RE: The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning: Path of Heroes
IC: The Blue Vortex
Parr Residence; Los Angeles, California
"Are you listening to me?"
The tension in the air was palpable, there was no doubt about it. As the officer waited for compliance from the Blue Vortex, more sirens could be heard in the distance. These sounded more ominous. The speaking officer did not look back, but instead held Vortex's gaze.
Vortex slowly lowered his hovering disc to the ground, his feet at last touching down on the hard concrete below. The light blue disc disappeared into thin air, as its duties had been fulfilled and it was needed, at present, no longer.
"Very well," Vortex told the policeman as he walked by. "I mean no trouble here. You have a duty to maintain peace and security, and I wouldn't want to get in the way." There was a slight hint of sarcasm in his voice as he said this, and it may or may not have been caught by the officer. Either way, the light blue disc appeared beneath the gallant hero's feet once more as he began to fly off into the distance. Had their been no police around, he would have headed home, but the last thing he wanted was to let
them
know where he lived.

IC: Abominus
Deanville, Texas
"Are we done here?"
"Only if I decide NOT to collect on the large bounty on your head... now that you so politely declined our generous offer."
The man in the suit could not help the cheshire grin that came over him. His posture was relaxed, but his facial features bespoke of a deep and subtle darkness not entirely unlike that of Abominus himself. There was no doubt that Abominus recognized the words for what they truly were. Heck, it was raining and no one was around. No witnesses. Perfect.
All that remained was his response.
"You've given me no offer," Abominus spoke, as calm as a suburban breeze. "If you wish to stop giving me subtle comments, I wish to listen to whatever it is you're attempting to offer me. Otherwise..."
Abominus' right fist noticeably clenched.

RE: The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning: Path of Heroes
Roxanne Moore "Hourglass"
Basketball Court, Xavier Mansion
Roxanne realized she was really starting to hate those... things. They always created more questions than answering them. They? Perhaps they were one... like the holy trenity.
No... three orbs.
Yet, only one had spoken this time... only one had appeared.
And this time she had found herself... beyond the nothingness of time. Another planet, or even this one years from now.
"'Much to learn you have...'" Roxanne said aloud as her bear feet started to complain about the hard asfault beneith them. She slowly headed back into the mansion, deep in thought. "Don't we all!"
She didn't understand why these orbs were pushing her so hard to be perfect. Roxanne understood that her power could very well cause a lot of problems... but if they wanted her to be so perfect, then why didn't they just teach her? Roxanne was open to any help she could get! Memories slowly crept into her thoughts. The images of death and utter distruction began to haunt her. Was that her fault? Did she cause that? Did these... beings wish to prevent it... or to cause it!
Yes. What made these beings good? What if they were all knowing evil beings!
Roxanne stepped on a rather large pebble, the pain ran through her nerves and she cursed loudly. Picking her right foot up, she found the pebble had broken the skin and blood was starting to run to the heal of her foot. Putting her hand over it, Roxanne made time around the cut speed up, untill there was a nice scab over it. She knew she couldn't heal it all the way untill she cleansed it.
Looking back up, she realized she was standing outside the main doors to the mansion. They were open. Perhaps she hadn't closed it on her way out.
Then she remembered.
Sage had been fighting with someone when she had suddenly dissapeared.
The mansion must have been under an attack!
Roxanne's senses became quite sensitive as she slowly crept towards the door, afraid the place was in ruins beyond the ornate wooden doors. Her long legs gracefully, and quietly, lead her to the door frame. Her pale fingers ran over the wood as she took a step within the mansion walls, the cool floor sending chills up through her bare feet. A small breeze blew through the doors, blowing her red hair into her face.
The entryway looked fine. Nothing had happened here.
Quietly, she spoke. "Jocasta, is everything safe in the mansion?"
With all her heart, she wished it was.

RE: The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning: Path of Heroes
OOC: Weeee... Mega-update time again!
Karra
Restricted Wards, Xavier Mansion
It was very strange. Almost as suddenly as the maddness had started, it ended. The fighting had just...stopped. It was strange, Karra thought, as she watched the students blink and stand, as if suddenly just waking up.
Just before it had happened, she had heard alarms, and then suddenly the doors where the one called Mental had been in had buldged outwards, and then went flying. She moved to stop the doors before anyone was stuck by the massive flying bits of metal. She heard a scream, and saw a light so bright, that it instantly caused her vision to shift. It was if a sun had suddenly gone nova within the room. Karra felt a warm and calming sensation, that she recognized from before. It was the mutant known as Lazer, and whatever had happened within the room sounded brutal to her.
Seconds later, the light fadded. She gently set the doors down, and flew to peer into the room. She could see that Professor N'dare was also moving to check inside. She caught a quick image as if somthing was standing there, but it quickly dissapeared. Since Professor N'dare was on the scene, she moved away, as she began to check the other parts of the mansion to make sure that ALL of the fighting had come to an end, and if any other intruders were still within the mansion. She was using her other vision, as she had sworn she had sensed something eariler. But it looked like perhaps it was gone now. But she wanted to be sure.
She was glad that the fighting seemed to be ended for now. But, what else had happened during all that time? She asked Jocasta for an update in the status of the mansion, as she quickly flew about, checking. She quickly contacted John as well. "It looks like things have calmed back down to normal. Doing a quick check..." Karra stated simply, as she landed, and began walking about quickly, checking on the state of the mansion, and its students.

