I've asked Beast to leave this thread open for about 48 hours to see if anyone would like to step up and replace him as GM. I think this thread is doing well and it would be a shame to have to close it.

I will offer to do the job. As coGM, Bluebeast told me a few things he was planning on and where he was going with a few things. I, unfortunatly, had run into some major RL issuses and had been torn away from the boards in general. I only reccently made it back and have, little by little, attempted to catch up.
Only when I asked BlueBeast to post me an update so I knew where to start, he informed me he was leaving.
I don't know if you guys even want me as a GM, so I'm not begging you. But do know that I have an extensive knowledge of the HP world and plan on working both the old and the new (Bluebeast's ideas) into the game.
So.... there you have it.

Okay, so after reviewing the whole game, here's a list of characters. Names in red are those who I'm pretty sure aren't playing anymore. If you know of anyone else I either missed or who are no longer playing in the game, please PM me. Also, PM me if I have your year or house wrong.
I will be, along with my GM update, will be posting a list of the faculty and staff at Hogwarts as well as names of NRC Prefects and students. If your character should be a Prefect, please let me know.
As far as where we are in the game, this is my understanding:
-It is the first day of classes
-The seventh years are headed off to Auror training
-The sixth years are in flight class about to have a scrimage Quidditch game
-The fourth years are in defence against the dark arts class
-The first years are no where to be seen
-There aren't any 2nds, 3rds, or 5ths

Office of Professor Fernis, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
It was the first day of class and Basil had already given out two detentions and taken 10 points from each house. He decided that this was going to be a long year. Now at his desk, he leaned back in his chair, sipping on a warm cup of tea. The red howler now seemed to stare at him from his crowded desk.
Headmaster Glistar had smiled and told him he would take care of it when Basil had brought it to him over lunch. That was, of course, before the food fight had caused the whole faculty to become distracted from their meals. Now Professor Fernis sat, wondering exactly what it meant.
A light knock on the door was a pleasant distraction.
“Come in.” he called, straightening in his chair. But the door didn’t move. “Who’s there?” he called louder.
“Banana.”
Rolling his eyes, he leaned back into his chair. “Banana who?” There was no answer, just another knock.
“Who’s there? COME IN!”
“Banana!” the voice called.
Annoyed, Basil got up and opened the door. “BANANA WHOOOOO!!!”
The next moment, he found himself hanging from his shoelaces in the middle of the corridor with a loud, bellowing laughter surrounding him. Peeves, the oh-so-annoying poltergeist of Hogwarts, was bouncing off the walls… literally. With a huge grin on his face, Peeves floated over to Basil and knocked on his for head.
“KNOCK KNOCK!!” Basil crossed his arms in response. Peeves frowned as he turned himself upside down in similar fashion to the professor. “If you don’t answer, I won’t give you the message from Professor Silvee.”

Just outside the main door of Hogwarts
As the trolls pushed open the door in front of them, Kendrix and Rhys found themselves looking out to two ancient, black buggies with two black horses attached to each one.
The trolls took no time to shove their belongings into the back and usher each one towards their carriage, Kendrix in the first and Rhys in the second. A house elf stood poised with the door in hand at each one.
“Master Rhys. I am Fromp.” The house elf said with a bow of his shinny, black top hat. “I will be assisting you throughout the coming weeks of your trial.”
The house elf on Kendrix’s carriage announced the same, rehearsed speech… only his name was Hecker.
