Who's your favorite Gator QB?

1. Steve Spurrier- Heisman trophy winner, greatest Gator coach ever

2. Kerwin Bell- 4 year starter in the mid-80s, led Gators to a pair of unofficial SEC titles and consecutive 9-1-1 records

3. Shane Matthews- Spurrier's 1st quarterback, had unprecedented success at the time and led Gators to first official title

4. Danny Wuerffel- Heisman trophy winner, played on 4 straight SEC championship teams and led Gators to 1996 national championship
5. Rex Grossman- Spurrier's last quarterback as Gator coach, put up amazing statistics and finished 2nd in Heisman voting as a sophomore, led Gators to SEC title as a freshman

 

My favorite is Kerwin Bell. He was the QB when I first started watching the Gators and was a coach at my highschool when I was there.

 

Well Latorski, I would have to say Terry Dean... yeah, Terry Dean... What was that guy thinking?

But Danny W and Stevie S were also great QBs. Didn't do too well as pro-players.

 

Yeah, poor Terry Dean, in 1 week he went from being a Heisman candidate to 3rd string. I always felt kinda bad for him. He had the misfarture of playing on the same team as Danny W.

I wonder how Grossman would have done this year. He was a fun player to watch.

 

I like Danny. He seems like a very classy guy.

Best looking QB is Danny.

Best player QB is a tie between Danny and up and comming freshman Chris Leak.

Rex Grossman won his first NFL start last week. Way to go, Rex!

I feel kinda bad for Brock. I hope he makes a come back and plays well.

 

I guess Jesse Palmer deserves special mention for becoming a reality tv star.

So does Chris Leak who seems set to have a big year.
