We have a national holiday next week and I wanted to remind everyone to be safe. Don't relight dud fireworks don't drink and rive and drive safe.
Today my mother was sideswiped by a rock quarry dump truck on the passangers side that ran a red light. I thank God she is alive and well and freshly as I'm typing this in bed resting on pain medication with no broken bones. It is a mircacle she survived. And it is the second time a Saturn vehicle and a miracle has saved a family members life.
So please folks be careful this next week. And spend some time with yuor loved ones. Think smart and stay safe. Don't speed slow down and mmove to the other lane when aproiprate and be careful around colorful part explosives (especially with children around).

Glad to hear your Mother is well Joe. Guess that's testimony to a Saturn vehicle's safety rating. Take good care of your mom (I'm sure I didn't need to tell you that).

thank the maker you and your mother are safe!
Please, please, write Saturn a heartfelt letter about how good their vehicles have been to you. You never know- a. it's always good to hear you have a great product and b. what if they give you a free car ? (wink)
seriously, take a second and thank them. You'd be suprised at what a couple of kind words brings you, what goesd around, comes around.

Thank you all for your concern. I'll post up some interesting pics of the car later. right after my initial post my father and I went to Lewisburg to see where the car had be taken. Interesting fact, they never found the back tire. The dump truck (I guess is he proper name for those huge things) ran a redlight sideswiped her on the drivers side on the back door of the ION. Had she started that left turn a slight moment later it would have hit her the car wouldn't have spun andI would be here posting tonight.
And yeah Shannon mostly they know but you're right I should right a letter ansd it'd be easy to deliver. My father works on the line as well as he's a UAW Chaplain(sp?).
As far as the reason for my post though. Yes safety.
And Ryan, man take care of yourself on your trip and I wish your friend a great wedding and a long prosperous marriage.
And anyone else traveling trooping lighting off or just watching fireworks keep a eye out for yourself and your friends but have fun too.

To be honest I really don't know hwat happened to him or her or the truck company I haven't been too involved with the insurance stuff going on. Beyond driving my dad for the rental car and all and gonig to help take pictures and get stuff out of the ION that is.
