Knox, TN What should the niname for the Knoxville FanForce chapter be?

Well blast it all! I screwed up on the thread title, but you get the point. These were the names submitted at the last meeting for possible nicknames for our FanForce chapter, so I set up a poll so that you guys can vote on it. This poll will expire in ten days, so you must vote before that time or you will not have a voice in this matter later. In case of a tie, I will cast the deciding vote.

Here's where the fun begins!

 

Oh, and please reply here after you vote saying which one you voted for. If you don't, I can't tell if a member of our fanforce chapter voted for an option or not. If there are any votes counted here without a response in this thread, I will have to assume that the vote is from someone who is not a member of our FanForce chapter and disqualify it.

I apologize for this, but the polling feature is anonymous and this board is huge. I have to be able to put a face to the votes or I can't know they are authentic. I'm sorry I didn't think of this earlier, but for those who have already voted just reply here saying what you voted for.

I voted for the Knoxtroopers.
Once we get a design hammered out for the patch, I think it would be neat to get some t-shirts made with that logo on the front. Rod said there's a place in the West Town Mall that makes tshirts, possibly individually as opposed to having to order 12 at once. I've only got one thing that I could sew a patch onto and actually wear, but I wear t-shirts all the time. I think it'd be a good way to advertise our group. Kind of like an interactive flyer. What do you guys think?

I gave it some thought and like Knoxville Troopers the best.

At first I thought it was to generic a name but hey!....nobody's using it?

I can't fix it, but I'll just count that as a vote for Knoxtroopers. I just wanted to make sure that was what happened.

C'mooooooooon, you guys. Knoxtroopers is cool. It just rolls off the tongue, like "rural" or "ichthyology." I know there ain't much difference between the choices, but we could be like the Sandtroopers or the Snowtroopers, you know, an elite group. Specialized for combat in the brutal, cold, unforgiving vacuum of Knoxville. C'mon, how bout it?

 

Actually, I like "Voltroopers" better. Just "Voltroopers." If anyone asks where it came from, it's because we come from the Volunteer State. It doesn't have to have anything to do with football.

 

Well I voted for the Voltrooper. I thought that was most original.

Even if you don't like UT football, this is the Volunteer state, and Knoxville has as much "volunteer spirit" as any city in the state.

I didn't vote for it but I still like it. (I just liked another one better).

But I know it will grow on me

Now we can start making things like shirts and get the details on the patch
