The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: The Good Guys vs. The Bad Guys

For thousands of years, extraordinary people with powers and abilities that defy all rules have been thought to exist only in the minds of science fiction authors and mythological tales. Humans with the power to cast lightning, to kill at will, to change a person’s thoughts, to do anything they wish. Little did the world know that these beings do in fact exist.

However, they are not all as sweet and kind as they are made out to be. Some hold only the power to do evil in the world, and they plan to use their power against humanity in order to conquer all. But as they say…where there is evil...there is good.

It is the year 2020, and the world is about to discover that there is in fact superheroes and super villains. Two Leagues of Extraordinary Gentlemen are currently being formed by 2 Extraordinary people. One to destroy the world...the other to save it.

Welcome to The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Good vs. Evil. Since you are reading this, chances are you are indeed a fan of science fiction. And in science fiction, there is usually always a good guy, and a bad guy. Surely you have a favorite correct? Yes, I thought so. Here is the RP for you to take control of your favorite good guy or your favorite bad guy.

The world where we will be playing in is modern day Earth, though for the sake of the game, there will be no government interference just like in the majority of the franchises. Meaning that there is a New York City, there is an Amsterdam, there is an Africa and a North America.

Initially I had planned to give a certain list of good and bad guys for you to choose from, but after thinking it through, I'll let everyone have the flexibility of choosing their own character from their favorite movie, book, comic book, whatever you want!

I'm aiming for having 3-5 characters in both leagues. The only catch is that once someone chooses a character from a certain franchise (i.e. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings) that franchise is closed and no other character can be chosen from that particular franchise. For example, if I choose to be Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, you can't choose to be Aragon from Lord of the Rings, but you can be Alice from Resident Evil. Get it? Good. Moving on.

A character doesn't exactly have to have some power to be considered extraordinary. A person can have a skill with something such as a sword, computers, explosives, etc. Or a person can have a skill with something that's not tangible such as with the spoken word. A character might have the skill of manipulation or great stealth. Bottom line is someone doesn't need to be able to shoot lightning from their hands to be in a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

I will play The Bride from the Kill Bill series, and she will be the leader of the "good guy" league as I'm the GM. If your going to play for the "bad guy" league, then include in your PM whether you want your character to be the leader of the league.

Rules:

•Obey the TOS at ALL times
•PM Character Sheet to me before posting
•Cussing to a minimum and only what's allowed in the TOS
•If your going to play then play, don't join then post once and not post again
•Try to proof read your work. I don't mind grammatical errors as I make them all the time, but I do mind obvious spelling errors.
•Details!
•One character per person
•One character per franchise (see above)
•No killing of another character
•No auto hitting/god-modding
•No flaming/baiting
•Post in proper format ( IC:, TAG:, etc)
•Keep all OOCs to a bare minimum
•No more than 10 players ( 5 per league is max)
•Everyone has problems, including your character
•I don"t like to judge, but if I see you joined a week ago, I probably won"t accept
•Do enjoy the game

Oh, and chunky posts are always good. wink

Biography:
Balthier is a 22-year-old Hume sky pirate who pilots the Strahl, a small airship, around the skies of Ivalice. He and his companion, Fran, prefer to remain outside of the war between the kingdoms of Ivalice. However, their attempt to steal a magicite (actually the Dusk Shard Nethicite) went bad; Vaan stole it first, and events forced them to join up in the Resistance over time.

Born Ffamran Mid Bunansa, he is the son of Dr. Cid, though he grew weary of his father's madness and obsession with Nethicite. Although Cid had made him an Imperial Judge, Ffamran eventually decided to cut his ties with his father and his role as a judge, becoming a sky pirate under a new name. With this new career change, Balthier amassed a sizable bounty on his head, attracting the attention of bounty hunters such as Ba'Gamnan. Unfortunately for Balthier, it took him a while to realize he'd been following his father in pursuing Nethicite while he served in the resistance.

Balthier claims to be the "leading man" of the story many times throughout the game, and insists that this status makes him invincible. This was furthered by his near-death experience when the Sky Fortress Bahamut was destroyed near Rabanastre. Though presumed dead, he and Fran apparently retrieved the Strahl back from Vaan and Penelo, leaving a note for the new Queen Ashe, indicating he is still alive.

