I couldn't find anything new that looked interesting so I picked up the Secret Wars TPB. I just started to read it and it's hilarious that the idea for big super-team up events came about just because the Kenner Super Powers figures sold well and Marvel wanted in on the action.

Yeah, with the 8 comics I bought today (I would consider a printing error free shipment of Wolvie 51 to be a new comic, personally) today was the biggest new comic haul I've ever gotten.

today i got new avengers 28 and the confession. Both issues were solid. It was nice to see a pay off on ms. marvel's comments in the initiative.

After my GRE's yesterday i rewarded myself with a few comics :) i got sensational spidey 35, friendly spidey 18, squadron supreme hyperion vs nighthawk 1-3, and civil war war crimes. I liked them all.

    This week:

    The Confession
    Punisher War Journal #5
    Battlestar Galactica #7
    Moon Knight #8
Ghost Rider #9 - I'm actually really liking this series. The concept of Satan taking over Jack O'Lantern's body is awesome.
    Wolverine: Origins #12
    New Avengers #28
    New X-Men #36
    Fables #58
Thunderbolts #112 - Great book. Norman going crazy(er) over "The Steel Spider" was cool.

    DC

    52 Week 48
    Nightwing #131
Supergirl #16- Oh, so that's what's going on....Garza's art is nice.
Justice League of America #7- After seven issues it finally feels like the JLofA.

    Marvel

    Annihilation: Heralds of Galactus #2
The Mighty? Ant-Man #7- Good grief but I love this series. So much fun, such a ******* protagonist.
Avengers: The Initiative #1- Felt more like an X-Men series start than Avengers. But still loved it.
Fallen Son: Wolverine- Eh, it was okay.
Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness #2- Great fun. I love me the Marvel Zombies and this issue was no different. ZOMBIE RUNAWAYS! ZOMBIE HOWARD THE DUCK! This series, like the previous one, have taken a novel idea and run away with it to greatness. Quite possibly the best thing to come out of Millar and Land's run on Ultimate F4.
Omega Flight #1- Loved me the Force Works joke. Loved me the turmoild of Sasquatch. Coming back for more, most assuredly.
Runaways #25- Ah, the beginning of a new era. While not as polished as BKV/Alphona, Whedon's love for the characters and Ryan's art make the fall off less jarring than it could've been. I'm sure, given the course of their arc, they will improve and make this a very good continuance of my favorite Marvel series. I want the cover to #26 as a poster, Jo Chen rocks.

Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears #3
Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness #2 - I didn't even notice that that was the Runaways eating Old Lace at first. I was too busy laughing at The Blob being chased in the background.
    Omega Flight #1
Avengers: The Initiative #1 - So if all these kids aren't mutants, where the frack did they get their powers? It has to be tough to write non-mutant origins for so many characters.
    Fallen Son: Wolverine
    Jack of Fables #9