Professor N'dare
Restricted Wards, Xavier Mansion
So much had happened so quickly, that even N'dare had a time keeping up with events. He saw that Mental had quickly left the room, and that the doors behind him had suddenly closed. As N'dare checked his monitors, he saw something enter the room, whom he quickly recognized as NightFall. He was about to wonder if perhaps NightFall had fallen under the mysterious entities powers, when Lazer suddenly came from within the darkness of NightFalls cloak, blinding the area with light. He had to turn away, as the light she produced, was overloading the sensors. He quickly switched them, to protect them from the glare, as bits of light came streaming from the room. Something what sounded like an explosion, and tiny streams of light could be seen coming from tiny fissures from the room. When the monitors finally came back online, the room was empty, the doos having sustained heavy damage.
His comlink went active, with the many reports from all over the mansion. Then, he received another call. He grinned as he heard the voice of Hermes.
"~N'dare, what's your location? I need a hardware upgrade..."
he asked the man. N'dare's eyebrow went up, even as he wondered what Hermes could be up to. N'dare reponded to Hermes with a slight nod.
"Im in the Infirmary area. We have a lot of cleanup to do, but im sure I can help you. Meet me at my office. Give me ten." N'dare replied. He then stepped out, turining off his holo generator as he stepped out to help the others. He watched, as Mental reached out to the gurney he had been on eariler, which was crushed and mangled against the wall of what used to be his room. Mental forced the doors open again, and pulled the mangled mess from the room, contorting the flimsy metal into the rough shape of a Chair, which he sat upon.
It was a start. Mental had not used the opportunity to try to attack, or to run away. Considering something had just tried to attack him, it was something to take serious note of. N'dare might not fully trust him, but if nothing else, he had learned from Erik, was a bit of tollerance in such things. He knew that Xavier wished for Mental's eventual return. It might not be now, but at least there was a small start. And even N'dare would not leave such a person, to the fate that had been planed for him. N'dare walked over towards the young man, even as he allowed for the students to make their way to the main infirmary. he looked at Mental for a moment before he spoke.
"Thank you." he said quietly, as he nodded his head slightly. His long hair was loose now, and he gestured, moving it back hehind him. "I think you should follow me into the main infirmary." he added. He paused a moment, "There will be much to discuss, and prepare for." he then gave the man a nod, before he turned, and began coordinating moving the injured students into the infirmary, and checking on the status of the mansion. The forcefields were still in place, but they would allow for Mental's movement towards the Infirmarty.

Blink and Aurora
Infirmary, Xavier Mansion
Just as Blink spoke to Ogre, and Thera had walked in, Blink watched in amazement, as Jocasta activated a neural stuner, and knocked him unconscious. Blink was busy going 'wow!' even as Aurora had moved, keeping clear of the blast. Once Ogre fell, and turned back to Greg, she began to move.
Several med-bots were on hand to catch both Greg and Wei Chen. Both mutants needed immediate medical attention, which the med-bots began to provide at once. As for Greg, an inhibitor collar was placed around his neck, for security purposes. Aurora heard Jocasta speak to Thera..
["It is good to see you awake and in good health Thera."]
Jocasta said.
["Our teamwork remains as effective as ever."]
Aurora nodded to Thera as she began to help the others. Aurora grinned, as she now moved, asigining the incoming patients to other rooms, and making sure that reports were done for when Professor N'dare returned.
Blink also started moving patients to rooms, as injured were brought to the infirmary. Iori brought in Recoil even as med-bots were dispatched to retrieve unconcious students from where they lay. Even Jayson was brought in so the bots could attend to his burns. It would be little surprise if all the beds became filled this evening. For sure, Aurora and Blink would be very busy indeed. Blink was very glad that Jocasta had taken out Ogre. Whatever had happened within the school, must have been wild. He was sure they would be hearing stories for weeks about it. At least, they had managed to keep the Infirmary area somewhat safe. Blink gave a deep sigh. Sam would need a new room as well, Blink mused, looking at the monitors. He gave another deep sigh. Aurora gave him a nudge, as she quickly swept past him, getting various equipment and supplies out and ready. She blurred, almost going invisible, as she moved swiftly, getting the many rooms ready that were needed. N'dare would be a very busy man indeed. And so would they.

