FF:WA Whats New & Whats Not?

Just wondering (o my, my first topic here) the different things from fanforce.

I know we have alot of cool options, and we are suppose to be getting smilies soon. But does anyone know if we can post pics or web address. Maybe I should just read FAQ.

I think I might do that now. Anyone know of anything else that is different or that we can do on here. Just wondering?

Does this board use html or is it that other format from the old fanforce? Anyone know?

 

IT uses HTML but I'm pretty sure it's been disabled, so we are restricted in what can be posted - I think the only thing we can do is post a link like this - http://theforce.net

Well we never had HTML on the WA forum for some reason anyway. Only UBB. One way to see if we have HTML here. A little test.

I'm pretty sure it's always been TF.N policy not to have HTML enabled. I'd guess that it is because it can cause some serious foul-ups in the board operations. There was a loop-hole in the pre-snowboard days where HTML could be used in the profiles if you knew what to do, but the admins closed that down after one of the crashes.

 

I read somewhere that we can change our options so that the forum of our choice will be at the top of the list. Has anyone figured out how to do that?

 

Yep. Pick the forum you want. Then click on "Add To Favourites". Keep doing that until you've added all the forums you visit on a regualr basis. You can also change the settings by going into "Options".

 

Another new feature of the Jedi Council Forums is a refreshing cool mint flavor!

 

I think the look of the board is nicer to, especially the border graphics around the outside. Mmmmm!

I'm glad that the messages are wider in the new forums. I miss a few things from UBB (like embedded pictures) but some of the features here are nice too.

hmm... pinbacks humour is a learnt behaviour... that's what you get for missing parties/functions

Back to the topic at hand though, does anyone know when the options of posting pics will come in, if ever? Otherwise if we need to post a pic, can we just put the link there instead?
