I've also got to bail. I caught a virus Monday night, and while I feel much better than I did yesterday, I'm still pretty weak.

    Have fun those who go.

    Be seeing you,

I've got an orange cat we could bleach, and that new glue they're using instead of stitches would work to make the eyes more slanted.

The Globe have finally posted their movie events up til June. See full list here.

Here are a few obvious events to go to, but there's one or two others in the mix which could be interesting.

    80s Creature Feature - The Goonies/Gremlins: Thursday 7 February @ 7pm

    Valentine?s Fantasy Special ? The Princess Bride: Wednesday 13 February @ 7pm

    Silver Screen Classics ? Casablanca/The Maltese Falcon: Wednesday 23 April @ 7pm

Monty Python Double ? Holy Grail/Life of Brian (plus live entertainment?): Thursday 24 April @ 7pm

Almost. The goonies/gremlins differs in that it's on a Thursday, and apparently the monty python double has some sort of insidious "live" portion.

Would love to see the Princess Bride one, and would possibly be interested in seeing the Classics one.

Would rather beat myself in the face with a shovel than watch The Goonies again. That movie gave me a headache last time.

Unfortunately can't really do Wednesday and Thursday nights at the moment as they are kid nights. Would Love to see Princess Bride on the big screen though.

Awww the Goonies wasn't so bad :p Though to me it is a nostalgic reminder of one of the greatest english teachers I was privileged to know (Though she did also show us The Princess Bride and had a intense love of the movie that could only be respected).

I'm thinking about the Goonies/Gremlins one (though I may be by myself there), but I do definitely want to go in for Princess Bride. Can't resist seeing Casablanca on the big screen again either, so I'll definitely be in for the classics one.

Depending on what time I'm leaving on Thursday I'd be up for the Princess Bride as well.

Would rather beat myself in the face with a shovel than watch The Goonies again.

Its funny how a lot of people in the last few years have had a similar reaction. Apparently you have to watch this film for the first time within a certain age window, otherwise it induces head trauma :p

I'm prepared to accept that I took brain damage due to movie choices during my childhood. Would explain the weirdness of today...

I'd be remiss if I didn't note that on June 11 they're showing Forbidden Planet and Logan's Run, two classic sci-fi films. I'll be in for that.

I'll be there for The Princess Bride and Casablanca/The Maltese Falcon. I should also note that The Caro Mio Cafe has classic movie nights every Sunday. Much more expensive than the Globe, but the package includes a dinner too. Check out the site and see if anything takes your fancy.

    Be seeing you,

    Magnus Darcrider

I did note the Forbidden Planet one - I'm going to have to pull out my DVD copy one of these days. [face_thinking]

That does indeed seem to be the case. Had to be there at the time (and the age) sort of thing, I guess.

Oooh, Forbidden Planet and Logan's Run? Count me in.

Apparently so because I'm really quite fond of the Goonies...

I'd probably be up for the Logan's Run one too.

So The Crow and Sleepy Hollow are tomorrow night?

Well this will bring out every Goth in Brisbane, but these are good films, and it's been a long time since I've seen them on the big screen.

    Anyone else interested?

And here I had thought I'd gone and missed it. *facepalm* Shows how well my brain is functioning today.

I'm interested, but I think I'm coming down with something so I don't know how I'll be travelling come tomorrow evening. Also need to pack for Melbourne... [face_worried]

Eep, the Crow/Sleepy Hollow, both very good, but I don't think I'm up for going out tonight. My back has been this on and off cramp this week.