RE: The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning: Path of Heroes
NightFall and Lazer - Xavier Mansion, Restricted Wards
"Burn him, NOW!" NightFall had called to Lazer. And she understood immediately, as soon as NightFall had opened his cloak. The heavy darkness around them, the pure evil. She went supernova, determined to burn out every bit of darkness within the room, as she let both her light energy, and lightdaggers fly. She called on the very healing nature of her being, and of good in general, to help her defeat the thing within the room. Behind her, NightFall grinned as her light flooded the room. Her light was not harmful to him, in fact, he trived upon it. But he knew the feeling would not be mutual to the other being.
The dark voices shrieked in horror, as they tried to scurry frantically, yet futily to the any shadowed corner of the room. But there was none to be found. Lazer's light flooded everything in sight. She felt as if another presense was in the room as well, lending its presense to the battle as well. It strengethed her, as she poured everything she had towards the evil that engulfed the room.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"
, Lazer heard the scream from all around her. so she continued to pour out as much energy as she could, making sure that the darkness could find no place to hide.
NightFall was enjoying the show, watching as Lazer's light touched everything brightly. As her light and daggers touched him, he felt a change. No longer was the primal rage that had all but consumed him eariler could be felt. His anger left him, as he watched her pour her energies into the room. His calm returned, and the overpowering hunger he had felt eariler vanished. It was as if an she had gently brushed it all away, and he basked in the warming glow.
Wait.
She was putting out quite a bit of energy. Much more than she normally did. He could feel the strain as she worked extra hard, to burn out every bit of darkness and evil from the room. Lazer was determined not to stop until every bit of it was gone. As he moved up to her, they both heard a horrifying scream, and the Shadow exploded, sending pieces of vile darkness everywhich way, buckling the doors outward with the force of the explosion and creating cracks along the walls. NightFalls eyes widended as he watched, even he was impressed with the outcome of events, even as he felt his own anger leave him. Lazer still kept burining until she felt that all the pieces was gone. For NightFall's sake, more than anything. She had felt his reactions to that thing. She would not let it touch him again. She let her light flood into the cracks. She didnt want anyone to be touched by the darkness again. Once she was satisfied, her light dimmed until it was down to normal. She turned and looked at her partner, who was now behind her, reaching for her. She could see he was back to his normal self, as he even had a small smile on his face. She returned the smile, as she brushed a stray stand of hair from her eyes. She spoke softly,
"See, that wasnt so hard...."
NightFall caught her, as she fell unconscious. She had used quite a bit of energy, and would need to rest for a moment. Luckily, Lazer was always one to recover quite quickly. NightFall gave no more thought to the darkness that had been within the room, his only concern was for his partner. With a thought he wrapped his cape around the both of them and dissapeared, only to appear moments later within the room they had been sharing eariler.
NighFall gently laid Lazer on the bed, even as he himself shifted back to his normal attire. He gently looked down at her with a smile. She was sleeping peacefully. He chuckled softly, as he sat down next to her sleeping form.
"Not to shabby at all." he replied with a grin, as he reached out and gently stroked her cheek. He stood watch over her, as he thought of his own reactions to the thing in the room. It gave him much to ponder, as he looked over at Lazer. If it wasnt for her, he would probably an echo to the thing in the room. It made him greatful once more, for his partner. And it strengthed his resolve to always protect her. He curled up, next to her, appreciating this and many other thoughts, as he watched her sleep. He knew that Lazer would proabably be needed to help out with the aftermath, but right now, it was her time to rest, and rest she was going to.

IC: Wolf
Wolf looked down at the unconcious body of the kid who had been throwing what looked like lazers to him, and left a acrid after smell in his hyper sensitive nostrils. "The quick and the dead boy" he growled almost to himself as he turned to survey the scene, the sharp scent of agression was gone from the air as whatever must have been controlling the others was gone. Wolf stalked across the lawn towards the woman who had pulled Bad Boy and himself up earlier, His nose twitched slightly as he tested the air for the other peoples scents, they all told one story...confusion.
Wolf slid silently out of the shadows of the lawn to stand beside the woman "Mind explaining whats going on here?" he asked, his voice laced with mild irritation at what had just happened. "Im happy to drop anyone or anything" He said refering to the large boy who was being carried away with several broken bones "But i usually prefer to have a reason". He finished as his keen golden eyes swept the scene around them.

IC: Hermes
Hallway to Infirmary and N'dare's Office.
Amost instantly his ear piece rang with a reply.
"~I'm in the Infirmary area. We have a lot of cleanup to do, but I'm sure I can help you. Meet me at my office. Give me ten.~"
Hermes quickly adjusted his route, making for the office.
"~Time is of the essence, I want to get moving while it's still too dark to see...~" He commented, eluding to his plan of action. "~But A few minutes won't matter.~" He added, trying not to sound to bossy.
It was a matter of moments before he was in N'dare's office, seated and awaiting the man's arrival.

