Nashville Christmas Parades

Every year the 501st participates in the Christmas parades in Gallatin and Hendersonville.
This year it's
Gallatin December 10th
Hendersonville December 11th
Any NADs care to join us?

These parades usually start right after lunch. The Gallatin parade runs close to 2 miles and the Hendersonville parade is a little over 1/4 mile.
More fun than grown people should be aloud.

I did this last year and had such a great time that I decided I needed to join the 501st. This is despite the fact that I don't celebrate Christmas.
They forgot to mention that the annual 501st Southern Outpost dinner/awards/party will be the night of the 10th and everyone is invited to that, too. I am pretty sure I can manage to have all my stuff put together for a tremendous video/photo slideshow of the year's events.

Make sure to bring your camera Hama! We need handlers all the time. Could always throw a Santa hat on you and have you throw out some candy. Got a SW jacket?

i believe both parades are around 2pm.ill verify that soon.
if anybody would like to march in the parade please let us know so we can get you the information on where to be and when.its really fun to walk in the parade and hand out candy.you think the characters get all the attention? wait till the kids see the candy!
so yes,anybody is invited to come out and participate.
and yes we will be having a party/dinner on saturday night.most likely to be held in gallatin near the downtown area.and ofcoarse the room parties are after that.
as of right now im looking at a group of over 30!!! characters.
so it should be fun, cya there.

Oh, this is too cool!! Right in my very hometown!! I'll be glad to help give candy out and march if you guys need it. Is the parade in Shelbyville at night again this year?

6 p.m....I definitely be there! Sure, I'd LOVE to wear a costume!! This sounds like too much fun. The Shelbyville parade needs a little excitement. I bet the kids will just love it.
