The cold, icy wind howled as light, fluffy snow fell on the plush ground of Mt. Fuji. The surrounding Sakura trees where a pearl white due to the constant snowfall atop the mountain. The roof top of the hidden temple was also littered with snow, allowing it to blend in well with its surroundings. Inside the temple were large, pink bonsai trees, as well as thousands tea lights which were the main source of light inside the temple. At the center of temple, was the "Black Mamba" as she was commonly referred to, sitting down in standard meditation form. She wore a customary, white Japanese robe, and slowly sipped a warm cup of green tea as she waited the arrival of her allies. Her Katana lay sheathed next to her, its black, glossy scabbard shinning brightly due to the large amount of light being given off by the candles. Now she would have to test her little patience as she waited for the arrival of her allies. Her first choice was Balthier, a near human sentient who was known for his skills of stealth and thievery. He provided several skills to the League that would be imperative to its success. Another member recruited by the Black Mamba, was Collosus, a mutant of pure strength and stamina. He was able to transform himself into steel and metal, filling in the brute force part of the league. The Prince of Persia, a warrior unlike many, had many powers that would certainly give the League an edge such as the ability to manipulate time. Their last member is the Master Cheif, a solder recommended by the U.S. government for his extreme skill with modern weapons. His skill with explosives and modern day weapons would give the League contrast from that of the Black Mamba's skill with the Katana. Now the strategy part of the League would be taken care of by Black Mamba. She would use her cunning, skills of manipulation, and her surprising skill of intimidation to get around any corners that brute force could not handle. The Black Mamba had already sent the location of the temple to the other members of the League, meaning that they should arrive promptly. She was anxious to see in what state the other members would be in, and what they would truly be like. She had never met any of them in person, instead she sent her servants to do any negotiating that had to be done.
The airship hovered above the snowy peak, as two shadowed figures stood at the bridge, eyeing the area below with disdain. The larger figure, clearly female, twitched her rabbit-like ears in frustration while the smaller figure, male by the looks of him, turned to pace back onto the bridge. Inside, he gathered his belongings and turned to his companion with a smile on his face. The woman, a Viera with an exotic beauty held her tongue. "I can't even see the place down there, let alone traverse it on foot," Balthier states as he eyes Fran, her eyes rolling as she scoffs inwardly. The Strahl rocks slightly in the wind, jostling Fran into an accidental embrace with her companion, who smiles down at her casually. "If I wasn't so certain, I'd say you didn't want me to go," The pirate stated with his grin widening. Fran pulled out of Balthier's arms and held out his gun, urging him to leave. "Don't plan on not coming back," The Viera stated smoothly as Balthier took his rifle from her grip. "You're going to need to take good care of that bike. It's far too much trouble to fix when you're not around, let alone when you're out riding it." Balthier laughed and patted her shoulder, his hand brushing her cheek. "Not to worry, I'll take good care of it. You just take good care of this ship and yourself," The dashing pirate planted a kiss on Fran's cheek, darting off towards the hangar, and mounted the bike in one fell leap as the hatch below opened, the bike and rider falling slowly through the blustery blizzard. The Viera warrior folded her arms, shivering a bit from the cold as she watched her companion leave with the hatch doors closing slowly. "Pirates..." As his descent increased, Balthier lowered the hoverbike slowly until the engine itself began to sputter. "No, why now?" He asked himself as he checked the gauges, the bike coming to a rather unflattering stop as it his nose first, sending its rider skyward. The pirate flipped and landed firmly in the snow, eyeing the bike as it toppled over next to him, the light fading from its hoverdiscs. "Fran's going to kill me," He mumbled, eyeing the structure up ahead, only raising his arm to hide his face from the stinging snow. As he trudged slowly upward, he noted that it was hidden from their skyward view because of the blizzard and snow, and it was a sight to behold. So elegant in its simplicity, Balthier found himself staring as if he'd found yet another treasure. "Nothing like the buildings in Rabanastre, but... quaint. Rather... quaint." The pirate came to the closed doors and pushed with one hand, finding it difficult to move. He tried with two, not only frustrated, but annoyed that this so called "Black Mamba" refused to allow such immediate entry. Balthier mumbled to himself and raised a heavily adorned hand to his chin in thought. "Now why would..." His eyes caught glimpse of the door itself, and there seemed to be no visible locks. His hands searched the door as he arched a curious brow. "Difficult girl, aren't we?" The pirate's hands found what he was searching for and the doors of the temple swung open slowly. Determined to keep up his roguish demeanor, Balthier crept slowly inside, noting that somewhere inside lurked the "Black Mamba". He kept his guard up, and his rifle close, walking almost casually as he snuck about.