Restricted Ward
Mental watched, slightly amused, as the students and facilty scrambled to clean up a bit of the mess, and move towards the main infirmary. He too did his part, using his powers to set the two heavy doors, which had been laid on the floor, upright and leaning against the wall. Given more time, and an intimate knowledge of the doors workings, he might have been able to repair and re-install them, but lacking both he didn't bother.
He watched N'dare approach him, still hesitant. It radiated from his like the light had from the being before. He was gaining the man's trust, but not very quickly.
"Thank you."
N'dare spoke in a quiet voice, slightly nodding his head, though he might have been avoiding eye contact. His long hair was loose now, and he gestured, moving it back hehind him.
"I think you should follow me into the main infirmary."
he added, that was a step Mental hadn't seen comming. N'dare paused a moment,
"There will be much to discuss, and prepare for."
"Namly the registration act, and the large presence of outsiders surrounding the Mansion. I know." He looked around as he stood to follow the man. "Umm, Is Erik awake yet?"

"That's for you to know, and us to find out." He said softly as he walked over to pick up his knife. Who Is Thera?

RE: The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning: Path of Heroes
Lord Exodus
Genosha, Hammer bay, The Citadel
For sometime after the incident,
Lord Exodus
remained still. He employed the time to put things into proper perspective as he weighed the significance of that wish had transpired. His enemies were remarkably resilient, it seemed...for Xavier's band of
X-men
had somehow bested a dark agent sent to retrieve a captured commrade.
Make that ex-commrade.
Lord Exodus enlisted the mighty
Shadow King
as an ally on order to retrieve the now traitorous
Mental
. The intent had been for the Shadow King to spearhead a retrieval mission as the simultaneously dealt the Xavier's band of brats a blow they would not soon forget, but alas, sometimes the best plans went awry.
The mighty Genoshan Vice-Regent could monitor the situation while safely inside the 'Atlas Room'. He remained 'stealthfully' in contact with the Shadow King while he deal with the so-called heroes. But two unexpected elements had caused plans to change. The first, was Mental's 'change of heart', which disappointed Lord Exodus greatly. The young psionic was an able lieutenant and an excellent foot soldier. His turning was not completely unexpected, but instead, happened much soner than anticipated. Lord Exodus was more than well aware that the potential for betrayal was ever present. He'd hoped that Mental was not so foolish as to enact any such impulses. Mental's action had cost him a powerful ally; however, this was a set back, but one which he'd taken into account.
The other unexpected element was in the form of
Professor N'dare
.
The man was clearly one of the greatest assests in the Xavier camp, unlike the overblown John Storm II. He would have to be dealt with, since he now proved to be a true obstacle and perhaps an adversary of some worth. The true destroyers of the Shadow King's power were another matter altogether. A matter that deserved further examination.
As it was, there was much that needed his attention this evening, especially in the face of the so-called Mutant Registration Act: an obviously oppressive law the north-western non-mutant goverment was all too eager to unleash upon it's mutant population. The ramifications of such a controversial edict begged to be exploited.
With a centering sigh, Lord Exodus fell deeper into his 'psychic trance'. There was much to be accomplished still, and though certain battles were to be lost, such losses were acceptable and realistic, especially when trying to win a war.

Atomic Reaper, Mimic & Razor Angel
Citadel Lounge
Despite the momentary excitement brought on by
Esmeralda
and
Shifter's
arm-wrestling contest, life within the Citadel Lounge went on as normal...almost for all.
A clean-up crew of metallurgic mutants was called in to removed what remained of the shattered 'anvil', which was the metallic wrestling table Esmeralda used for her little contests. Several tables away, her small group of friends sat around their spectator's table, almost huddled. They talked amongst themselves in eager whispers, trying to decide what was the best course in their present situation.
"I can't remember the last time I saw her THAT teed-off, and I think I know her the longest..maybe."
Mimic
commented in hushed tones to the others.
"Well, I only heard of that one time she nearly beat this shape-shifting guy to death for going too far with his imitation of her. Didn't they say they had to get the
Abomination
to finally het her off him?"
Razor Angel
put in excitedly.
Atomic Reaper
shrugged in response.
"I dunno, I think I heard something like that, But I think this dude is DEAD meat if she finds him."
The young mutant peered out to see if anyone was listening to their converstation. Satisfied that no one was eavesdropping, he took a gulp of his beer, dipped his head back down and returned to the conversation.
"Esmeralda may be angry and a bit crazy, but she sure isn't suicidal. Especially after
Lord Exodus
reminder. She might break a few of his bones, maybe, but she can't kill him, even if she wanted to." Mimic said pointedly to the group, but her eyes were momentarily on 'Reaper'.
"I'd hate to be that guy..." Razor Angel said with a chuckle. "I don't know if he was brave, foolish or both, but he definitely got stones, hehehe."
"Not for long..." Mimic reprimanded as Razor and Reaper chuckled to themselves. Razor's slight praise of Shifter's bravado was not appreciated by her. "Should we go look for her?" she interjected after a moment, in an attempt to recover.
"Have you lost your mind?" Reaper said in an incredulous tone. "Well, maybe YOU can go looking for her, I think she'd rip the head of ANY guy clean off his shoulders."
"You're just being dramatic." Mimic countered.
"Perhaps..." Reaper answered with a smile.
Razor Angel rolled his eyes.
"Well, while you two go get a room, I'm gonna go for a walk..."
"Hey, wait a minnit..."
Razor Angel got up and waved good-bye without even looking back. Two's company and three is a crowd. He didn't need to be psychic to read what was going on.
From a table closer to one corner of the lively lounge, cold and calculating eyes observed the proceedings in silence.
Soon, very soon.

