So, who's going this year? 
I'll be there volunteering the whole weekend! It was fun in 2006, great in 2007, and it should be even better in 2008 since they doubled their space once again! The 501st and RL will be there in abundance as usual, but also expect to see lots of super heros and anime costume! Hope to see some familiar faces there this year again

Almost a month away and I still haven't fully finished my Supergirl...
I need to make the cape and buy the boots. I was thinking of going as far as to get a 3/4 hair fall to give my limp locks a little volume and va-va-va-voom

I'll be there as Grumpy Law Student Suffering From Anxiety Attacks During Finals. My costume - sweatpants, hoodie, and a bowl full of Ramen. My character is armed with a laptop and a high-quality highlighters in a variety of colors, each with its own special power. Secret weapon is the ability to turn every conversation into an argument and from there win every argument by invoking Justice Scalia's "history and tradition" theory. My character, however, is plagued by the failure of losing the persuasive authority of the Privileges and Immunities Clause, and has made it her life's work to restore the provision. Also, my character has the uncanny ability to find a cause of action upon which to sue anyone. And I mean anyone.
Yeah, I am SO winning that costume contest. 
Kris, I like how you painted a boot onto your leg.  Costume looks fantastic! And dare I say...super.

Anybody have any inside info on media guests attending. I expected the guest list to be alot bigger being that the con has expanded this year to take over the whole Javitts Center. --Billy

I (an important and interesting TFN person or something, if the colors are any indication) am a panelist on the following, well, panel. I will be discussing my "Star Wars" fan films, how they helped me with my career in the film/TV industry, and showing an exclusive world premiere clip from my very newest adventure into SW fan filmmaking, a project set right here in New York called "Brooklyn Force".

Hello, Californian sticking head in the door here --
We may actually be coming out for this, deciding this week -- if there are any of you who have been to either San Diego Comic Cons or San Francisco Wondercons, could you possibly give an estimate of size of crowds/bigness of con over the last two years in relation to the two CA events above? We've attended SD since the 70's and Wondercon since it started as a lowly convention in Oakland in the 80s, so we're well versed in evolution of crowd sizes.
