I'm nearly finished with the novelization of "Doom" and I've also started on the novelization of "ROTS."

I'm planning to obtain a copy of "Politically Incorrect Guide to American History" very soon.

Recently completed "Labrynth of Evil."

Well, I'm currently reading Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader. I got it for Hanukkah, so I waited and read Dark Nest III: The Swarm War first. I had previously re-read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, so now I understand why so many people, e.g. ROTSAnakin, were upset with the movie and I agree with them.

I loved The Da Vinci Code... Angels and Demons, the prequel, is really good too. I just hate Tom Hanks as Langdon though...

I recently started Everything Bad is Good For You, but since school starts in two days I know I probably won't finish it anytime soon. sad

I just started reading Memoirs of a Geisha. I have heard that it is good, so I figure that I should read it before seeing the movie.

Ok.

Currently reading Horse and his Boy, the second book in the Chronicles of Narnia.

Just finished The Archers Tale by Bernard Cornwell. Awesome medieval historical fiction. It's actualyl part of a series. Those are next after the Narnia books.

Okay, but I thought they were making Prince Caspian as the second movie. Does the order of the books not correspond to chronological time?

No they don't. Douglas Gresham, C.S. Lewis's stepson owns the rights to the books. He changed the orders from publication order to chronological order a few years ago. It is a big debate in the C.S. Lewis arean of which is correct, and it is a 50/50 split among most scholars. In my opinion, and most of my coworkers at the bookstore etc, publication order is the way to go. I tell people when they are buying the book to look up the proper order before reading them.

Chronological order:

1. The Magician's Nephew
2. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
3. A Horse and His Boy
4. Prince Caspian
5. Voyage of the Dawn Treader
6. The Silver Chair
7. The Last Battle

Publication Order:

1. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
2. Prince Caspian
3. Voyage of the Dawn Treader
4. The Silver Chair
5. A Horse and His Boy
6. The Magician's Nephew
7. The Last Battle

Not that chronological order ever mattered to me. When I have kids, I'm still going to show them Star Wars 4-5-6-1-2-3.

I agree on both orders, Dylan, I read the books the way my set came to me in 1977?78? and when I first saw Star Wars of course I saw them in the order they came out- I am a first generation fan to be certin. If I saw them Episode 1,2,3,4,5,6 I would not have thought Vader to be a menacing, forbading villian. I would see him as I see him now, a sad puppet of the Emperor. It made the story more suprising as the events unfolded originally.

So if they do the movies in publication order, the first 4 will be in chronological order. Then, we'll jump back to a story between the first two movies. The 6th will be a prequel, and then we'll finally have the conclusion at the end. So I don't know if the four children are in all seven books, but if so, it looks to be a casting nightmare. You could have a kid be in 1-4 and then need a different kid for 5, a third kid for 6, and then any of those 3 for the 7th.

Ok someone who's read the books is going to have to fully explain this to Steiny. But from what I've gathered they're only "kids" in LW&W, none of the others. They are adult then. COrrect? And I believe we through in many new characters.

Point is, I suggest you research it Steiny. The kids looks aren't important in this one.
