Sure I can take one.

Also the price I got was an internet price special (cheaper yet).

Actually Chris...I checked that "Special Internet Rate", and it says
$49.49 US for 3 adults (double)
$53.99 US for 3 adults (king)

So, the "Red Hot Deal" I discovered before March 16th, is still the cheapest!! silly

But....if you would like to make a rebuttal....I'm up for it...LOL!! mischief

We need to check the room limit at the Motel 6. I just checked with Red Roof, and the maximum for rooms with double beds is 5...for kingsize beds it's only 3.

OK, thats what the hotel says.

Now if anyone has ever been to a convention those numbers are merely guidelines.

If there be floor space there be a person in the room. The more the merrier, but most importantly, the more the cheaper.

I just checked the internet rate avalibility...no rooms. Go figure.

Does anyone have CAA? That would be the best plan of attack for a cheap room.

Sorry John, but I'm not putting more people in the room than the hotel allows. As the adult..I'm responsible. For Motel 6...the limit per room is only 4.

So for 1 adult, and 3 under 18: $25.49US + tax, split 4 ways = $10.32 CDN

For 2 adults, and 2 under 18: $30.59US + tax, split 4 ways = $12.39 CDN

Motel 6

CAA....me no gots sad

I've got CAA plus, thought I've never used it for booking a hotel before. Just for having my stupid fugly van towed.

Well if we are sharing rooms, and the price isn't that bad (it seems reasonable), and Laurie has offered to lend me a costume...I MAY just be able to make it. I can't say for sure but I am definately interested.

cheapest I could find with my CAA card is the red roof inn wink

It'd be 66.37 CAD a night for 2 adults (they only give quotes for 2 adults). And there are rooms available (as far as I can tell, anyway).

If Kevin and James are going, we have 9 people. Chris wants his own room...so there are 8 bodies left (4 adults, 4 under 18). We will need 2 rooms, with 4 people in each.

On paper..the cheapest way to divide it up is 2 adults, and 2 under 18, per room, and split the cost 4 ways. (If the guys want to be 5 in a room (Tim, James, Graeme, Nick, Kevin)...and the girls 3 in a room (Leigh, Eryn and me)...or some other arrangement..that's fine, and can be worked out later.)

The cheapest so far is Motel 6, even without CAA discount. It does not appear they do the CAA discount...but I will check.

On another note...I have a new (old) van. It's a red, 1989 Dodge Grande Caravan. It's in pretty good shape, seats 7 and has extra hatch space in the back. I can use the ratty old car-top carrier to put our costumes in...to make the ride inside more comfy. Question is...who's willing to be the driver?
