Well we're all different in opinion, but I can't remember the last time an FPS had me that hooked, nevermind difficulty settings or visuals. Half Life (the original, not the sequel) was the last to do so.

COD4 was a welcome departure from the WW2 genre and has saved the series for now I guess. I miss the days of having challenges and puzzles in a FPS, and more than 3-4 hours game play also

Mario Kart Wii is out next week, GTA after that, Vegas 2 still to finish, Bioshock and Iron Man on the way ... man, i don't know where to find the time for all this!

Are you using Datel's Freeloader? or the Gecko freeloader hack?
Im umming and arrring about the Freeloader, the firmware to kill it has been released, Nintendo are just yet to activate it, and then JAP release of Mario Kart bypassed it anyway.
I picked up No More Heroes for the Wii, which is a lot of fun (mind you, I would have like to have played the US version, with the blood/gore - but what can you do!)
It also looks like Nintendo will be release Club Nintendo when Mario Kart gets launched here next week. Already available across multiple world states, the club allows you to trade in Purchase points for real life products, including Wii Points. Nintendo AU's answer to get people to buy things locally? maybe!

The reason club nintendo never came out locally was a lack of public interest, not that there was a lack of nintendo fans, but the market share Nintendo had up until two years ago was stagnant thanks to Sony and Microsoft. Now that the Wii and DS firmly has the market lead, now's the best time to bring in even more new fans and (to a degree) reward those who stuck it out. It's nice to finally have it here, but I hope we don't get the drabs left from the other clubs and get some decent rewards for our money.
Downloaded Ikaruga on xbox last night, it's a game I always wanted but could never got for the gamecube, and it's a blast.

Datel Freeloader.
I am yet to hear/see/read/experience any update to kill the Freeloader. AU Mario Kart hasn't stopped anything. The idea that the firmware needs to be 'activated' by Nintendo is a bit of a tall tale.
On a different note, everything you've heard about GTA is true.