Shifter
Citadel, Acolyte Residential Area
It was truly a wonder what a moment of boldness could do for a person. As
Shifter
moved through various corridors, certain security staffers nodded knowingly at him, saluted, or just smirked in amusement. Perhaps it was nothing, but the feeling that it could be related to his earlier 'misadventure' also seemed likely. It didn't really matter though. He had done what no one else dared to do, and that could only gain him instantaneous recognition. Stealing a kiss from
Esmeralda
and simultaneously winning the arm wrestling contest was not a stunt pulled by a noob, nor was being the focus of her ill-will.
Regardless, Shifter had a plan, and so far it was going well enough.
As he ambled, the daring mutant became aware of a striking constant in the Citadel, if not all of Genosha. Most everyone he saw was a mutant of some kind. It was almost odd and simultaneously refreshing. Mutants were the majority here. From simple service workers to security guards and even local celebrities, the pervasive constant was the same. Here, mutants were everywhere, and here, mutants ran everything.
Other than that, everything else seemed pretty much the same....but just a bit more extraordinary.
"Is that a new face I see?" a nearby voice exclaimed. Shifter was walking by a curious photoshop.
"Can I interest you in a photo-op youngman?" said the man standing by the door. "You can take a picture with your favourite celebrity. It's affordable, so don't miss this opportunity."
Arrayed on the display window, were about two dozen picture frames with various genoshans posing with international celebrities. The man smiled proudly at his collection as he waited for Shifter's response.

Lilith Darque, Toga, Plaga
Midtown Manhattan, New York, Brotherhood Brownstone
The luminous doorway closed with a soft whisper of sound and light once all three femme fatales had passed through it. It seemed that 'Doorway' had finally mastered her ability to bridge the points between the Citadel and their New York Brownstone, for any disorienting effect were all but negligible, however,
Lilith
looked a bit unsettled, but only for a very brief moment. Her eyes stared in a northenly direction, but the moment did not last. She gracefully turned to face both
Toga
and
Plaga
and smiled at them easily, then motioned for them to follow.
The three ladies walked through the main floor of the well decorated Brownstone before making it to the foyer and finally to the front entrance. Lilith paused for a brief moment, then the doors opened for them. Outside, it was night, and their limousine waited for them. Silently, they glamorous trio were aboard and on their way to their destination.
"I'd like you to indulge yourselves tonight." Lilith said to them after they were well on their way. Her posture was gracious and relax, but her words did carry a bit of an edge to them. As usual, her smile was knowing.
The ride was not a long one. The evening traffic just made it seem that way. They had travelled to a new venue just below Colombus Circle. A venue that promised to be quite entretaining by the looks of it. The line of limousines idling to deliver their passengers to the main entrance was not unimpressive. There were several camera crews and paparazzi milling about. There was no waiting in line to enter the well hosted evening at the L'Imperial.
You simply had an invitation, or you did not.
From their vehicle window, the ladies could appreciate the diversity of this 'crowd'. They were all affluent, and they all desired to be hip and to be seen. Some more than others, from the looks of their reavealing and expensive attires. How hey loved to stand about the red carpet. With so many attractive attendants on hand, who could blame them.
Lilith simply smiled from the shadows of the backseat. Her pale skin almost seemed to be reflecting the moonlight glow. If there was something else going on, she was obviously not telling...at least not yet.
Be that as it may, the unseasonally fresh weather made this a fine night to shine.
And there was no doubt in her mind that shine they would.

