Our Regent pro tempore, Lord Exodus, has found you to be a suitable candidate for recruitment, hence my presence. He would like to extend an invitation for you to join our organization. The local authorities conspire to capture you and he would have your allegiance as compensation from sparing you from the fate that awaits you at their hands... what say you?" Abominus thought for a moment. The man's words did have some merit, though they weren't at all anything he hadn't known before. "I will not be used as a tool," he demanded. "I'm not a babysitter. If I am to join this Brotherhood you speak of, it would be in your best interest, as well as your leader's, to keep these things in mind. Are we clear?" Abominus' visage remained stoic. This was quite possibly the most significant emotionless conversation he'd ever had. 	Professor N'dare N'dare's office - Infirmary, Xavier Mansion The look that Hermes gave Mental did not esscape N'dare's notice. He simply did not comment on it. It was something that N'dare was not suprised to see. But he would at least hope that the Instructors werent quite so blatant. It would be hard enough, dealing with what was going on around them. It was also evident that Mental didnt like his response, as he noticed the man's grimance. In truth, he hand not had a chance yet, to check on Erik's condition. He was not critical, or else he would know that...so he could only hope that the man was well. When Erik was ready, he would let them know. N'dare spoke with Mental, once he had taken care of Hermes request. "I do believe we have some work to do." "Yes, yes..." Mental paused, before he spoke. "Yes, I fear we do have a good bit of work to do. There are things to come. Soon. Things that we will need our full strength for." He closed his eyes for a moment, and opened them again. "Wouldn't have any clairvoyants would you?" He said with a slight grin. "I'd really like to know if I make it through the next few days." N'dare gave a sligh grin, as he sat on the edge of his desk. "Well, Im sure you're old companions, might try to have their say in things, but Im more concerned about the Mutant act, and the folks waiting outside the school." N'dare gave a nod, as his smile faded. "And I dont believe in losing anyone. You'll make it. We all will. I dont need a clairvoyant for that." N'dare sat at his desk, giving a deep sigh. "When Erik is ready for us, he'll let us know. Until then, we will do what is necessary to safeguard the school and everyone inside." N'dare pushed a small button. "We need a staff meeting, as soon as possible." he spoke aloud, speaking to Jocasta. He then looked back at Mental. "Is there anything you know about what they might be planning?" N'dare leaned back in his seat. "Im being rude. Is there anything you'd like to eat or drink while we're talking? After your bit of excitement, you might be up to eating something." N'dare stood up, and walked over towards a small console. His hands quickly flew over some controls. Opening the door, he pulled out a cup of hot coffee, the aroma quickly filling the room. With a content sigh, he sat back down at his desk. Tag: Mental, greyjedi THUNDER N'dare's Office THUNDER turned, and floated out, his scanners looking over the occupants of the room. He listened as N'dare spoke. "Hermes, meet Thunder. Thunder, Hermes." N'dare's eyes held an amused expression. "Hermes, follow Thunder into the other room. Im sure that you can find...SOMTHING, of use in there. Thunder can help you find and explain whatever you might need. Give me a yell when you are finished." With a acknowledged bleep, THUNDER turned, and floated into the stockroom. He slowly turned to face the one known as Hermes. "Ok there, Thunder." Hermes began as he held his hand out, and a marble sided peice of metal grew into a full sized steel helmet, colored to match himself, but rather than being a skull with wings, it was a skull with demonic horns. "I need this set up with Night Vision, Infra-red, X-Ray, MRI, what ever you have as well as a video uplink to the mansion and a recorder. What can you do?" With a quick flick of one of its appentages, Thunder reached out and took hold of the helmet. A deep male voice, rumbled: "NightVision, Infra-red, X-Ray, MRI Imiaging. Helmet is of limited size, but advance audio enhancement, and video/recorder feed uplink can be established with minimum disruption of sizing enhancements... THUNDER spun around to look at Hermes. "One moment." he intoned, his senor eyes scanned over Hermes, before he floated over towards a work desk. With a sudden burst of spead, THUDER began to move, various other arms shot out from hidden places, reaching for equipment, and tools as he worked. His pace was maddening, and hard to keep up with, even with enhanced senses. The helmet was turned, flipped, scanned, re-scaned, as various tools whipped by at an excellerated pace. After a few moments, THUNDER turned back towards Hermes, holding the helmet, as he brought it back to Hermes. "I can do much." THUNDER responded, as he handed Hermes back the helmet. "To activate the device, simply think what device it is you wish to employ, and it will be activated." THUNDER handed the helmet back to Hermes, and then gently floated to the center of the room, lights blinking. 	