FF:NZ wadda you collect?

Hey folks,

It appears to me (from reading these forums) that not to many of you collect vintage or at least don?t actively peruse vintage as much as the new figs.

I was just wondering how many of you are Vintage collectors?

Do you do a collect a mix of both or prefer one or the other? (new or old)

My preference is Vintage. Apart from vehicles, which I find hard to locate vintage, and I only pick up new figs if they catch my eye, for example 300th Boba Fett.

ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!!

Figures, vehicles, books, games, software, cards, ... and not all of it is Star Wars.

About the only thing I don't collect is the Lego because it's too expensive and I don't really like the look of most of it.

I've already got most of the vintage stuff (especially the figures) from when I was a youngster.

No pictures though.

 

I used to be really into the vintage stuff, got almost all of them except Yak face and blue snaggletooth. I still like to collect any vintage vehicles, but now I just pick them up cheap when I can rather than import them.

The same with the newer figures, I have all the POTF2s, but now I just get the POTJ's that I like rather than every one I see.

Also like to get store displays and promo posters etc.

I also collect various other SW things, such as cards, KFC toys,Lego, and even newspaper clippings.

aside from SW, I collect original (and some new) Transformers, Masters of the Universe, Lord of the Rings, and any other toys that catch my eye!

I used to collect vintage. Most were leftovers from my childhood - though I bought a few items in the mid 90s. I have about 80 figures and several vehicles.

But I gave that up when I started to need money for rent/food/petrol etc.

The only thing like that I buy these days is Star Wars Lego and Lucasarts PC games.

Like Chansplace, I don't have Yakface or Blue Snaggletooth. They are my holy grails.

I've got the EP1 figs (only the ones released in NZ)

But that will do me. I won't be persuing the EP2 figs when they come out. (or will I?)

 

I only get something if I really like it, or it's really really cheap.

Honestly, all the stupid figures Hasbro puts out ... 'Man standing to the left of Leia in the throne room', 'Stormtrooper who hits his head on the door' etc etc. Nobody needs to own those things.

I collect star wars computer games,have just about all of them except the original x-wing,
xwing vs tie balance of power, and force commander

 

I don't collect anything anymore. Might get a few EP2 figures, but that would be about it.

i also collect cards dbz toys lotr toys and transformers i got to finish paying off the one i have on layby before i get much else

Does anyone else here collect the 12" figures??

I've managed to pick up quite a few (and some double-ups ) even though we only really got the first Episode I release here in NZ.

 

the 12 inchers never really grabbed me, somehow they always looked a bit funny (the 'fat' stormtrooper for example.) although I did get the first 6 episode 1 figures, and the 3 electronic ones when they where on special. oh yeah, got the Amidala figures too.

recently picked up my very first 12 inch vintage figure: 12 inch Goldenrod.

 

Let me know if you want any more - I've got about six double-ups to get rid of at some stage, but I need to do a really good sort out first.

Collecting most 3 3/4" stuff figures, vehicles, playsets

have made a recent decision to focus on figures and stuff out of the original 3 movies
so not collecting muc EPII stuff unless i like it

Hard to find the vintage stuff at a resonable price,
Managed to pick up a few figures last week, waiting for another swap meet really and armageddon

Also am interested in some of the action fleet stuff
