his lightsaber was present on his belt, he strode towards the smaller set of double doors, and they swung forward as he approached and outstretched his right hand, pushing them with a mere thought. His boots made a satisfying thunk as he strode down the paved steps, stopping and gazing around him, trying to account for the sudden emptiness of what had been, when he had last visited, a city bustling with life.

*karrr-couhhhhhh*

One of the flickers in his mind surges suddenly. And suddenly the Darth Lord of the Sith realizes that this runs far deeper than he first thought.
Starkiller.
Impossible.

ooc: LordT gave me a little hint at the era . . . I included it in the post.

Kreia
Jedi Temple, Council Chamber

Awakening was a disturbing experience, especially when one had not slept for several decades. Kreia pulled her hood deeper into her face and looked around. The chair she was sitting in was familiar. The room actually was. But it was not where she should have been. not where she was meant to be.

She smirked. Who knew where he was meant to be, truly? Only glimpses at the destiny of one could guide the path. Yet hers had brought her here. And she felt the strange absence of fate. The absence of any past and future, actually. Another disturbing thing about awakening here. Here in the Council Chamber of the Jedi Council. A room that was empty and it should have been empty. For the Sith had killed them all. Malak, Nihilus, Sion. She herself had helped them. The Jedi were extinct. All but a chosen few. All but her pupil. The last of the Jedi. The Exile. His presence was gone, too. The bond between them, was nowhere to be felt. The anchor of her soul had vanished, but her power had not suffered from it. He had restored her. And soon, she would thank him, by enlightening him. By giving him his purpose. His path to follow. Or so she had foreseen. Reality felt different. The present felt different.

Kreia pulled her hood over her head and closed her eyes. Her blind eyes. They were here. Force users. Strong ones. Weak ones. And weak ones who would one day be strong ones. Also others. But to few. Far to few. This was not Coruscant. It only resembled the place. in the force, this was a dead place. A ghosttown. Filled with chosen people. It was surely a place where one had a destiny to fulfill. Kreia knew it, even more so because she could not feel her own destiny.

Slowly she raised and stepped towards the window. A gesture. A habit. Her eyes were dead and could not perceive anymore than if she sat on her chair. Yet, she followed her old habits, still. The weight of her lightsaber at her belt and the loose Jedi robes she was wearing. Coruscant. Forsaken and abandoned.

This was not her time. It was not the Jedi Council she knew that had created this place.

And it was not from the past.

This was the future.

Rooftops of Coruscant

Something was wrong...

Well, to be fair, at least a half a dozen things were wrong. The first, and most immediately frustrating problem was that distance between the building he had just landed on top of and the next one he'd need to reach before reaching his goal was too far for him to leap. He would either need to find a speeder or a walkway. The former seemed unrealistic considering he had found nothing on his way to get this far and latter was far from preferable.

That wasn't nearly the end of it though. While he still sensed his master's presence in the general direction of the imperial palace; he also sensed another. One that was unmistakably also Darth Vader.

But at the same time... it wasn't. The darkness that had always surrounded Vader did not surround this one. But the ripples that his presence created in the force were virtually identical to Vader's. What could this mean?

And then there were the others. Four more. Each showed traces of Vader's presence within them, but not enough to be him. Clones? Offspring? Descendants? Siblings? He couldn't be sure, but he would not allow any of them to distract him. For now, he would go to the palace and face his master. If anyone had answers about what was going on, it would be him. Vader would either give Galen the answers he needed, or he would beat them out of him and perhaps finally kill him this time.

Yusanis
Apartment Complex,
Corridor

It was a disturbing sensation, traversing the halls of a Coruscanti apartment with nobody around. Even though he had seen it from the balcony he had expected someone, some thing, a service droid at least. Yet there was nothing. No droids, no people, no life of any kind or type, Yusanis was alone. His thoughts shifted to his daughters, to Brianna. Of her mother, Arren Kae. He'd lost Kae at Malachor V, her body had never been found, and it had broken him.

