New mini-series coming out in 2007 with a lot of the original cast.

Takes place about 20 years after the one season series ended. I assuming something happens after The Leader takes Elizabeth (the half-breed starchild) in the final episode as an exchange for peace between their kind and the humans.

    Anyone else have any news?

That fell apart years ago. There will be no further V resurrection on the horizon.

I totally agree with malkie. It was great sci-fi, there's no need to go back and leech off it. Too much copy/cat, remake garbage out there as it is. Try something original.

It should also be noted that the original "Second Generation" concept was going to be written by the guy that wrote the Original mini-series. It would actually replace both "The Last Battle" mini-series and the TV series, removing them from continuity and being the true next phase of the V story.

i.e. it would continue after 20 years of Visitor occupation, with a response from the message sent out by Julie and the others at the end of the first mini-series.

However, as has been clearly stated above, it fell through as what they really wanted was a "re-imagining" of the original rather than a continuation.

The reason I brought this up is because imdb indicates that this is currently in production and due to come out in 2007.

IMDB has been saying this project is coming out for years - they just keep changing the dates. The latest incarnation was supposed to have none of the original cast, with the exception of a quick glimpse of Marc Singer. The movie was supposed to be set 20 years after the V: The Series season finale and all or most of the heroes from that era are supposed to have perished.
