"Ok, we need to wait for the others to get here in the maen time we could prime everybody's ships for lauch so we can be off as soon as they get here. Axe attach Alex's Warthog and my glider into a Pelican, you can ride in that with me and Alex when he get's here. Dmentae will go in his Banshee and Winter can go in his long sword. It's a shame that we can't take land vehicles in his Longswoed, other wise we could all go in that. Right let's get to work."

Winter was running throug the corridors avoiding the Covenant as best he could. This is why i request to be left out of cryo! he tought to himself as he rounded a corner and came face to face with an Elite holding a plasma rifle. Without missing a single beat Winter side steped to the right, narrowly avoiding a burst of fire from the Elites rifle. Quickly throwing a right hook at the elites neck line, he triggered the deployment of his wrist mounted dagger. The tip hit the elites shield, and it held for a few moments, but a hole formed under the pressure of the Spartan's inhanced strength.
The Elite 'gurggled' or whatever passed for gurgling coming from the squid-lipped alien. Winter's Dagger slid back into its hidden location, and he drew his M6D pistol. Drawing a clip from an ammo pouch on the waist line of his suit he slid it into locking position and racked the guns slide. Then he was on the move, quickly moving through several corridors and introducing 3 grunts to some M225 Semi-Armor Piercing High Explosive rounds. Rounding a final corner he spotted two of his Spartan Brethren, Alex and Zach. and managed to catch Zach saying "I smell Brute!!!"
"Then the Filtration system in your suits malfunctioning Zach, you should have had the Techies look at it." He slide another clip into the pistol and walked up to the others, "We going to get this show on the road or are you two ladies Window shoping?" he said in a rare joke.

"Well the only other thing that could smell that bad would be you Winter!!" Zach gave his zinger back as he loaded a clip in his SMG. "Lets roll." Just as Zach turned the corner of the corridor he ran straight into a grunt. The short, blue creature jumped back and screeched! Zach got 2 inches from the grunts face and yelled,"BOO!!" The grunt started running down the long corridor screaming for his fellow covenant to help him. Zach calmly loaded a ammo cartridge in his sniper rifle and took his time, aimed on the grunts head, and dropped him in one shot. The noise that followed must have alerted covenant near by because 3 elites, 2 jackals, and 1 grunt turned the corner and started firing at Winter, Alex, and Zach

Alex looked at Zach and tilted his head "You had to shoot that thing didn-cha!" he ducked back as the covies fired down the corridor he unholstered his pistol and turned the scope on, aiming round the corner he shot the jackel through its shield gap and then fired upon the Elites, one wailed as a bullet pssed through his shield and took it through the center of its chestplate "Two down, you guys do it" he nodded to zach and winter as he reloaded and switched to his shotgun, one brave elite started to make a run towards them, he roared as he charged.

"I'd Trade my Helmet for a grenade right now!" he said as he spun around the corner, pistol aimed at the Elite. "And I wish i hadn't put my Rifle on my fighter!" he yelled as he unloaded half of his clip into the elites head, only one round broke through his shield, but one round was more than enough. The back part of the Sangheili's helmet erupted in a spray of purple blood. "idiot." plasma fire flared his shields, and he was forced to retreat behind the corner again, "Alright Zach you caused this, and you got the rifle, you finish it."

"You just had to shoot that thing didn'cha," Alex commented. "As a matter of fact I did, and it was fun, so kill me!" Zach returned in a sarcastic manner.
"Alright Zach you caused this, and you got the rifle, you finish it.", Winter said as he shot 1 of the elites in the head.
"Fine, give me a sec," Zach reloaded a clip in his sniper rifle and took one deep breath, he then dove out into the corridor firing the first shot missed, the second nailed the remaining jackal right in the sweet spot, the third took out the remaining elites shield, and with a careful and steady eye the final shot hit the split-lip right between the eyes. The elite gave a groan and slumped to the floor in a pool of purple blood. At the sight of this the remaining grunt screamed and ran in fear.
"Alright, I finished it, now lets get to the freakin' hanger before anything else happens!!!"

