Reynar_Tedros posted: The PS3 is easily the superior system. The 360 has easily the superior library.
And considering Sony sold nearly just as much consoles in their first year as Microsoft did in theirs, I don't think the PS3 is waaay behind like you say. I think Microsoft will lose this console war considering how much the PS3 has going for it. People are going to buy the system eventually. Me and everyone I know will eventually own a PS3.

PS3 is getting eerily close to 360 now. It's really challenging my cynicism. The DualShock3 is either out or on its way, correcting one of my major beefs with the PS3. MGS4 is almost ready to start saving the console from a software point of view. And, with the dropping of HD DVD, Blu-Ray actually does matter, somewhat, as it gives the PS3 a much clearer edge in the non-game media department than they had before.
If I didn't live my life surrounded by MGS fanboys, I might be able to maintain my undiluted Xbox fanboyism, but between this and my failed pre-owned Xbox, I think I may need to just get out of it entirely and pick up a Wii over the summer. It's the only way to survive the fire and brimstone inherent in a console debate this summer. Plus, Mario Kart Wii plays surprisingly well.

I went into a Sony Store once, and I felt so...weird.
I think what matters to me now is good games. The Xbox 360 has good games, therefore, I will play it. I've told Reynar this before: I'm not the video game police.

If such a force had the authority to fine the producers of crappy games and jail the parents/politicians/lawyers who try to blame games for youth violence, it would probably be a good thing for the Game Police to actually exist

I'd rather see the Music Police take care of Kenny Loggins and Fred Durst before they start the Game Police.

NO!
Do NOT buy a Wii. Do NOT let Nintendo and their hordes of soccer mom fans devour you with their "but it's fun!" attitudes. Do NOT supply ink for Nintendo's money printers.
I caved. I'll admit, they got me with that propaganda bull ****. The Wii is a cheap machine that provides fun for a couple of weeks, and then it becomes your favorite dust collector. It has no lasting value whatsoever, and with the recent release of Mario Kart Wii, has nothing more going for it.
Don't make the same mistake I did, Sephy. Don't do it.

Wii is actually kinda tight, and there's enough games right now that you can enjoy yourself quite a bit. Just as long as you're not that serious of a gamer. If you blow through titles on a fairly regular basis, 360 is the only way to go.

Roommates for the next three years will have at least one 360. Best friend has a PS3. I've got my bases covered except in the Wii department. Between Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, TFU Wii, OkamWii, Mario Kart Wii, Ghostbusters and TFU with multiplayer options, Gamecube backwards compatibility, and the Virtual Console, I think the Wii is probably gonna keep me entertained for a while.
Although, after watching that Mirror's Edge video at least 16 times over the past two days, I'd happily shell out whatever price they were asking if a console consistently got me that excited over its games.
On the subject of games I'm excited about. starcraft2.com needs to update and deliver a real update (none of this "Story So Far bull****) ASAP or I might have to arm myself, take a road trip to Acti-zard's HQ and make them update at gunpoint. I know, I should expect this sort of thing from Blizzard, but the time between weekly updates shouldn't be going on a month....
