I'm very curious as to how much absinthe that is. [face_thinking]

[face_blush] And here's where I almost put my foot in it by saying: 'Coo, that must be a lot of a lot of absinthe!' (In the sense of absinthe not weighing very much, and consuming a small child's weight of absinthe would probably be lethal... Not meant to be insulting, honest! O:))
One of my housemates went to the Czech Republic last year and had 'real' absinthe... She had one shot and was under the table - she was no light weight either! [face_worried]

*Sneakily puts some green food colouring in some water and gives it to Moose* [face_whistling]
Here we go - absinthe! :D

I'll let you know when I get out of the office!

lol, nah, it's been warm of late, but other than that it's been great!

How's the UK and your *shudders* warm beer?

    [face_dancing] Yay! A fellow hermit! :D

Hmm... Well, it's been cold with no snow, so very disappointing... :( And beer? What beer? [face_worried] Beer is :p Much prefer Baileys! [face_love]

And is that why the Fosters adverts always make such a big thing about their beer being cold? Seems daft really... Warm country = cold beer, cold country = warm beer

Dunno, no-one drinks Fosters here anyway as far as I know. Heck, I don't think I've seen it anywhere for sale here.

But I could be wrong, not a big drinker myself. Don't mind Baileys mind you.

Ah... And have just been informed by my resident alcoholic that Fosters is in fact brewed in the UK (so much for the all-Australian image... ), and we only drink Ale warm, apparently... (Again, not a big beer fan, to be honest :D )

Baileys is very nice though, as are Tia Maria, Amarula and Cinzano...=P~

Ale, as in real ale, is served at room temperature, iirc, and not warm.

Fosters seems like 'Wiltshire Bitter', I've never actually seen it being served in Wiltshire, I've only seen it in Devon.

Yeah, I should have put it in the crazy thread ;) . I'm in End User IT Support. Sort of like floor walking. I don't solve issues over the phone, I walk to their desks and beat them over the head with the keyboard and then plug it in... lol. Anything that needs me to physically be there ie: Hard disk failure upgrades, screens, memory, failed printers (sigh, the large printers, not little deskjets :( ) and now email push PDA's. I do sometimes do the other stuff, active directory accounts etc, but it's kinda rare. But we 5 techs support the entire state of sites (approximately 4500 computers).

Yeah I agree and I do enjoy it. The guys that work in our department are a riot makes work more enjoyable. If anything the customers spoil it, lol.. but that's what they're there for ;) It's almost never toooooo busy, but mostly it keeps you occupied all day. Getting the wrong client can really give you a headache but mostly it's ok.

Sometimes we get a project where you're given some new piece of equipment and told to 'fiddle'.. I love that aspect of it, especially when it's something 'neat' :D

Aye, it seems that there are only really three regulars here and two of us aren't in WA. :(

*has a drink so stiff she can stand a spoon in it*

    No, wait, that's not right.

    *checks*

    It's not a drink, it's a jelly pot!

    Mmm, jelly. =P~

Stinky: One of the great ones who fixey computers... [Toy Story Alien] Ooooo! [/Toy Story Alien]
Go on then, any truly hilarious stories of human stupidity, such as:

Daft person: My computer won't work.
Techie: Try pressing the power button...

    ? :D

Have to admit that one has never come up. But we've had people call to complain that the pc isn't working during power outages..

    [face_laugh] =D=

Worryingly enough, I have heard of someone being involved in the 'power button' incident. Although my own Mother makes me laugh - I tell her to double click something and she asks me whether I mean the left or right mouse button.... :D

*Takes a Baileys for herself* It does seem very quiet around here...

*Watches a tumble weed pass by*

I'm not really a beer drinker, but as this is an imaginary bar I can imagine that it tastes like something else.
