For me it was 1998 when I was 8 years old. I followed the Braves, I started to follow Clemson in '99.

I can recall watching All Blacks test matches and being interested in following the cricket when I was 10 - 11. So 1982 / 83 I guess.

I was in third grade when my brothers and I started following Hockey.

    I can't remeber a time when I wasn't interested in horses.

I can't remember ever not being interested in sports.

In my life, I've attended a Baseball game every year I've been alive.

Sports were always on the tv, in my household, when I was younger. I suppose I really started taking personal interest around the age of 10 or so.

While I have memories of watching countless Knicks games on Sunday afternoons during my childhood, the 1999 baseball season is the year I'd set (I was probably absorbing the excitement my brother had over the Mets' first playoff appearance since 1988). A little later, basketball, hockey and football followed.

I first started going to USC basketball games in '93-94, and football games in '94. So more than 13 years now for me.

1985. I saw Will Clark play at a minor league game in my hometown. As my hometown was an affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, I began to follow the Giants that year. I have been a diehard fan ever since.

I was always interested in horses, but I wasn't in other sports first - until the seventh grade. It all changed suddenly and I started doing more and more sports. But I never really followed a certain sport or team on TV for a longer time. So there's no "first year". ;)

1986. I was six years old and my parents were huge Broncos fans. We watched Elway carry the Broncos to the Superbowl for the first time, and of course lose. I remember Denver was Bronco crazy in the weeks leading up to the game. The Friday before the Super Bowl a news crew came to my school and shot a bunch of us in our Broncos attire. I thought I was going to be on TV but I wasn't. It wasn't fun watching Denver get to all those Super Bowls and get blown out by the superior NFC, but I guess I've been a fan ever since "the drive".

    1989

It was the year when my favourite hockey team, Leksand, went to the finals of the playoffs of the Swedish Elite League. Sadly, they lost, but since then I have devotedly been following hockey and been an obsessed fan.
