Benjamin Franklin, I share my first name with him so I have always felt more fond of him than any of the others.

He gave up the power when he had it, and that is something very difficult for individuals with power to do.

Hamilton, without him, our economy would not be the greatest in the world.

It's like choosing a favorite child, but I went with George Washington... It's hard to read about the crossing of the Delaware River into Trenton and not be awed. Talk about a man meeting a moment, and that's GW.

    George Washington.

I don't like how two of his most important (and wise) principles are being ignored, because the US is not staying out of foreign affairs, and we have multiple political parties, two things which George was against.

But hey, what can you do.

    Where's Thomas Edison?

    I kid I kid. :p

I'd go for Benjamin Franklin too. 'Cause he has the same birthday as my brother. :p

I remember him from a set of books I used to read when I was younger. Always liked him.

Washington. Washington understood the role of the Presidency, filled that role entirely, doing no more or less than what he was supposed to. Every President since Washington has attempted to expand the role of the Presidency, and their successes have been failures for the United States.

I voted for Hamilton, just barely over Washington. Hamilton more than any other founding father had a dramatic impact on how America developed in the long term.