Biography: A lone flaming arrow in the sky would be the signal for King Sharaman and his son, the Prince of Persia, to attack the Maharajah's palace. After the ensuing battle, King Sharaman looted the city and seized an incredible hourglass full of mystical sand known as the sands of time, while the Prince embarked on an adventure of his own, attaining a mysterious dagger that allowed him to control time itself. The Vizier demanded to have the dagger as his reward, but the King refused to take the dagger from his son, who had captured it first.

During the celebrations at Azad, the Vizier, still bitter over the King's refusal, would stop at nothing to achieve possession of the dagger from the Prince. "Inside the hourglass is a marvel that no living man has seen", he said, tricking the Prince into releasing the Sands of Time and allowing them to spill forth and work unspeakable horrors upon the land. Only the Prince, the Vizier, and Farah, the kidnapped daughter of the Maharajah, remained unchanged due to their possessions; the Prince's dagger, the Vizier's staff, and Farah's medallion.

On a journey of redemption to repair the damage he had caused, the Prince teamed with Farah to return the sands to the hourglass. As his journey continued, the Prince often found himself drawing closer to his companion Farah, eventually forming a romance as they progressed closer to their destination. However, the Prince knew that Farah had every reason to hate him for conquering her people, and from the visions he received, he suspected that Farah planned to steal the dagger from him. Sure enough, after the Prince's paranoia got the better of him, Farah took the dagger as well as the Prince's sword and attempted to return the sands to the hourglass herself, leaving only her medallion with the Prince to protect him.

When the Prince eventually caught up with her, she was in a desperate situation, trying to fend off several sand creatures but fell to her death before the Prince could save her. Mourning the death of Farah, the Prince verbally confronts the weakened Vizier and strikes the Hourglass with the dagger, reversing the flow of time to the point prior to the battle against the Maharajah. The Prince, still with the dagger in his possession, sets off to find Farah, to warn her of the Vizier's treachery before the sands are released. Finding Farah awake in her room, he shares with her his epic tale, only to be interrupted in the morning by the Vizier.

The Prince confronts the Vizier, and in doing so the Vizier admits his treacherous ways within Farah’s earshot, including his intentions to kill her. The Prince, however, manages to slay the Vizier and foil his plan. Placing the dagger safely in Farah’s possession, the Prince leaves her wondering who he is and if the story he told her was actually true.

The Prince, in a desperate move, sought council from the wise old man that had raised him. The prince becomes more violent personality. It is with him that the Prince learns of the existence of the The Island of Time - birthplace of the Sands of Time, and governed by the Empress of Time. Thinking only of his survival, the Prince sets sail for the island to prevent the sands from ever being created. His belief is that if the sands are not created then there would be no reason for the Dahaka to chase him. However, many obstacles attempt to prevent the Prince from reaching the island and his goal. First, his ship is attacked by an army led by a mysterious woman in black named Shahdee. During the ensuing combat, she manages to throw him overboard, destroy his ship and kill his entire crew. Luckily, the Prince manages to survive and drifts ashore the Island.

Wandering along the massive cliffs, he encounters Shahdee once again, whom he chases deep into the fortress of the island. During his chase, he inadvertently follows her into one of the many time portals in the fortress, which connect the present with the past. Continuing his pursuit into the past, he finds Shahdee trying to murder an unknown woman in red named Kaileena. The Prince engages Shahdee once more in battle, kills her, and saves Kaileena. Denied an audience with the Empress of Time to state his case, the Prince is then faced with the task of activating the two island towers, which in time will open the doors to the Empress' throne room. The Prince eventually succeeds in reaching the throne room only to discover that Kaileena is the Empress of Time.

