Does anyone in the NYC area know were or know of someone who had access to a princess leia gold bikini costume that is available to be rented? I am a photographer who has a model who wants to model this costume for me. I'm sure that I would be able send some of the pics to whomever helped me out. lol.

I'm one of the few people in the area with the costume, but I'm afraid I can't loan/rent it out as it specifically sized to my proportions. However, you can get a costume from Rubies at Halloween Adventure downtown. http://www.halloweenadventure.com/ You might even be able to find one at a Rickys, I know I just saw the new Star Trek costumes out already.

With a little modification you can get it to look more like the original. The briefs on the sides obviously need to go, and you'd need a heavier duty chain that looks like it could choke a Hutt. You could get away with the top as it is for a photoshoot I'm sure. Also make sure you have medium sized gold hoop earrings, and the long hair braid in the back. Leia wears boots, but I'm sure gold gladiator style sandals would be cool too.
