Le Magnifique
As Kate
Kate sighed in exasperation. "Mr. Moore, if you're quite done senselessly abusing the prisoners, I do believe the Captain gave us orders to inspect the cargo."
Kate sheathed her sword, but kept her hand on it, ready to pull it out at a moment's notice. Who knew if there were still Frenchmen beneath the deck, lying in wait?
She stalked off towards the stairs, and began to descend into Le Magnifique's bowels.

IC: Robert Moore
Le Magnifique
Robert put away his own blade with a metal sigh and followed the woman, sighing himself. He pulled his pistol out, in what he believed to be the same reason that Kate had her hand on her sword.
“I wasn’t senselessly abusing. The French fool wouldn’t surrender.”

IC: Turtle, Cotton, Cotton's parrot
Cotton had run to grab a rifle and headed across the plank on to the French ship. Following Barbossa's orders, he and Turtle escorted some of the captured Frenchmen back on to the Black Dagger.
When one of the captives turned his head to speak, Cotton nudged the barrel of his rifle into his back, pushing him forward. "Shut up and get moving. RAWWK! Get moving," the parrot squawked as it sat on Cotton's shoulder.

First Mate Maccus
Captains Quarters, Frigate
"Dey're obviously not de ones we're lookin' fer," Clanker said with a toothy grin. He was immensly enjoying watching the two captains stutter and crawl back away from them. "Nay a few shades tew light."
"Aye," Maccus replied. "But dey may kno' sometin'." The hammerhead shark turned to the man that looked like he would know something more than his colleague would. "Tell us, do ye kno' of any ships in dis here port wit' spanish colors or seen any lately out on de sea? Speak truthfully an' we may let ye live."

Hadras & Angler
The Flying Dutchman
The two cursed sailors came out of the sterncastle of the ghost ship, carrying in their arms a couple rolled up maps and a logbook. The conk head sailor chuckled excitedly as the two made their way toward the captain's cabin to give him what they had pilfered from the Dutch frigate. They did not know whether it was going to be useful or not. Angler, who's hands were more free than Hadras, knocked on the captain's door.

There, some of them came back. Dunno if what they got is gonna tell us a thing. *shrugs*

Henry Page
Le Magnifique
Henry grumbled at Moore's response. Blunt and to the point, much like the man himself. Without breaking stride, a prisoner ahead of him, he spoke up.
"You point a pistol at them, they'll surrender. Besides," he said, prodding a Frenchman forwards, "we're all men of the sea - except for Kate, who's a woman - so there's no reason we can't be civil about this."
Across the gangplank went the man, and down into the brig. Surfacing again, Henry continued the conversation. "No one, least of all me, enjoys a boot to the face."

IC: Robert Moore
Le Magnifique
Robert had taken a few moments under the deck to make sure that the cargo was in presentable conditions and had returned to above deck. He had begun to notice how much the ship was unlike their own. The sacrifices a pirate must make, he thought. Robert directed a question at Page. The man was, in fact, very civil.
“To each his own, but I simply don't recall civil behavior to be required for a position in the captain's crew.”
Robert had put his pistol away and had both hands on the ship’s railing. He glanced up and spoke a quick contradiction.
“It was more of a knee than a boot, anyway.”

Pirates Arc
IC: The Port Side of the Ship
Location: Right over on that Port Side
The blue waters of the Atlantic flowed around the side of the Black Dagger, lapping up lazily against its side. The flat blue expanse of the ocean was truely engulfing, with not a sight to be seen breaking the horizon. To the South, storm clouds were amassing, dark and menacing. The wind was blowing against them though, so as far as one could tell, the storm was not coming towards the Dagger.
TAG: Ktala
IC: Prisoner Walk
Location: The Black Dagger
The prisoner transport seemed to be going all right as the line of Frenchmen proceeded over, onto the Dagger and into its bowels towards the brig. Cotton "welcomed" them on the ship, standing by the gangplank, while Page moved them in to the prison. About three-quarters of the way through, there was a commotion in the prison-lines. One Frenchman was down on the floor, face stained with tears, rocking and holding his ankle like it was his only tether to life.
TAG: Prison Boys, Dubya and Peng
IC: Below Decks
Location: The Magnifique
The hold of the Magnifique was rather spacious, much more than that of the Dagger. This was expected for a merchant ship though. Boxes filled their sight, most very large, and having at least one box stacked up. Most were rigged to prevent sliding, but a few had broken free during the battle.
It would be up to the Pirates in the cargo hold to take inventory of what was all down there...

Jones Arc
IC: The Dutch Pirates
Location: Their Ship
The Dutchmen gulped hard as the monstrous Maccus asked about information for the Spanish fleet...
"Sp, spanish?" the man said. He looked at his fellow Pirate for answers. The other man spoke from the floor.
"Aye, we saw a Spanish fleet." he said, breathing hard. "They bl, blllew past here with hardly a wah wah word or a stop. Seemed in quite a buh buit of a hurry. Southbound, with the wind they were. And making guh, good time."
The men, nervously awaited their fate.

The ugly Scotsman walked over to the Frenchmen who was down on the floor. "Come on. What's yer problem?" Turtle reached down, grabbed the man by the collar and pulled him to his feet. "What's goin' on?"

IC: Robert Moore
Le Magnifique, Below Decks
Robert scowled and realized he was supposed to be cataloguing the cargo. He waved his hand at Henry and rolled his eyes. Robert proceeded to walk back down to the lower levels. Past the crew level, to the higher cargo space. The one with furniture. He glanced around. Robert found a ledger and glanced at it. He looked up and then walked around the room.
He didn’t see Kate, so he checked off the items using a quill and inkwell. Routinely he would dip the feather back into the ink and then move back to where he was.

Pirates Arc
IC: Injured Frenchman
Location: The Deck of the Black Dagger
As Turtle pulled the Frenchman to his feet, he gave a mighty scream and fell back the the floor again, his body collapsing under him. His face was wrought with agony, and a few Frenchmen gathered around him. If Turtle was observant, he would have noticed that ankles usually didn't bend the way they the injured Frenchman's did.
TAG: Dubya
IC: The Hold of the Le Magnifique
Location: Le Magnifique
As Robert Moore opened up one of the large boxes, he noticed something under one of the handmade chairs. It looked like a smaller box, and it had a stern-looking lock on it.

OOC: Is the lock sticking out, in which case I could knock it open or does it need a key?
IC: Robert Moore
Hold of the Le Magnifique
Robert noticed the box out the corner of his eye. He stared at it. It was the only thing in the hold with a lock. Robert picked it up. He felt the lock with sweaty hands. The box was strange. It had carvings and drawings on it. Robert put held it up and put it under the light. He stared at it.

Le Magnifique
As Kate
Kate noticed Moore walking off towards the furniture and therefore headed off towards the crates and barrels, to what looked like the foodstuff. Rats scurried around in frantic, mindless panic and she wrinkled her nose. Hopefully most of the foodstuff was still edible, and mayhap there would be some good ale lying around...
She took out a small sliver of coal and a strip of parchment and began to note what was in stock. She took care to inspect each crate, barrel, and sack and noted also what was rancid and what was still good. She only hoped her sense of smell could survive this assault on her poor nose.

IC: Turtle
The Frenchman screamed and slipped out of his grasp. The man collapsed back on to the floor.
"What the hell...?" Turtle then noticed that the Frenchman's ankle was turned the wrong way. "What happened?" He looked around at all the other Frenchmen standing around. "Do any of ya speak English?"