Kaileena, motivated by the Prince, also attempts to defy her fate. She has seen her doomed position in the timeline - to die at the hands of the Prince. Fulfilling the timeline, the Prince kills Kaileena, not understanding the consequences. Though the Prince believed it was all over, he could not have been more wrong: Kaileena's remains became the sands of time. Ironically, the Prince's quest was to prevent the Sands from coming to be, it was his own actions that created them, leading him along his destructive path. The Prince, still pursued by the Dahaka, stumbles across a mural which shows the impossible: The tale of the Mask of the Wraith. Using this artifact, the Prince becomes the Sandwraith, and is allowed one last chance to avoid his destiny. In his attempt to ensure that the Sands are never created, the Prince avoids killing Kaileena in the past, planning instead to take her into the present. By doing this, the Sands of Time would not be created in the past, the Maharajah would never find them, and thus the Prince would never open them. Instead, the Prince had resigned Kaileena to what was once his fate, dooming her to the same stalking menace who once chased the Prince. The Prince, in an effort to save Kaileena, then combats the Dahaka and defeats him by stabbing him through his skull with the mystical Water Sword and sends him to sea below.

After the Dahaka's defeat, together, the Prince and Kaileena set sail for Babylon, finally at peace. However, during his journey home, he had a vision. The Prince saw his great home in flames, an unknown enemy attacking, and his father's crown fall. He had been warned that his journey would not end well.

GM OOC: We already have 4 characters for the "Goody Guy" league so if we can, any new players try to pick a character for the "Bad Guy" league so everything is evened out. Once we have about 4 players for the "Bad Guy" league we'll begin.

Name: Beatrix Kiddo
Alias: The Bride; Black Mamba
Franchise: Kill Bill vol. 1 & 2
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Species: Human
Birthplace: United States
Affiliation: Leader of the “Good Guys”
Personality
~Traits: Beatrix has a very bad attitude, fights for justice, and even though is a good person at heart, is known for her extreme lack of compassion, mercy, and forgiveness. She has no problem killing or torturing someone for information.
~Likes: Bring justice to the world, Hatori Hanzo; swords and her daughter B.B.
~Dislikes: The members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, particularly Bill and Elle Driver as well as injustice.
Appearance The Bride
~Skin Color: Light tan
~Hair Color: Short, straight, blonde hair.
~Eye Color: A dark, icy blue color.
~Clothing: Has many different outfits, but her favorite is her trademark yellow jumpsuit.
Abilities
~Powers: N/A
~Skills: Beatrix is the perfect example of a modern day Samurai. She is incredibly skilled with the traditional Samurai katana, has perfected the Tiger/Crane style of Kung Fu and is a master of acrobatics. Her skill with the Katana is legendary and above all. She was taught by legendary Kung Fu master Pai Mei, whom he taught the “Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique”, the deadliest blow that can be given in martial arts. The technique would kill the user by the 5th step by pressing 5 pressure points around the heart.
Weapons: The Bride's Demon Katana
The Bride uses only her hand made Hatori Hanzo; katana for combat, which is said to be the greatest sword every created. It can cut through virtually anything it comes across, and is indestructible. She has in her possession however, the Hatori Hanzo; swords of Bill and Budd, though she keeps them for sentimental purposes only.
Biography: The Bride, codename "Black Mamba", was a former member of "Deadly Viper Assassination Squad", an elite, shadowy group of assassins. A formidable, ruthless warrior trained under martial arts master Pai Mei, she served at the right hand of Bill, her boss and lover, a position that provoked the furious envy of the other Vipers, especially Elle Driver, who was also Bill's lover.

Kiddo abandoned the dangerous life of an assassin after she learned she was pregnant with Bill's child. Thus she faked her own death and hid in rural Texas under the name "Arlene Machiavelli," and got engaged to a young man named Tommy Plimpton. Bill found her, however, and gate-crashed her wedding rehearsal with the other Vipers and murdered everyone inside. Bill then shot her in the head, leaving her in a seemingly irreversible coma. She remained comatose for four years and six months, during which she was repeatedly prostituted and raped by an orderly named Buck.

Awakened just as one of Buck's "clients" was about to violate her, she killed Buck and the would-be rapist, and then went on a mission to exact revenge on the other Vipers. She first traveled to Japan, where she trained under the legendary swordsmith Hattori Hanzo;, who forged her one of his priceless katanas.

