NH Mandalorians July Meet
7/13/08 - TK's place
Members present - TK, James, Steve, Pete, Shelly, Amanda, John, Andy, Tara.
Club Logo - Choices for the club logo was narrowed down to three choices and one was selected. The winner will be posted as soon as the design is finalized.
Website - A new site has been chosen to host the club website. Pete was voted to be the webmaster for the group.
Clone Wars Dinner Event - TK and Amanda presented plans for the dinner event. Details include: The New England Garrison of the 501st will be present; 2 style chicken dinners, pasta dishes, bread baskets, drinks and desserts will be presented for the meal; local artist Matt Marcil will be providing live music (top 40 acoustic); there will be door prizes and raffles, and a silent auction. Gift bags will be given to all attendees, and they will include fliers and coupons from all participating groups & businesses, and a raffle ticket. Group members are encouraged to donate what they can for the auction, as well canvas local businesses for donations of articles that could be used for the raffle/auction. Price of admission will be $25 per person, $15 for 6 yrs or younger. Event will begin at 6pm and go to about 8, where everyone will go to the Regal cinemas in Newington. The charity chosen for this event is Make A Wish Foundation, to which a portion of the proceeds will go. The cut off date for ticket sales will be August 13th.
Costumes - Shelly showed us how far she has gotten in making her Mandalorian costume. Pics were taken and will be posted soon! What she has done so far looks fantastic!
After the meet Pete and John had a very close game of pocketmodels in which Pete was victorious!