He wondered how Brianna and her sisters were doing, what they would do if he never returned, how would they cope? No, he thought shaking his head. I will not cloud my mind with these doubts. I will return, I will succeed. A warrior who doubts themselves has already lost. I will not fall to Revan and I will not fall to my doubts. I will succeed, I will make him pay for the betrayal. I will make things right.

Yusanis came to a corner, and seeing no reason to not continue the path he turned it, and there, at the end of the hall, amidst a lift, was the first individual he'd seen since he'd awoken. He was clothed in something more suited for the arctic then the temperate areas of Coruscant. His warrior instincts rising the Echani General eyed the man's waist. He was armed. A blaster of some sort, and a lightsaber. A Jedi? he asked himself, Or a Sith agent of Revan?

Yusanis took no chance, he held his brand at the ready. "You, lightsaber wielder. Tell me, what part in this have you to play? Be you a pawn of Darth Revan?" The mans cold silver eyes locked onto those of the man before him, "And do not think to lie, Yusanis of Echan does not take kindly to lies and betrayal!"

Luke Skywalker
Corridor, Coruscant

Luke drew his blaster, as the man came around the corner. He was wearing a strange armor and wielded a blade. A sword. Somehow that made him lock like a man from another age.

"You, lightsaber wielder. Tell me, what part in this have you to play? Be you a pawn of Darth Revan?" Luke supressed a sigh. The man had no more knowledge than himself, it seemed. Luke shook his head. "I am . . ." He stopped. This was the Imperial Center. Not the right place to tell anybody he was a rebel. Revan? Who was Darth Revan? "And do not think to lie, Yusanis of Echan does not take kindly to lies and betrayal!"

Luke raised his blaster, so it did not threaten the man. "My name is Luke and I have nothing to do with . . . whatever happened here. I just woke up. And have no idea how I got here or for what reason. Excuse me if I ask, but Darth Who? Did you mean Darth Vader? Is he behind this?" Vader. Could he do something like this? Luke had not believed that the force could do anything like it. Not even the power of the Dark Side could bend time and space, or could it?

He wondered if the man was an imperial. He had something cold and military about him. But he surely did not look like a member of the Empire. "And that is the lightsaber of my father." Luke said, almost excusing for the weapon at his belt. The man had mentioned it though, as if it was not something forbidden or dangerous to carry such a weapon.

Location: Galactic City, Coruscant

It was the chill that roused her, the blanket of frigidity that settled over her exposed limbs.

?Brrr.? She chattered, opening eyes and noticing that she was on her side and facing the back of the wooden fruit stall they had been hiding behind, from the Terminators, as those paramilitaries had called the droid.

?Sparrow?? She whispered, calling the female guerilla she had been partnered with for the infiltration mission. She tensed at the lack of response, wondering if the killer droids had found them. Fruit stalls were not the top ten hiding places, she would have thought.

There was still no answer, and Ewlla reached out to the wood to help pull herself into a sitting position, and got her first surprise, that of her fingertips scraping down granite.

?What the hell?? At that, she got a grip on the carved stone and pulled herself up properly, line-of-fire be damned!

A city skyline worthy of her home planet?s Coronet City lay before her, her own vantage point quickly revealed to be a balcony quite high up one of the stratoscrapers.

She stared, the wind chill?s unrelenting penetration of her un-seasonal sleeveless red slit-dress forgotten as her jaw dropped.
?Okay, this has to rate as a nine-point-oh on the weird stang-o-meter.?

Strangely though, there was a sense of déjà vu about the sight, like she had seen it before; the way the sun and clouds cast a golden and tan glow across the myriad buildings and phalli-

?Heck, this is Coruscant!? She exclaimed with a start, her voice bouncing off nearby buildings as she recognised the more suggestive architecture from HNN?s ?Dateline Coruscant? news programme. ?What in the Original Light am I doing on Coruscant?? She paused to reflect. ?And why am I talking to myself??

Ewlla looked down and around: on the floor of the balcony were a small far of heavy-duty sun-screen; some kind of fruit with a thick mottled green-yellow skin (muja fruit?); a DC-15 plasma
