Amph Your favorite speeches/monologues

Well... no. Why would the film continue beyond that point if that was the case? We're talking about the Coen Bros here. And Cormac McCarthy.

The Lion in Winter nomination is a good one.

My personal favourite is this (language):

I do an amazing impression of the following speech, and though it's actually quite emotionally intense it's so absurdly accurate it comes off as comical. While everyone else just shouts "ADRIAAAANN", this is my go to Stallone impression.

Seriously, though, I thought his intro and outro conversations were just prologue and epilogue commentary to bookend the sort of thematic feeling of the film. I didn't think the meat of its message was meant to be found there. Regardless, I will probably never watch it again. That thing is too damn long.

 

The ending speech of First Blood by Stallone is some fine acting for a tense and fairly well put-together action thriller. Shame the series became stupid he-man nonsense.

This is one of my absolute favorite monologues in drama... we'll see how it comes out in the film.

 

Not sure if it counts as an actual "monologue"....but here's Orson Welles telling a story about how he spent one day as a psychic.

 

HELL YEAH! Ivanova is great character.

 

That she is. I wish we had gotten her for S5, but I'm glad JMS opted not to kill her off. Allows fans to wonder what other awesome adventures she had.

 

Well, I know what movie I feel compelled to rewatch now.

 

Maybe not a 'true' monologue, but it still counts to me:
