Celebration 4A -- Coolest Location Ever!

Okay, so Steve Sansweet announced that there's going to be a Celebration Europe to be held in London in July 2007. I think I may forego my plans for an L.A. trip to for a chance to go to London next year.

That is probably a good idea. My neighbor has gone a few times and said that London is very expensive.  Also, they of course don't take Republic credits.

Actually, that wasn't sarcasm. I really am seriously thinking about going to London next July. It was hard for me to get excited about L.A., though I probably would've gone if it was the only choice.
Now I just have to learn the language.

I'm with Dylan. All things being equal, London wins over LA. I intended to go to C4 but I will probaly opt for CE.

I have to say London is pretty awesome. My 3 days there last November wasn't nearly enough. It can be expensive, but like anywhere else, it all depends on what you going for and what you do (and of course time of year). But if you budget it, do a little research, and plan it out right you might be amazed at what you can pull off.  I personally can't wait to go back someday!

...Not. If you're axious to go to LA, then you've never been there.
You guys can have the Celebrations. I've still got a bad taste in my mouth from C3, or I would, GenCon capped the line for bad-tastes-in-your mouth at 8 am.
I don't want to waste a plane ticket on the chance it might get better.
...even if it did get slightly better, then it would still suck.

I know I may have the oppertunity to do a west coast event because my husband's family is there, and he misses everyone..but I may try for comic con. I know, I'm nuts. We'll see. Europe would be awesome tho!
I'm with you Jester, CIII while fun because I took Kylie was kind of a letdown.

Registration for C4 opens Monday, October 30th, at 2 pm CST (Fall back this weekend). 4-Day badges (with free 5th day for Fan Club members) are $110 for adults and $45 for children.
Holy crap! I think I need to think a while on this one!

I am soo there.
And with all my airline miles (from flying to Japan) I can fly to LA for free.
Despite the long lines and popular opinion, I had a great time at C3.

Looks like somebody copied my post from the SO board.
Anyway, if I were to go, I would stay with family, so I am in no hurry to register. One thing I just realized is that the Clippers, Lakers, or Kings could still be in the playoffs at the time of C4. I don't know if there are plans to use the Staples Center for anything, but that could mess things up. Isn't this thread supposed to be about Celebration Europe, anyway?