Lazer and NightFall - Infirmary, Xavier Mansion NightFall laid silenty next to Lazer, as he watched her sleep. Soon, she began to stir. She would be awake soon. A soft bleep, and NightFall noticed a message from the Infirmary, and Professor N'dare. A second message. He grinned, as he had no doubt that his partners healing abilities were going to be in strong demand. But first, he was going to make sure that she had gotten her rest, before she was called back to duty. He watched her sleep. She looked so peaceful. Considering what had just happened in the room below. Suddenly, he heard a soft laugh, and felt as her hand gently touched his hand. "Hello there, talk dark and handsome. Have I been asleep for long?" she asked softly, as she opened her eyes, and turned to look at her partner. He looked so much better now. Not the dark and scary image he had seen before. But more like himself. Well rested. She looked up, and gently touched his cheek. NightFall graced her with a seldom seen smile. "No, not long." he answered, his eyes shinning as he gave her a chuckle. The warmth of her hand against his cheek was accepted, even as he reached up, and touched her hand. "How are you feeling?" Lazer slowly sat up. "Like I could eat for a week, and have been running. And you KNOW how much I hate running." she stated with a grin, sticking out her tounge. NightFall laughed darkly. "I know...." he chuckled. He gave her a long sigh. He knew that she was needed, but he rather would stay here with her. She knew the tone of his, as she looked up, and asked. "Ok..whats wrong?" NightFall scowled slightly, as he reluctant responded. "Professor N'dare has been paging you. Your presence is requested in the Infirmary. Seems like the good doctor has his hands full." he stated, speaking tight lipped. Lazer looked up at him, and simply smiled. "Oh..dont be like that. Im fine now. I have someone who looks over me..." she said, giving him a strong hug. NightFall was glad for the fact his face was hidden, as he felt his cheeks warm slightly. She let him go, and held out her hand. "Lets go. The sooner we finish this..." NightFall was quick to reply, "...the sooner we can get out of this madhouse, and go home." He stood up. "As you wish, M'lady.." As his cloak swirled around the both of them and they dissapeared from their room. He brought them to the front doors of the Infirmary, as he felt that suddenly appearing in front of it, might startle a few students. Together, they walked into the room. The one called Blink looked over as they walked into the room. "How can we help?" Lazer asked, as she looked around. The place sure was busy. "Where is Professor N'dare?" she asked. 	Aurora Infirmary Aurora is passing my the main area as Lazer and NightFall come in, asking for the professor. She is about to respond, when the one called Eagle's Breath, walks in. He looked around as though lost before asking, "Might anyone have a small knife or tweeser, I seem to have a few extra bits of life in my left hand.." Aurora's faced flushed bright red, and she held a giggle for a moment, as she tried to decipher what he ment. Chocking down her giggles, she walked forward. "Welll...we do have some tweesers over here. If you would just follow me.." Aurora walked over, and headed for a tiny office. She pulled open a drawer, and withdrew a tweeser. She also pulled out a bit of alcohol. "There you are." she stated, as she watched, waiting to see what he ment by "bits of life.." 	IC: Eagle's Breath A woman stopped for amoment before leading him into a back room and handing him a pair of tweesers. Carefully sitting down he pulled out his knife pouring some of the alchohol onto the blade before cutting three small grooves into his skin. Then setting is knife aside, he took the tweesers and began wiggling it around eventually pulling out a good sized piece of green wood. Setting the pieces aside he looked up to see the that the woman was still present. "If you plant and water you could grow three trees from these, but do you have any healing strips I could apply?" 	Jocasta Xavier Manison, Front Gates The security feed picked up every single gesture and nuance exhibited by the young mutant at the gate. "SHUT UP YOU 2-BIT SECURITY CAMERA WANNA-BE" Wind Weapon yelled at the top of his lungs. Wind Weapon had had just about enough of the holo-graphic female. "You want me to obey you,fine, prove to me that your better than that security camera in the gas station convience store down the street, and I MIGHT pay more attention to your stupid threats." Wind weapon told the holographic A.I. Jocasta continued monitoring an assessing the young mutant. She had no doubts that a psychological assessment of the subject would prove rather intriguing. As it was, the gates remained shut, and Wind Weapon only asserted himself as a 'possible threat'. He seemed to quiet down as he continued to watch the conclusion of the front lawn encounter. "Boring, ugh, can't even get a good view with this dang gate blocking my way." Wind weapon said. What happened next changed his security status in a nano-second. Wind weapon conjured all the wind he could possibly get and threw it against the gate, which rattled against the onslaught of his gusty wind blast, but dutifully remained. The image of Jocasta faded away, even as