After killing Vipers O-Ren Ishii and Vernita Green, she went after Budd, Bill's brother. Budd shot her point-blank range in the chest with a shotgun loaded with rock salt, then buried her alive in order to collect a bounty from her old rival, Driver. She escaped, however, and went back to Budd's trailer — where he lay dead of a black mamba bite, with Driver standing over him. Driver engaged her in battle, and revealed that she had killed Pai Mei as revenge for tearing out her eye. Enraged, Kiddo tore out the other one and left Driver to die in the middle of the desert. She then pursued her final target, Bill.

When she found him, however, she discovered that their daughter, B.B., whom she presumed had died in uterus, was alive and well. They spent the evening together as a family until B.B. went to bed, and then Bill and Kiddo settled their differences; Bill explained his reasons for nearly killing her, while she admitted she couldn't be happy as anything other than a warrior--except, perhaps, as a mother.

At the end of their conversation, a brief battle ensued where Kiddo fatally struck Bill with the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique. As Bill died, the two forgave each other and made their peace. The Bride then disappeared with B.B. in the middle of the night.

At the moment she is currently busy uniting a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in order to save the world.

Species: human
Birthplace: Eridanus II
Affiliation: good
Personality
~Traits: quite, honest, and caring for his friends
~Likes: like to kill
~Dislikes: people who lie. Strangers. And backstabbers
Appearance
~Skin Color: pale white
~Hair Color: unknown
~Eye Color: unknown
~Clothing: mark !V armor
Abilities
~Powers: superhuman strength, speed, tolerance for weapons fire, reflexes, and sight
~Skills: using everything and anything to fight. Thinking fast
Weapons: shotgun, battle rifle, 3 frag gernades
Biography: At the age of six, John was considered a "unique" child. He was stronger, smarter, and faster than all the other children in his grade. Dr. Halsey and Lieutenant Jacob Keyes went to his colony to visit him or "view" him and were quite amazed by his reflexes and luck when Dr. Halsey flipped a quarter and he almost seemed to know which side it would land on. John and quite a few other children his age were covertly kidnapped from their homes, and replaced with Flash Clones. Early on he seemed to be a leader among the Spartan children, and it was not long until he became the Spartans' squad leader.
Six years into Spartan training, John underwent physical augmentation and was one of only 33 to survive the process and remain fit for combat duty. During his time with the Spartans, John was deemed the "luckiest" and was the first to test the MJOLNIR armor.

Before the Battle of Reach, he had fought in 207 ground engagements against the Covenant, and garnered every major service medal except The Prisoner of War Medallion. It is also during this time that he is deemed the best Spartan candidate by Dr. Halsey to work with and protect Cortana. She explains that although he is neither the smartest, strongest, nor fastest of the Spartans, he is the most well-balanced, having each of those qualities in equal measure; he is also the bravest of all the Spartans and quite possibly the "luckiest" as well.

Name: Karl Ruprecht Kroenen
Alias: Der Nazi Zauberer (The Nazi Sorcerer)
Franchise: Hellboy
Gender: Male
Age: 110
Species: Undead Human
Birthplace: Munich, Germany; 1897
Affiliation: Evil League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Personality: He is a sadomasochist and suffers from body dysmorphic disorder. He is also a perfectionist and suffers from mysophobia, fear of germs. He enjoys the art of music and singing. He likes to work on clocks and other mechancial machinations. He is also obsessed with purity.
Appearance
~Skin Color: Very pale white
~Hair Color: Blonde
~Eye Color: Blue
~Clothing:

Abilities
~Powers: He is undead and apparently cannot die very easily. His heart has been replaced with a mechanical clock-like part that can allow him to feign death. He also has a mechanical right hand.
~Skills: Lethal with a variety of weapons, especially with knives and tonfas.
Weapons: Tonfa-style Knives, Luger and/or Walther P22
Biography: Karl Ruprecht Kroenen was born in Munich, Germany in 1897. A musical prodigy with angelic features and blonde hair, young Kroenen toured the capitals of Europe singing opera until his voice deepened with the onset of puberty, thereby ending his career. From a very early age, he demonstrated symptoms of sadomasochism, whipping himself with a fresh branch of oak each day, and finding pleasure in the pain. Kroenen also had an affinity for all things mechanical, leading to his hobby of designing clocks, toys, and complex automata.

