Discussion What Actor Would You Choose to Play the Antagonist?

The Antagonist will mostly be either Sith Lord or Imperial Warlord.

My first choice is Ralph Fiennes, he could play both type perfectly, since both his Voldemort and Goeth are awesome.



Female villain I will choose Winona Ryder. Her Abigail Williams is awesome.

 

Benedict Cumberpatch for the conceited imperial officer, William Forsythe for a truly terrible sith lord, and maybe Vinnie Jones as the strong silent (only way he'd make it in a disney film is keeping his filthy mouth shut) tank of a sith apprentice.

 

I can't get the image of Betty White force choking some little bootlicker out of my head. I know it seems like I'm trying to make a joke, but I'm not. Force choking, shooting force lightning... imagine it. She could totally pull off insane evil.

 

Daniel Day Lewis - probably as some kind of crime lord, or an ex-imperial mentally broken from the civil war.

This could work. Some secret sith cult could clone her and make her force sensitive. Then at the end of Ep 7 she is redeemed as she dies and could come back as a force ghost in Ep 8 and 9 and give advice to ben/jaina? Like obi wan?

 

Gary Oldman would make a great villain (doesn't he always?) Which reminds me of something my Mum said earlier this year "Gary Oldman? wasn't he that guy that sung Are Friends Electric?" "No Mum, that was Gary Numan" and my Dad's one yesterday "There's bugger all on TV, SYFY just has Buffy for hours then some Star Wars thing called Robot The Chicken, sounds rubbish" Bless them both

 

Michael Fassbender as Evil Imperial Sith

 

Tom Hiddleston as Loki, the trickster God! Those cursed Avengers thwarted his plans to take over Earth but the nine-realms are large and he has a Grand Army.

(Don't say it won't happen. Both are owned by Disney!)

 

Fassbender is good as heroic characters or at least decent characters. I wouldn't mind seeing him fall, to the Dark Side. He's likeable. His fall would be tragic methinks.


Eva Green as a Sith Witch, a spy or some other political seductress.

This guy is typecast as the baddie usually but because he's good at it:

Terry O'Quinn - fine actor. Could do a Coloniel Kurtz type role.


Jasin Statham as a Mandalorian or another Bounty Hunter type.

OR if these guys don't work out for Episode VII they could be in the first SW spinoff movie:

I, Lobot

I Lobot follows the story of Lobot's disgruntled son as he goes on a killing spree in Cloud City, looking for the S.O.B. who lobotomized his father. It's a who dunnit. In the end Lobot Jr. discovers that:

Ventress in Ep7 will be fantastic!

 

Javier Bardem as Thrawn. I have no idea if it would be awesome or awesomely terrible.

 

Bruce willis. tom hardy would be nice. They can look menacing. since matt vaugn is directing, jason flemyng is a strong possibilty. He could pull of the evil genius look. He could also look cold and heartless. the choice of actor should depend on what the villain is like.

 

One of the elements that made the OT stronger than the PT was the fact that we had a singular villain to grow to despise. I think we'll see a singular villain again with alot of agents of evil orbiting him/her.
