Got something cool going on in your life that you want everyone to know about? Post it here!
For those of you who want to know what "w00t" means:
w00t:
- An expression of joy and excitement.
I just got an A on my test. w00t! - w00t was originally an acronym for "we owned other team" but used 1337$p34|< for some of the letters(w00t instead of woot). It is now commonly used as an interjection of joy.
"w00t! I pwn3d j00!"
"Oh! You see that hs??!?! W00T4G3!"
Anyone want to start? Okay, I will. Today is my 5-year anniversary of working for the Metro Nashville Police Department. I dropped off my long-sleeved shirts and winter jacket at our supply store today to have the first of many hash marks sewn onto the sleeves. Of course, it'll probably be 2-3 months before anyone sees the hash marks on my long-sleeved shirts, but it's still a good feeling.

Is that actually pronounceable as "Woot" Or should I just accept it as a conceptualization of emphatic joy?
As for me... I had a car wreck a week ago today. I had a green arrow and the lady that hit me ran a red light. Although she's drivable, I suspect the damage to my car is a totaler. (My car is pretty much worthless) But I did get a call from the other lady's insurance company today. Seems they finally got a copy of the police report, and talked to the guy behind me who said he would be a witness, and they are accepting liability. w00t! (does that qualify?)

I was in the paper today, but only if you live in the Southeast part of the county (in the Davidson AM section). They posted a list of all the zone officers and their pictures. Unfortunately, they used my Academy picture -- when I had no hair. I was hoping that picture would somehow disappear once they made a new department ID card for me this summer. I guess it's going to haunt me until the day I retire.
Oh, and my airsoft P-90 arrived in the mail today! It cost me $40 and took 3 days to arrive by UPS Ground. Of course I did end up buying a few accessories: laser sight, tactical flashlight, etc. so the final total was a little higher. Still, it'll look cool at D*C (and SG-Delta sequels).

Oh, and I have another w00t... I'm dating someone. I figured I'd wait until we'd been going out a while to mention it to anyone (it's been one month today). Her name is Wendy, she's 30 years old, and she works at the pharmacy at St. Thomas Hospital. She also happens to live within walking distance (the apartment complex next door to mine). I brought her to visit my parents last night, and she didn't run away screaming. There's hope!
