BBQ season is upon us! Not to mention that I love to cook Let this be a thread for all discussions relating to food prep, recipes, and even cooking shows
I just found the knife set (the ones Rachael Ray uses) that I want and it's $200. Put that on my Christmas list.
Iron Chef America. The secret ingredient tonight is crab. Morimoto is the Iron Chef tonight. I actually enjoy watching Mario Batali.

Will's chili is the BEST around (though its a mixture of his and mine )! Chili is better winter meal, but is also good for summer BBQ's and parties . My absolutely favorite chef is Jaques Torres, he takes chocolate and makes masterpeices out it .
A really good summer treat (and easy to make) is Gaucamole I could live off the stuff if avacados weren't so fattening lol.
2 avacados
2 cloves of garlic
1 small lime (or equivelant juice)
Peper Flakes to taste
sea salt (fine or medium) and pepper to taste
Take your garlic and mince it up fine, add some sea salt to the minced garlic (still on the cutting board). Take the edge of your knife (a large kitchen knife) and rub the salt and garlic together until you get a fine paste. You can also do this in a food processor if you want (juice the lime in with it though). Add this paste (or liquid if you used the processor) and add it to the avacado in a large bowl. Add the red pepper flakes (depending on how hot you want it) and mix al together until it resembles lumpy mashed taters. For a little extra zing, add a tablespoon of your favorite amber ale, or a teaspoon of your favorite tequilla. Serve with chips or eat plain.

Ah, Iron Chef. I only recently discovered how catchy this show was at Celeb...
Fukui-San! Chef Will has begun mincing his garlic with all the practiced precision of a Jedi Master!
Although I'm always watching premium channels when I get home from work so I can see lotsa movies in front of my daily pizza, I wouldn't mind watc...
Fukui-San! Chef Will has added his salt-and-garlic paste to the avocado in his large earthen bowl!
I can only wonder how much of the original "Iron Chef", however, was sacrificed in the american version. I mean, what are the differences? Are Kaga's boys still going toe-to-toe with Bobby Flay or is Bobby Flay one of an all-american team of Iron Ch...
Fukui-San! I had thought Chef Will was going to add Amber Ale to provide his guacamole with that extra zing, but it looks like he's courting Judge Kristin's favor by adding tequila!
I'd say Chef Morimoto is in trouble this time.
By the way...Emeril Lagasse vs. an Iron Chef...who wins?

I got it and appreciated it greatly LOL
As for cookout. I like to stand by the old fashioned dog and meat patty. Throw in some kielbasa (which I called chewbacca when I was a kid) and you got yourself some good cooking out.
Soy is definately my friend. Its always there when I have to practice using my sledge-o-matic.

I watched a special on George Washington Carver. Man, Silent Bob's plan to destroy the world by taking out all the soy supply would truly be devistating! Soy is everywhere!
Please pass the burgers!

I got to work with Morimoto last night at work. Very nice man, very tough when it's plating time. His food definitely challenges the American palate; dessert was white asparagus dipped in chocolate served with asparagus ice cream.

Even though it's a bazillion degrees, I cooked dinner again. In a very hot kitchen.
I made sloppy joes (no, not that canned stuff). They were goooooooooood and I have enough for lunch tomorrow