solid panels of dark metal clanged across the entire face of the gate, completely shutting out Wind Weapon from coming through in that direction. Two Red lights came on at each end of the gates. A low hum could be heard as well. There were no more words from Jocasta to Wind Weapon for her communication was now for others, such as Karra, Hermes, John, Professor N'dare and Sage. She filled them in on the situation concerning the gusty newcomer, as well as another undetermined unknown roaming the grounds. An continuing update message was sent to the security team. ["Front gate phase one security protocols enacted. Activating phase two. Launch upon authorization, or within pre-progammed elapsed time".] Elsewhere, Jeji remained undisturbed, at least for now, and until his intentions were more apparent. The same was not true for Wind Weapon. 	Karra Main gates, Xavier Mansion Karra was still very much ramped up, after the last attack on the school. With all the other main teachers so busy tending too the other students, she took it on herself, to start roaming the school grounds, checking to make sure that indeed all fighting had stopped, and those who might need any help, would get it. It was annoying fighting enemies, that cheated. Still, Karra was greatful, that the outcome wasnt any worse. She walked quickly about, and in some areas, she flew when nobody could see her. She needed the breather. Suddenly, she receives a message. She is suprised that it comes from Jocasta. [Possible Hostile] Jocasta then plays the whole interaction with some young man at the gate. Karra quickly notices that the Neuro Blasters are triggered. Those are only triggered, if he had attacked something on the mansion grounds. She also filled them in on the situation concerning the gusty newcomer, as well as another undetermined unknown roaming the grounds. The others were far too busy. Karra took off running. "IM ON IT!" she replied to Jocasta, as she took off, now flying. Karra flew with lighting speed, until she reached the outside area. She landed, and then smoothed out her clothing. The first person she headed for was the person being hostile on the gate. Karra walked out calmly, smoothing down her hair, until she saw the man, standing on the other side of the gates. She noticed the other young man, not too far away, seemingly, just looking at the now empty areas of the mansion grounds. That guy looked really young. Barely in his teens, dressed in sweats and a tee. Karra flipped back her multi-color hair. Not too shabby. Then she looked at the guy who set off the alarms. Also very young. Long black coat. Black clothing. Tall. Humph. Wanna be goth. Not impressed. The gates were blinking red, by the time Karra reached them. Not a good thing. Suddenly, she heard the kid dressed in black yell out. "COME OUT HERE YOU HOLOGRAM, FIGHT ME TO THE DEATH I'D RATHER DIE NOW....." he cried out. A pause. "DO YOU HEAR ME" He called out. Karra looked at him confused. Not like he could actually fight Jocasta. Was this kid, or bluster...or just scared? The kid just sat in the corner staring at the other side of the wall. Karra coughed softly, as she made her way to the gate, and then stopped. "Welcome to the The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. I suggest that you step back from the main gate, as you have set off the security settings." She then gave them both a pleasant smile. "How can I help you?" She turned, and looked at the boy in black, sitting on the ground. "And believe me, Im no hologram. Are you looking to enroll, or just looking for trouble?" She watied for them to respond. TAG:WindWeapon, Jeji, and GreyJedi Aurora Infirmary, small ward, Xavier Mansion Aurora watched with some curiosity, as Eagle's Breath went into the small room, and then carefully pulled out several splinters from his hand. 'OOooooooooh' she murmored softly to herself, as she gathered what he ment about having pieces of life in his hand. He certainly had an odd way of phrasing it. She watched as he set the pieces aside he looked at her. "If you plant and water you could grow three trees from these, but do you have any healing strips I could apply?" Aurora gave the man a smile. "I sure do. As a matter of fact, the Professor just made these up a few days back. Heals small stuff very quickly." she said smiling, as she handed him 4 small flesh colored strips. "There you go. They will keep the wound clean as well." She then waved. "Well, I have some other patiens to take care of. Take care." With a sideways stepped, she turned into a rainbow of colors and dissapeared from the room... ...only to re-appear a moment later, welll down the hallway, carrying supplies, as she moved to the next room. The boy stopped, narrowed his eyes and said angrily "Former gang custom, I can't change everything just because they aban.....whatever, yeah I'm here to enroll or at least my parents sent me here to". Wind Weapon said. "And I suggest you repair that little walking security cam of yours, its annoying, course all technology is......... Karra simply nodded. She knew this attitude before. She dropped the smile, and then walked closer to the gate. "Around here, you mess with our stuff..it fights back. If didnt come out, you'd be on your butt right now. Suggest you remember that."