Alex nodded to Zach "With you on that" he headed down the corridor at a run towards the direction of the hanger "Aeros incrase the motion scanner how many more of them are there and give me a route to avoid", a female voice replied "Motion detects two friendlies and 17 targets, they are however off my designated route, they will be no problem", "Thank god for that, send this route to 0031 and 775" he continued following the route set by Aeros as the AI sent the data to Winter and Zach

"Don't give me orders woman, my wife back on earth did that enough, I don't need you nagging me too!" Zach was getting aggravated, he HATED females telling him what to do.
"I'll try to keep my nagging to a minimum, but honestly, a woman's prerogative Zach, besides, I love it when you get angry," Alexis loved to screw around with Zach.

Jack saw Axe sign about the Grunts and that he was going to snipe from the air vents. Axe ran past hi and went up a ladder. Jack turned round to see several Coenants charging towards him, he drew out his a battle balde, it was a bout four feet long and about half a foot across, with one curved edge that was so sharp it could cur throuhg an elites shield in an instent.
The first Elite ran up to him, Jack slew him with a single strike as he did with the next three that came his way. But then a real chalenge came, a large Brute carrying a Plasma sword, of unique design, it's deep scarlet glow eluminated it snarling, grotesque features, the Brute pushed it's way through the ranks of the Covenant. Axe's sniper bullets just bounced of it's think armour, the brute grunnted and locked eyes with Jack.
"Everyone stand down, this one is mine"
OOC: Sorry to butt in but I have some remarks.  if your battle blade is 4 feet long and a half a foot wide, where do you keep it? Or can it dissolve into something smaller like an energy sword? Also wouldn't it be kinda hard to kill 4 elites that easily? You didn't even mention any of them firing at you. One last thing, If this is taking place between halo 1 and 2 there shouldn't be any brutes, they haven't been in the war yet.

OOC: well as the opening post includes Captain Keys, and the fact that we are a group of Spartan's never mentioned in any of the works, Game, Book, or otherwise, i'm guessing this can be fewed as a non canon RPG. and Brutes were first incountered Between halo and Halo 2, please see the Book "Halo: First Strike" Master chief incounteres a serise of Brutes onboard The Unyielding Hierophant circa September 13, 2552. Halo takes place on Circa September 19, 2552 -September 23, 2552, therefore the concept of Brutes here and now is Justified.
The preceding information is Canon and can be confermed in teh books "The Flood and First Strike.

OOC: Two thing 1) I have just been PMed by someone who wants to join the game, but hasn't sent me his Character sheet yet, so we when 'Winter's' group get to teh hanger we will just have to stop untill the other guy joins.
2) Going back to Dmantae's point about picking up weapons, I think that I will allow that, as it's a Halo game and the videogames are all about having the right weapons, to fit the situation,but there are rules to this, I will let you have hand held weapons and after that you will have to drop one of them, to get another.

Jack stood there playing with his sword and genrly being boared, waiting, he just wanted to be off to the Cuvanant base. Suddenly he heard foot steps getting faster and faster, uintil three hunters burst into the hanger followed my a score of grunts.
"Oh good" said Jack "the entertain met has arrived"
Jack dropped into a fighting stance as NOva told him the criticle points on the Hunters
"You need to aim for the belly and neck of the Hunters on your right and the back of the neck of the one on your left, that's their week point, so get on with it.

When Axe saw the Covenant soldiers approaching he immediatly dropped down and pulled out his sniper rifle. He quickly set it up. While he was adjusting the scope, Zero went about instructing him on which to fire on first. He took in the information and finished setting up. He looked through the scope and took aim.
Axe fired two shots in quick succession cropping two of the Grunts. He fired on one of the Hunters but it used it's shield to block it. I'll let Jack take care of him, he thought. He then took aim on the rest of the grunts and fired three shots. Everyone struck a different grunt in the head.

OOC: Ok let me clear this up, I have made thenew set of spartans up out of my imagination and there for can do what I want, yes it is a Non-Cannon game. And the reason the blade is four foot long si because, Spartans are about 8ft tall, so he walks around with it on his back, so there.

Jack, swiped at a elite that was pasing, but it blocked his attack, suprised Jack took another swing and yet agin it was blocked, usully the wightlessness of a Plasma Sword only stood up to one hit before the Elite dropped it, this was very strange, then Jack noticed that he had the same kind of sword as teh Elite, Dmantae had snipped earlier.
