Welcome to all the new people coming over from TOS forum! The EUC is a relaxed place to discuss the events going on in the Expanded Universe. The structure is a little different here. Instead of specific topics, we discuss in Fan Clubs. Your moderators are s65horsey and GrandAdmiralJello. Please don't hesitate to ask us a question.

For instance: the Legacy comic discussion is currently underway with John and Jan in the Cade Skywalker fan club. We are anxiously awaiting the end of the series!

Our most active fan clubs include:
Sith Fan Club (Dominion of Darkness) where most of the FotJ discussion is happening
X-wing Series Fan Club is always a favorite of the EUCers and we frequently reread the series and discuss its awesomeness.
The Mara Jade Fan Club still does what it can to honor our beloved heroine.
Thrawn Fans Unite is a popular stop for the Imperial lovers.

The Callista Fan Club and the Kyp Durron fan club like to focus on Fan Art and Fan Fics as well as discuss any information revealed about both characters in FotJ.

We have a variety of social threads:

or just hang out at the New Users Social

If you're interested in more than just discussions, some of the Fan Clubs engage in role playing activities. Minor role playing occurs in some of the fan clubs, and the more serious games are in the Role Playing Forum.
The New Jedi Order and Legacy Fan Club was used for much discussion during the times those books were just coming out. Now it has turned into multiple squadrons of people who have a love of flying and role playing.
We also have a Senate that changes from Imperial to Republic depending on who is elected. Users can act as Senators and represent their fan clubs and help come up with ideas to make the EUC a fun place to hang out.


The Starfighter draft is a popular game over here that has been around for several years and is currently on its 15th edition. In the game, users draft an 8 person team and then randomize their numbers to try and match their pilots up with their opponent's pilots so they can get more victories. 3 judges then vote on who would win. For instance Corran Horn vs Pash Cracken. We all know Corran could take him, so the judges would vote and Corran would win the match. People reference books, movies, videogames in order to try to convince the judges that their person would win the match.

For the record, TOS isn't closing down to read-only until April 29th, from what I know.

I don't think we'll see a huge surge until around then, if there IS one.

I don't see anything wrong with the comment I wrote.

 

I've been checking in and TOS has pretty much cleared out already, the traffic has dropped significantly since the announcement was made. The only traffic that remains is people saying goodbye.

I don't think many will be coming here, it seems TFN has a bad rep over there. Many have already stated they are moving to other forums. Some decided to create their own forum, but people from TFN 'hacked' it and deleted everything. That really put a lot of people off and influenced them not to come here.

Don't expect many refugees from TOS.

 

That's sad. The EUC part of the board is actually full of really nice people who love Star Wars.

 

I wonder how many have come over so far.

I actually like Pash, and he and Corran duking it out in starfighters sounds like fun to me! Corran is maybe slightly more likely to win more often - but Pash just might surprise you.