Abominus
Deanville, Texas
"Are we done here?"
Abominus
had commented to the man's earlier entreaty, to which he respended:
"Only if I decide NOT to collect on the large bounty on your head... now that you so politely declined our generous offer."
The man in the suit could not help the cheshire grin that came over him. His posture was relaxed, but his facial features bespoke of a deep and subtle darkness not entirely unlike that of Abominus himself. There was no doubt that Abominus recognized the words for what they truly were. It was raining and no one was around.
All that remained was a response from Abominus, which was given without delay.
"You've given me no offer," Abominus spoke, as calm as a suburban breeze. "If you wish to stop giving me subtle comments, I wish to listen to whatever it is you're attempting to offer me. Otherwise..."
Abominus' right fist noticeably clenched.
The well dressed mutant regarded the white-eyed criminal with mixed expressions flowing so quickly over his face they seemed to blur it for a brief second. He finally setteled on recognition.
"Ah... very well." The man said with a simple nod.
"I am
Torque
. I'm sent as a messenger from the
Brotherhood of Mutants
. Our Regent pro tempore,
Lord Exodus
, has found you to be a suitable candidate for recruitment, hence my presence. He would like to extend an invitation for you to join our organization. The local authorities conspire to capture you and he would have your allegiance as compensation from sparing you from the fate that awaits you at their hands....what say you?"
Torque kept his expression diplomatically neutral after he'd delivered the message as directly as he knew possible and waited for Abominus to respond. Whatever opinion he'd formulated of the encounter so far, he kept to himself. Through it all he did appear deceptively relaxed.

RE: The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning: Path of Heroes
IC: Toga
Midtown Manhattan, New York, Brotherhood Brownstone
Upon entering the portal, no one spoke, only
Lilith
hinted for the two to follow her. They left the Brownstone, and saw a limosine waiting for the three.
Toga
glanced around her surroundings, hoping for no one to see her provocative attire.
They got in the limosine, which was a new experience for
Toga
, however the journey was not a long one. They approached a rather attractive building with a group of attractive people, some standing outside gathering attention from the photographing crowd surrounding them, some entering the building.
"I'd like you to indulge yourselves tonight."
Lilith spoke to
Toga
and
Plaga
.
"I'm quite positive you don't mean to eat all these people. I'm also sure you wouldn't plan on killing over a hundred people, all in public. Something's going on, Lilith." What was more of a serious and direct approach to
Lilith
, turned to a deep smile.
The limosine very slowly circled the front of the building, past the entrance towards where around 10 more limosines were, presumably for the crowd of people gathering attention.

Lera brightened. "Everyone's okay." she stated more than asked.
Her powers glowed and set the room ablaze. Everything was turning around. "I would like that very much Prfesser. I think they may be needing this room." Lera said.
If only one thing was certain in her life it was that she had a place here....and it was never boring.

RE: The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning: Path of Heroes
Professor N'dare, Aurora and Blink
His office, Infirmary, Xavier Mansion
N'dare was glad for those who he could rely on, when things became more than just simply hectic. The moment he made his way back into the infirmary, it was bedlam.
Hermes asked for his aid, and he quickly responded to the man. "I'm in the Infirmary area. We have a lot of cleanup to do, but I'm sure I can help you. Meet me at my office. Give me ten." Hermes quickly responded to him.
"Time is of the essence, I want to get moving while it's still too dark to see..." He commented, but then added.. "But A few minutes won't matter."
N'dare chuckled, as he could imagine what Hermes might have planned. N'dare then turned and walked over towards Mental. "I think you should follow me into the main infirmary." N'dare told the young man. N'dare paused a moment, "There will be much to discuss, and prepare for.
"Namly the registration act, and the large presence of outsiders surrounding the Mansion. I know."
He looked around as he stood to follow the man. N'dare nodded in agreement.
"Umm, Is Erik awake yet?"
N'dare turned, and gave Mental a small grin, even as pulled his hair back into a more dignified ponytail. "Im sure you probably know that better than I do....but I will let John answer that question for you, for I am quite needed in the Infirmary at the moment." N'dare replied, his icy blue eyes looking thoughtfully over the man for a moment. "And I could use your input..that is, if you dont mind."
Medbots, and assistant both, were busy zooming about madly, taking care of injured students and teachers alike. N'dare and mental crossed over to enter the main Infirmary. As they entered the main infirmary, N'dare was handed a chart showing all the updated movements, and issues concerning the Infirmary. John was here as well. He spoke softly, "Jocasta, let John know to meet me in my office, please." he spoke to the ever vigilent AI, as he and Mental headed straight to his office.
N'dare walked in, and saw Hermes, already seated at his desk, ready and waiting for him. N'dare chuckled slolwy, as he shook his head. "Well, I see you have your evening planned." he spoke to Hermes with a nod. He offered Mental a seat in his office. "Excuse me a moment." he said, as walked over to his desk, and picked up a notepad. He then moved over to the wall, and placed his palm against it. A doorway slid open. He spoke a few non-english words, and a droid, much larger than the ordinary medbots hovered out. N'dare gave a grin, as he turned back towards both men sitting in his office. He looked towards Hermes.
"Hermes, meet Thunder. Thunder, Hermes." N'dare's eyes held an amused expression. "Hermes, follow Thunder into the other room. Im sure that you can find...SOMTHING, of use in there. Thunder can help you find and explain whatever you might need. Give me a yell when you are finished."
N'dare then turned, and looked at Mental. "I do believe that we have some work to do." N'dare sent out several orders. He also sent a second request for Lazer's assistance, once she was back on her feet. He could use her help within the Infirmary.
Aurora and Blink watched the strange procession head for N'dare's office, but only offered a few datapads, as they continued their work. They were far too busy to wonder what was going on,with so much going on within the Infirmary. It was almost a non-stop stream. But they knew that they had to be ready for N'dare. For once he was ready to go, they would be even more busier than they were now.