As a teenager, he loathed his awkwardness and may have developed an extreme form of body dysmorphic disorder. He conducted a series of brutal experiments, removing his eyelids, upper lip, and lower lip. As a result, his face was horribly disfigured, and he suffered from a sadomasochistic compulsion commonly referred to as surgical addiction. He later designed a tight-fitting gas mask to filter out germs.

In 1930, he met the resurrected monk Grigori Rasputin for the first time. Obsessed with purity, Kroenen quickly became Rasputin’s most loyal disciple. He subsequently joined the Nazi Party, and rose quickly through the ranks, joining the Schutzstaffel in 1933 and achieving the rank of Obersturmbannführer, or Lieutenant Colonel. He was awarded the Iron Cross for services to the Third Reich. He became head of the Thule Society, a group of German aristocrats obsessed with the occult. He helped them to spearhead Project Ragna Rok, engineering the portal generator that would conjure the Scarlet Beast, Hellboy, in October 1944.

When Allied forces stormed the island off the coast of Scotland where Project Ragna Rok was taking place, Kroenen lost his left hand when he tried to retrieve a live grenade thrown by the young Professor Trevor Bruttenholm. The grenade landed right beside the portal generator, and the spinning blades of the mechanism severed Kroenen’s hand. When the grenade exploded, a length of shrapnel impaled Kroenen through the heart. Shortly thereafter, he disappeared, although how he escaped and where he went remains a mystery.

After Kroenen's disappearance, records were found of his experiments to fuse steel to bone. This is further evidence of Kroenen's philosophy that humanity’s future lay in the marriage of flesh and machine. In 1956, an unmarked grave in Romania was found. Dental records identified the remains as those of Kroenen. Thus, Kroenen’s reappearance in 2004 is a mystery.

Using arcane science, Kroenen created a prosthetic hand and heart that operated on clockwork engineering. By cranking the key-like mechanism where his heart should be, he effectively wound up his wrists, allowing him to wield his baton swords, or tonfas, with superhuman skill and precision. He could also turn the key to “switch” his body off, remaining in a dormant state and appearing dead, until his masters, the Ogdru Jahad, reanimated him. He used this deceptive technique to infiltrate BPRD headquarters.

A ruthless and cunning assassin, Kroenen is responsible for the deaths of countless people, including scores of Allied troops, and Hellboy’s father figure, Trevor Bruttenholm. He also critically wounded Agent Clay. In Kroenen’s lair beneath Rasputin’s mausoleum in Moscow, Russia, Hellboy avenged his friends when he threw Kroenen into his own trap — an impalement pit hidden beneath a trapdoor. Skewered on the stakes, the undead Kroenen then watched helplessly as Hellboy dropped a giant cog on top of him.

Biography: The Terminator was to be the ultimate weapon devised by the military supercomputer Skynet to be used against the remaining human resistance. It was thought that a machine designed to the specifications of the human skeleton, and subsequently encased in specially-grown flesh and tissue, would be able to infiltrate military structures disguised as a human and, subsequently, terminate human life from within the outpost. Every aspect of this cybernetic organism is geared toward infiltration without detection. Not only does it look human, but it sweats, smells, bleeds and can even mimic specific human voices perfectly. However, animals can sense the presence of mechanical moving parts, and dogs were often used at guarded checkpoints to detect any entering the area.

To aid in its role as a killer, its endoskeleton is constructed from a hyperalloy (Titanium-tungsten) to form a hardened combat-chassis, and thus is rendered all but immune to 20th century small arms fire, although repeated shotgun blasts actually have enough force to knock it down. They can operate for up to 120 years without needing new power cells. If the power cells are depleted or damaged, the unit can access an alternate source of power that allows it to continue functioning for some time.

Biography: Eddie Brock was a reporter who blamed Peter Parker for debunking his reward story, the Sin-Eater case, humiliating Brock and ruining his career, forcing him to find work with cheap gossip magazines. Attracted by his intense hatred of Spider-Man the symbiote bonded with Brock. When bonded, Venom speaks using the first person plural case (we), signifying that Eddie Brock and the symbiote are two separate entities joined together - although, on occasion, Eddie refers to it as 'My other and I'. When he had devoured the original Carnage symbiote, he even referred to himself as '...one big, happy family'. They fought Spider-Man many times, and came close to winning on several occasions. As well as fueling Brock's rage against Spider-Man, the symbiote allowed him to indulge in a sporadic career as a vigilante. After switching back and forth a number of times-either helping Spider-Man or fighting against him, Brock sold the symbiote to Don Fortunato after he discovered he had a brain tumor.