Mathew Morsa (Wind Weapon)
Xavier Mansion, Front Gate
Wind Weapon saw the holographic female and nearly spit at it in disgust. He hated computers, mostly because they represtened everything he hated.Computers were technology, something you had to live without abandoned in the streets, but his parents probably had tons of technology where they lived.
Wind Weapon looked the other way from the hologram and said " Maybe, can you explode into a million pieces that I can then burn, tear up into more pieces and that can then be used to throw at cars that I don't like, if you can that would be great "
Wind Weapon almost grinned to himself at the coment. He was sure the hologram would disappear, just like he wanted.
But no such thing was about to occur. It was impossible for an A.I. to take offense.
["You have been categorized as a potentially hostile entity. For your own safety, do not proceed any further into the premises unless accompanied or authorized by an administrator. Failure to comply will result in activation of security protocols."]
It was clear that Wind Weapon had already turned a deaf ear to the Interactive A.I. for something else had captured his attention.
The young mutant heard something from the front lawn. He looked that way and saw a bunch of people looking like they were fighting.
Wind weapon grinned, Finally something interesting. He attempted to walk in that direction to get a closer view, but the Front Gates did not open for him. Though his progress was impeded, he could still observe the events that transpired on the mansion's Front Lawn.
He might not be in "The Survivors" now but he still observed they're rules. It was customary for gang members to observe fights, and find out how to turn them to their advantage.
Unbeknownst to the distracted mutant, the mansion was already on alert and his introductory speech did not put him in the side of the angels. What the newcomer would do next would determine much of what would befall him.

Wolf & Sage
Xavier Mansion, Front Lawn
Wolf slid silently out of the shadows of the lawn to stand beside the woman "Mind explaining whats going on here?" he asked, his voice laced with mild irritation at what had just happened. "Im happy to drop anyone or anything" He said refering to the large boy who was being carried away with several broken bones "But i usually prefer to have a reason". He finished as his keen golden eyes swept the scene around them.
Sage
did not answer the Feral Mutant immediately, as she was in the process of lowering her 'armour'. The glowing armour gradually faded, as did the brilliant sword, but even as Sage turned to face Wolf, it was clear that she was still very much alert.
"Thank you for showing some restraint and not hurting him too badly." Sage said, glancing over at Bo as his unconcious form was carried away. "Unfortunatelly, many of the new students were easy prey to the type of psychic attack we just suffered.
Erik
would be the one to usually shield us, but...."
The Raven haired educator removed a lock of hair from her face.
"The threat has been dealt with. Now those like Bo, can be attended to in the infirmary. I do believe the Mansion will remain under alert for the rest of the evening. I encourage you to stay the night. These are uncertain times."
Sage looked over her shoulder and towards the mansion's treeline. Her eyes narrowed for a brief moment.
"Hmm...." Sage mused as she looked back at Wolf. "We can never have too many combat instructors. Why don't you think about it. We could benefir from someone with your skills."
It was clear that Sage was not only refering to Wolf's combat skills alone.
"I need to run a security check of the grounds. If you are uninjured and wish to assist, please remain here and look after things. Otherwise, do report to the infirmary for a check up."
Sage gave wolf a knowing smirk. "I can see that you're made of sterner stuff, so just consider the check up as a favour to me."
Even as she said this, Sage looked towards the Mansion's Front Gates. She'd just received word of a developing situation that may just require her attention.

Roxanne Moore "Hourglass"
Basketball Court, Xavier Mansion
Roxanne's
senses became quite sensitive as she slowly crept towards the door, afraid the place was in ruins beyond the ornate wooden doors.
Jocasta
, is everything safe in the mansion?"
Even as she said this and got closer, Roxanne probably noticed the security force-fields that were activated.
As usual, Jocasta answered promptly.
["Welcome Back, Roxanne. The threat to the Mansion has been neutralized, however, we remain under alert status. You are cleared to proceed to all authorized areas."]
Not too far from her position, Roxanne could see med-bots carrying unconcious students into the mansion, as well as others, such as Sage, Wolf, Bad Boy, and even the still possesed Alice, still about, but no longer on hostile mode.
It seemed that Roxanned had missed all the fireworks.

Eagle's Breath
Xavier Mansion, Front Lawn
After landing softly on the turf next to
AngelFire
, he turned as the large winged one asked "Who's
Lera
?"
"That's for you to know, and us to find out." He said softly as he walked over to pick up his knife. "After all he who asks the question is already as close to a true answer as he who he asks," Turning slightly he called out to the night air to the mansions AI, "Good evening Silver Lady of the Mansion, Jocasta if we may entreat your services as to an answer to the question posed of Who Is Lera? and the entailing information of a brief history of her and relations to either AngelFire or myself and status as friend, aqueintance or complete stranger or enemy of the grounds. Thank you very much for any aid you could assist in this search."
[" I shall comply."] was the silver lady's response.
["
Lera Jay Devaux
has been a student at the Xavier Institute for nearly two years. She is a friend and an ally."]
AngelFire looked up at the floating silver Icon and nodded.
"Please forward my thanks. Her thoughts on friends and family were....sobering."
With that, AngelFire gave a simple nod to Eagle's Breath before turning and proceeding towards the Mansion.

RE: The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning: Path of Heroes
IC: Mental
Infirmary
Mental grimaced at the man's answer. Either N'dare was avoiding answering the question, or the mutant knew little about Psychics. Erik was hidding his presence, maybe even blocking Mental out, so he was as in the dark as any outsider as to the mutant's condition. He hoped that Erik was awake, because he would be influential in the days to come, he glanced at a clock on the wall and suddenly revised his apraisal. Erik would be influencial in the HOURS to come.
He continued following N'dare, into the mutant's office. Another man was there, dressed in a wardrobe clearly made to help the beings already stealthy attributes more effective. He knew that this mutant, Hermes, and the look he gave Mental made him seem like the Devil he'd always been seen as by outsiders. Anger, rage, and other evil emotions rolled off of the blue devil like water rolls across the bow of a boat.
N'dare quickly sent him out of the room with a droid of some sort, and again the two were left alone.
"I do believe we have some work to do..."
"Yes, yes..." He paused, the emotions outside of the school grounds growing more intense. Fear and anticipation abounded. "...Yes, I fear we do have a good bit of work to do. There are things to come. Soon. Things that we will need our full strength for." He closed his eyes for a moment, and opened them again. "Wouldn't have any clairvoyants would you?" He said with a slight grin. "I'd really like to know if I make it through the next few days..."

IC: Hermes
N'dare's Office
Everyone has a past. Some people like their's, others regret it...
N'dare opened the door, and entered, a familiar face at his side. The traitor. He shot the man a look that could have killed an elephant, and thought of how easy it would be to crack his skull, to break his neck. So easy to destroy the man that tried so hard to destroy everything he loved.
Never give in. What is past is past. Work in the present, work in life, not death.
N'dare spoke a few words which he didn't catch. Most likely in the man's own language, which Hermes, had he heard, could have easily translated. It didn't matter anyway.
Hermes, meet Thunder. Thunder, Hermes." N'dare's eyes held an amused expression. "Hermes, follow Thunder into the other room. Im sure that you can find...SOMTHING, of use in there. Thunder can help you find and explain whatever you might need. Give me a yell when you are finished."
Hermes nodded, Follwing the robot into an adjoining room, stocked with gadgets, doo-dads, and what ever other term for technology you wanted to use.
"Ok there, Thunder." He felt wierd adressing a robot, but then reconsidered, as he usually adresses Jocasta like a person. He held his hand out, and a marble sided peice of metal grew into a full sized steel helmet, colored to match himself, but rather than being a skull with wings, it was a skull with demonic horns. If someone were to ask, it was a suvienere from his circus days. Atleast that's what he told people. "I need this set up with Night Vision, Infra-red, X-Ray, MRI, what ever you have as well as a video uplink to the mansion and a recorder. What can you do?"

Wolf flashed a grin at the formidable educator, his elongated canine's glinting in the moonlight "Yeah...i guess i can have a sniff around". With that he turned and ran his gaze over the activity that was taking up the front lawn, his eyes, unimpeded by the dark saw that here at least there were no problems for now.
30 seconds later he was stalking through the undergrowth of the mansion gardens, his shadowy movements leaving no trace of his passing as he made his way along the outer walls, all his senses stretching out. He stopped as he smelt a presence, his keep hearing picking out a terse replay and what sounded like static
Spooks
he thought wryly, it was the fifth time he had come across government agents in the area around the mansion
I didnt think this place could be THAT bloody interesting
the thought with a smirk.
He bunched his legs under himself and leapt, landing silently on the branches two meters above where he had been standing. He made his way towards the gate, a shadow among shadows, he had noted Sage's glance and was curious as to what was going on
Cant hurt to have a goosie
he thought as he came to rest on a branch with a view over the gate, He could see a kid there and Sage approaching in the distance.
Just see whats up then have alook around the other side of this big bloody front yard
he thought
Cant blame me for being curious...just checking security
if anyone could have seen into the shadows of the trees they would have noted the wide grin that split his features.