Biography: Glory is a god from a hell dimension, over which she ruled alongside two other deities; she was the most powerful of the three. Afraid that Glory would take full control of their dimension, the other two began a war against her; Glory lost the war and was banished into the earthly dimension, where she was forced to share a body with a child named Ben, who was created solely to hold her.

She soon began to gain control over Ben for short periods of time, taking the form of a vain, self-centered human female who possessed superhuman strength but lacked many of her other powers. A magical "amnesia" spell keeps humans from learning that Glory and Ben are one and the same, even if she transforms right in front of them.

In order to maintain her sanity and power, Glory feeds off other humans by a process she refers to as "brain-sucking." She inserts her fingers into the victim's head, absorbing the energies that bind the victim's mind. The humans that she "devours" in this way become incoherent and mentally unstable.

She joined the Evil League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (and gentlewomen) in order to create the hell dimension she was forced out of on earth and regain her full powers, escaping her human form.

IC: Beatrix Kiddo
Japan - Mt. Fuji - Hidden Temple

The cold, icy wind howled as light, fluffy snow fell on the plush ground of Mt. Fuji. The surrounding Sakura trees where a pearl white due to the constant snowfall atop the mountain. The roof top of the hidden temple was also littered with snow, allowing it to blend in well with its surroundings.

Inside the temple were large, pink bonsai trees, as well as thousands tea lights which were the main source of light inside the temple. At the center of temple, was the "Black Mamba" as she was commonly referred to, sitting down in standard meditation form. She wore a customary, white Japanese robe, and slowly sipped a warm cup of green tea as she waited the arrival of her allies. Her Katana lay sheathed next to her, its black, glossy scabbard shinning brightly due to the large amount of light being given off by the candles.

Now she would have to test her little patience as she waited for the arrival of her allies. Her first choice was Balthier, a near human sentient who was known for his skills of stealth and thievery. He provided several skills to the League that would be imperative to its success. Another member recruited by the Black Mamba, was Collosus, a mutant of pure strength and stamina. He was able to transform himself into steel and metal, filling in the brute force part of the league. The Prince of Persia, a warrior unlike many, had many powers that would certainly give the League an edge such as the ability to manipulate time. Their last member is the Master Cheif, a solder recommended by the U.S. government for his extreme skill with modern weapons. His skill with explosives and modern day weapons would give the League contrast from that of the Black Mamba's skill with the Katana. Now the strategy part of the League would be taken care of by Black Mamba. She would use her cunning, skills of manipulation, and her surprising skill of intimidation to get around any corners that brute force could not handle.

The Black Mamba had already sent the location of the temple to the other members of the League, meaning that they should arrive promptly. She was anxious to see in what state the other members would be in, and what they would truly be like. She had never met any of them in person, instead she sent her servants to do any negotiating that had to be done.

Balthier

Japan - Mt. Fuji - Above the Hidden Temple - Onboard the Strahl

The airship hovered above the snowy peak, as two shadowed figures stood at the bridge, eyeing the area below with disdain. The larger figure, clearly female, twitched her rabbit-like ears in frustration while the smaller figure, male by the looks of him, turned to pace back onto the bridge. Inside, he gathered his belongings and turned to his companion with a smile on his face. The woman, a Viera with an exotic beauty held her tongue.

"I can't even see the place down there, let alone traverse it on foot," Balthier states as he eyes Fran, her eyes rolling as she scoffs inwardly. The Strahl rocks slightly in the wind, jostling Fran into an accidental embrace with her companion, who smiles down at her casually. "If I wasn't so certain, I'd say you didn't want me to go," The pirate stated with his grin widening.

Fran pulled out of Balthier's arms and held out his gun, urging him to leave. "Don't plan on not coming back," The Viera stated smoothly as Balthier took his rifle from her grip. "You're going to need to take good care of that bike. It's far too much trouble to fix when you're not around, let alone when you're out riding it."

Balthier laughed and patted her shoulder, his hand brushing her cheek. "Not to worry, I'll take good care of it. You just take good care of this ship and yourself," The dashing pirate planted a kiss on Fran's cheek, darting off towards the hangar, and mounted the bike in one fell leap as the hatch below opened, the bike and rider falling slowly through the blustery blizzard. The Viera warrior folded her arms, shivering a bit from the cold as she watched her companion leave with the hatch doors closing slowly.

"Pirates..."

As his descent increased, Balthier lowered the hoverbike slowly until the engine itself began to sputter. "No, why now?" He asked himself as he checked the gauges, the bike coming to a rather unflattering stop as it his nose first, sending its rider skyward. The pirate flipped and landed firmly in the snow, eyeing the bike as it toppled over next to him, the light fading from its hoverdiscs.

"Fran's going to kill me," He mumbled, eyeing the structure up ahead, only raising his arm to hide his face from the stinging snow. As he trudged slowly upward, he noted that it was hidden from their skyward view because of the blizzard and snow, and it was a sight to behold. So elegant in its simplicity, Balthier found himself staring as if he'd found yet another treasure.

"Nothing like the buildings in Rabanastre, but... quaint. Rather... quaint." The pirate came to the closed doors and pushed with one hand, finding it difficult to move. He tried with two, not only frustrated, but annoyed that this so called "Black Mamba" refused to allow such immediate entry. Balthier mumbled to himself and raised a heavily adorned hand to his chin in thought. "Now why would..." His eyes caught glimpse of the door itself, and there seemed to be no visible locks.

His hands searched the door as he arched a curious brow. "Difficult girl, aren't we?" The pirate's hands found what he was searching for and the doors of the temple swung open slowly. Determined to keep up his roguish demeanor, Balthier crept slowly inside, noting that somewhere inside lurked the "Black Mamba". He kept his guard up, and his rifle close, walking almost casually as he snuck about.

IC: The Prince
Japan - Mt.Fuji - Below the Hidden Temple

Walking.

The Prince had not walked for a long time. The Dahaka had stole that pleasure from him long ago. This walking was a stranger to the Prince's weary legs. He felt that something was wrong because he wasn't running away from something.

He continued to walk and climb up the Mt. that he had been told to come to. A few days ago he had been stopped by a messenger who told him to come to this mountain to meet a "Black Mamba" creature. The Prince was hesitant to come at first, but after contemplating the danger of a minor venture, he decided that there was nothing malicious about it.

He reached a spot where the blizzard winds started to sting his arms and face. He had prepared thoroughly for this adventure, but a blizzard was not even heard of in Persia. He managed to pull his eyes up above a blocking rock to see the temple that had been mentioned by the messenger in the distance. After examining the door from this point, he concluded that there was no danger or traps ahead as far as he could tell.

After pulling himself up and over the edge, he walked cautiously to the door. As he approached it closer he discovered that it was already open. His hand quickly shot to his sword. If the door was open that meant that someone had beat him here. Which meant that this Black Mamba wasn't alone.

The Prince pulled the lion sword out slowly and silently as he entered the temple. Keeping low to the ground and close to the wall, he stayed out of sight as he moved deeper into the unknown.

Atlantic Ocean - Remote Private Island - Cliffside Fortress

T flipped the top of his communicator down. He dropped the phone like device off of the top of the tower. He watched as the chunk of metal fell down to the foaming Ocean and was lost from view. T gazed out onto the horizon and thought about his new team. He had found the most ruthless and dangerous criminals alive. According to his internal computer they were some of the greatest minds and the strongest muscles. Most were complete freak's of nature. Although he was a machien from the future, so he couldn't talk.

T ambled down the steps that lead to the main hall. He walked to the front of the room and climbed another set of stairs up to the High seats. He had arranged for the seats to be added so that he could fit his new council and a round table. Behind him lay bullet proof glass. He sat down on his throne and gazed at the new furnishings. He had also requested that the new chair have weapons included and also hide an arsenal of guns, in case the need for violence arose.

The Model 101 then gazed at the door and waited for his new team to arrive.
